Think these are just as good as the Official Samsung 2000mah ones? I was also wondering if they were any bigger than the stock one if anyone has these.
It'll fit without another battery cover, you'll just lose NFC.
Why though? Isn't the NFC card above the battery?

The NFC Antenna is in the actual battery. That's how they fit the extra power into the same size of the stock battery, they take out the NFC antenna and make the actual capacity bigger.

Can someone tell me where exactly is the NFC chip located in the s3 and also why is NFC written on the battery? I have read somewhere that NFC is located in the battery but is that possible?
Thanks
The NFC antennae are located on the back of the battery.

The NFC capabilities of the phone are in the battery. This is why if you are looking to buy batteries online for the SIII you will see some of them have NFC and some don't.
Just out of curiosity, why ask?

I was planning to buy a replacement battery so wanted to confirm it once. So you tell me that if the battery is replaced with a normal battery, NFC wont work right?
Also one more thing, how does data transfer happen thru the battery?

Magic, obviously.... or there could be wires that connect to the phone.

there are extra contacts for it. there is also a foil antenna under the cover of the battery much like what is inside of an nfc tag
I replacijg the back cover of Note2 and suddenly realised that the NFC tags are no more working. I located the NFC chip at the back of the original COVER. I then opened my S3 and there was nothing a NFC chip located in the back cover of this phone. Is it really through the battery? Why NOTE 2 misses out on this feature?

I think it is we who are missing out on the feature. I'd much prefer the nfc chip in the back cover rather than the battery. Nfc enabled batteries are really expensive.

Be carefull with other then original battery covers. I bought an aluminium one from ebay and the nfc signal wont get through it
Does anyone know if there is a slim version of an extended battery? I have the onite 4300mah extended battery and it last all day, but I don't like the fact that it's a lot heavier than the phone with the stock battery. I don't need that much power. Just something to get me an hour or two more out of my phone. Something a little higher than the 2100mah. Any thoughts? Also if this post already exist, please delete this one, I apologize if there is one I was unable to locate it.

Hm. im afraid not... You could always underclock your phone or root... but i seriously am blanking out i honestly think there is no "slim" version of the extended battery.
Well I mean instead of me having a 2100 mah is there somethin little higher capacity or does someone know of a website that sells extended battery doors. I have the onite extended battery and I might just stick with that but the back door broke for the phone and I don't know of anyone who sells a pebble blue extended battery cover.

You can find a bunch on eBay. They even have 3000mah from china. I just bought 2 2800 from USA for like $15 they are the same physical size as stock battery. Just search i747 battery on eBay.
Are they NFC enabled like the stock battery is ?
Remember that on the GS3, NFC is built into the battery itself, not onto the phone.
Of course, if you don't need it...
i recently received my 2300 mAh Onite with NFC from Amazon.
so far, it's providing me with just a few more hours. which is all i needed anyways, and keeping the same battery cover.
i also have a CellularFactory 4500 mAh with NFC that provides me with 2 days of battery that i use when traveling.

With the slim battery, how long is your screen time? I think with stock I can hit about 3 hours before I have to charge the phone.

I am going to get the att note 2 and want to know if there's a NFC chip in the phone or the battery. With the Galaxy nexus you had to use OEM batteries for NFC to work since NFC was built in the battery. I want to by backup batteries and found ones on Amazon from anker and Hyperion that say NFC compatible .I am assuming the chip is in the phone itself since the flip cases have contact points in the back cover plate.

The chip is in the phone, the antenna is in the cover.

Anker 2200mah. You won't notice any improvement though. To do that you will have to go up a size.

It has been a while since the GS3 was released now, surely the same size battery size can go up to 2400 to 2500 now.

Mugen Power 2300 mAh Slim Extended Battery <--- this is the exact answer you are looking for. Provides an additional 10% or so of usage to your phone without bulking up the size. At 40$~ ish it is slightly expensive, but it is the best solution for those looking for a better battery without bulking =)
just got a 2900 mah battery from ebay
Does it still fit with the stock back and is it from china?

Sorry to let you know but you just got ripped off. I bought a "2600" and a "2900" maH battery from eBay as well in the past, only to find out that they last me around 8 hours with about 1 hour and 30 minutes of screen on time - the true mAh in these batteries is around 1400-1700, if I had to take a guess. You can peel off the sticker on the 2900 battery you ordered and it will probably say the true capacity of the battery imprinted onto it. As I said in one of my earlier posts, the only "real" slim extended batteries are the mugen 2300, anker 2200, and hyperion 2200, in which the mugen comes out on top from personal experience =)

FTFY.
There is no way you believe that a random Chinese company making deals on eBay has somehow figured out a magical unicorn battery technology that allows them, not only to completely outdo Samsung in capacity, but also undercut them in price.

Just wait for the official 3000mah Samsung battery. only slightly thicker.
Hey does anyone know a good slim extended battery for the s4 that wont make it bulky? And also how do u tell if your battery isnt good anymore thanks
Also interested in this. You can usually see the phones battery percent via the settings in the phone. I get about to about 50% after a 8 hour work day, only using my phone on breaks via wifi. But to test it, no idea.

Check to see if the battery has any bulge/swelling on it. If it's not charging correctly like long charge time, check the charger too.

According to the listing on eBay the 3000 mAH model does not have nfc. But to the OP just go on eBay type galaxy s4 3000mAH battery nfc you'll get some results.
