Dramatic Difference In Screen Quality (PIC Added)

I just received my replacement t989 from TMobile, and realized my original phone's screen quality was horrible! I powered them on side by side, and my new phone looks clear as day with bold colors, and my original phone looks distorted and VERY yellow! I will post pictures after work. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes. Also got a replacement recently and I can attest the screens have gotten better on the newer-made phones.

Updated OP with a picture I took of them side by side. You can clearly tell which one is which.

Same here, my previous t989 screen was crappy and the moment I turned on my replacement phone I noticed a huge difference with the screen quality, felt like I am using a whole new phone.

They send you a replacement... once you get it you send the old phone back...

I haven't got a replacement for my s2 but I've received for other phones from TMobile...i was just answering you...and yes they are refurbished...
But I'd like to know how long they had their s2's before they got the refurbs...maybe the screen degrades really fast...

So do you think this super amoled screen goes bad quickly or do you think the refurb really has a better screen? Because I'll warrantee right now...

You should be able to warranty exchange tour phone up to a year from the purchase date

I think the replacement just has a better screen. I don't see them degrading to that extent, especially in this short of time.
If you have insurance T-Mobile discounts the exchange to only $5 and you get free overnight shipping.

I have insurance but i thought it was free to exchange under warrantee...
see the only problem is i can't compare cause i only have one so i don't know if my screen is that dingy...

It was free, but they changed it to $5. It's worth it though since they added overnight shipping.

I am but issue on battery not lasting me at all under 3 hours and it's not the first charge I bought of a good friend of mine on here and it's been lasting her a lot

So where is the cheapest to upgrade?

My girlfriend hates my galaxy... but I love it! The only thing I can't stand is swype not as accurate as it used to be..its still far quicker than some methods but at times its a but if a nuisance

If it battery is not lasting three hours there's something wrong. Mine lasts all day with heavy use

Before I got it my friend had it and she sold it to me and been working good for her but she did update it to lg2 stock rooted rom and sent it but I just update it to lg8 and still rooted and custom recovery

I had them both all this about the internals is irrelevant. Both are good phones. Its just personal preference. Personally I take hardware over software any day.

I'm sure there are about a hundred other threads saying the exact same thing.

JB is amazing so far.. way faster, home button works much quicker even with s voice linked to it, love the next notification menu, and all of that.. even made our benchmark much much higher

JB is nice. It would also be nice if people started removing the sigs from Tapatalk :/

I agree im so happy all around. 1st of all this phone was flat out amazing out the box. I love the way this phone was marketed...all of the support and it seems like every accessory company is making things for this phone. This update was like getting a late christmas gift from your aunt in the mail lol.

They are for $49.99 in Best Buy now plus around $20 for unlock. I say $100 will be good price on Black Friday..

I will look around on ebay and see what prices are there. If you want to quick sell just lower price $50 or so and you get your fare price.

Who could tell.... No matter how long it's on the charger for, it still won't work longer then 5 minutes...
HTC = Have To Charge

It looks like the S4 will be using an exynos CPU so that means no support on xda. Qualcomm would have been a better choice for S4.
