Hello all I have done several searches for my model (Rogers Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-I747M) But I have not found. I would like to have a rom that has multi-tasking if someone can guide me would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your help.... (Translation by Google Translator)

I think pretty much all roms, especially official ones support multitasking. I think I might be misunderstanding the question.

I have a stock rom jelly bean 4.1.1 and i dont have the multi-task ( i mean the multi screen like 4.1.2 ) ??
I Think its called multiview? Hehe
Envoyé depuis mon SGH-I747M avec Tapatalk
There are at least 2 multiview ROMs that I know about: synergy and galaxymod (I think...)
Anyhow I'm on synergy but I almost cried when I lost IMEI...
So if you won't to go that route a word for the wise: search and read how to back it up.
Don't say you weren't warned...
Alternatevely you could wait... sometimes in Feb we might actually see official MultiView on S3...
(Having faith in Samsung updates I'd like you to note that I say "feb" but said nothing about in what year will this happen... )
The only rom I know of that supports multi Window and is pretty stable for your device is the synergy rom. You can find details about it here

So i am a bell customer, but i bought a rogers s3 on ebay brand new, paid for a unlock code. I am wondering how i go about doing updates on my phone. I want anything newer then 4.1.1 lol any help would be appreciated.
I have used the following and can confirm that Multi Window works great on all of them. Just look at what features appeal to you the most

Assuming that it is actually up and running on Bell, I would suggest rooting it, loading a custom recovery and then flashing whatever 4.2.2 ROM tickles your fancy. Personally I hate touchwiz, and thus run ASOP based ROMs, the best of which (in my opionion) is Slimbean.
There are some issues flipping between ROMs, especially in flipping between ASOP based and Touchwiz (TW) based ROMs as the framework is completely different. Basically you need to read and follow the instructions!

Here is the link to download the stock roms:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968625
Seeing as the Bell and Rogers S3 are identical, you should be able to flash the Bell ROM on your Rogers S3 (somebody correct me if I'm wrong plz). You would need to use an app called Odin to flash these roms.
1. Backup your data first
2. Put your phone in download mode (Google it)
3. The ROMS are in .zip file and you will have to extract them using Winzip or 7zip
4. Flash using Odin (select PDA checkbox, and load the .tar file that you extracted)
Also make sure to flash a modem that works best with Telus and Bell which is the MUMLL1
Which can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34397816

Hey why don't you just download the 4.1.2 firmware from SamMobile and update it to that if you want MultiWindow, just don't update your phone to 4.3/4.4.2 they are the worse updates to come out and should never have been rolled out yet. I have my two friends including myself that have updated to the latest and all 3 of us are having major battery drain issues even when phone isn't in use.
Take care fellow Rogers/Canadian:laugh:

I obviously have a tmo T999 check the baseband, you might notice it is a LH2 I believe. Just trying to open doors for people for more options to flash is the point of the thread and hopefully bring some cross development to both forums.
wtf.. didn't know it would change your model number description.. anyways what rom is it?
Yeah I knew it would change my build prop, but had no idea the kernel would work. The Rom is sweet and it is listed at the bottom of the pic(not sure how to spell it) Love the options this might open up. Just understand, it will be unsupported, so you have to be able to trouble shoot it if any issues arise(none as of 3+ hours)

I am new to this Android world. I came from AppleLand. I got T-mobile branded Galaxy S3 witch is SIM unlocked and currently using it with AT&T. I would like to flash AT&T rom on this t-mo Galaxy S3. I have no clue where to start and how to do it. I read on this forum that flash counter is may be a problem if I flash non stock ROM. My question is
1. Is it possible to flash ATT rom on T-Mo galaxy S3?
2. That counter thing is going to be a problem?
3. Is my phone has to be ROOTED first?
4. All AT&T apps will work?
5. If there is any problem, Can I go back to T-Mobile rom?
Thanks.

Can't wait to get some good MIUI ROMs on this phone, has anyone with a T999V tried flashing AT&T ROMs yet?
Just an update, I have flashed a working Sprint Rom, I had to edit the apn before flashing(if you don't know how to and what this is, don't do it you will not have data) but the Rom runs great. The Verizon Roms want to verify you are on Verizon, so I am working on it. So I have run AT&T and Sprint Roms with success with working data.

Yea, I just asked someone in the Jellybeer thread if I had to worry about that, or flash a modem, or kernel. To be on the safe side.... if so, Mmm..... back on AOSP, is going to feel so good. Lol

I too am running jellybeer and it is great it will do for now till whitehawkx and cmenard relese a nice shiny new AOKP rom for us (fingers crossed) it has some AOKP features in it. All I have to say is read read read and when you are done and think you got it read again. All the info is in the the first few posts of a rom thread. just make sure that there is no modem mostr devs do not include a modem but I have notices a few that are starting to put one in so just watch if they do they usually say so because like I said it is not standard pratice.
I do have a question I have not flashed any touchwiz att roms only the unofficial cm10 and jellybeer. So on the TW roms do you have to flash o tmo kernel? The reason I ask is because on the s2 the main difference was the rotation. It was always messed up so the way to fix it was to use a tmo kernel or vice versa . Until someone made a .zip that fixed that and the device name in the build.prop so is that the same situation here.. It doesnt sound like it.
And one m ore question while I am here I posted a question in the q&A thread if anyone knows the proper lcd density. I dont like the way jellybeer is it has small fonts on the phone but everything in the market is way too big and it is driving me nutts.

That i dont know, all the note II has the same hardware, correct me if im wrong. so i dont know if flashing a tmo note II kernel with a Att TW rom will work. but CleanRom is using Persus, and i think Tmo N2 has Persus kernel, so maybe it will work
Here it is guys, i took the risks with my heart pounding every second when it was installing and booting
Using CleanRom by scrosler, here is the link
I flashed the rom, in aroma, i choosed ATT as the carrier and persus kernel, then the rest is pretty self explanatory
then i flashed Tmo modem and Tmo Persus Kernel
it booted and it is running, i powered it off and took out the battery to test if it will power back on again, and indeed it did
Clean rom works perfectly without a flaw.. no need to install any kernel, modem or anything .

I see some people have hard time finding the way to get 50GB on dropbox for 2 years for free.
I couldn't find similar thread here, but I found this site ( MOD EDIT: REMOVED ) .apk and guide how to get it. So all the credits goes to that guy (noomi).
1.) Uninstall any Dropbox on your device.
2.) Download and install attached file via CWM
3.) Login, and after about 10-30 mins you’ll get an email that says you’ve got 48GB of space more.
Just tied it and I can confirm it's still working.

This is just as legal as flashing LEAKED (something leaked is not 100% legal) Jelly Bean, 'cuz this is dropbox app. ported from S3.
I don't think it's country/region dependent, maybe it's stock ROM dependent, I tried it on stock LSD (NEE) odexed ROM.
I don't know others, who confirmed it working, what ROM are they using, stock or custom.

Hi, this is my first post here and I've done some searching and I've got confused with the firmware names between stock and original.
Currently I have a T-mobile 4.1.1 baseband T889UVALL4 with T-mobile firmware.
What I am trying to understand and do is change from t-mobile firmware as it has t-mobile apps to a samsung firmware and their apps /non t-mobile apps.
Is this something possible? Where can I find these firmwares and what is the latest version?
Thanks & regards
First off welcome..Why dont u give tweaked a try. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242972 Its the only rom I use on my phone.. You have the ability on install to choose the amount of bloat u want and it's super customizable....... as for the international roms be mindful they don't have wifi calling

Look up teshxx in the development section he has stock samsung roms. Keep scrolling the different roms til you find the latest updated one, cause he have quite a few posted. If you ever want to try a custom rom, try Jedi x14 by ptmr3 which is great.

Hi deeznutz1977 thanks for your help.
From what I could read, a ROM is something you put on top of the firmware.
Is there anyway to put a Samsung firmware from scratch without those T-Mobile brand on the SGH-T889?
So it would be a brand new firmware, no ROMS or t-mobile apps.
Thanks for you help and patience.
