Freeze while using youtube or any other media player - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hi y'all , so finally let go of my htc one s for the s3 and I just recently rooted it.
Im using the stock rom still but I keep having this weird issue that everytime on any video I play on any media player, in fullscreen, would freeze once the HUD would go away. But it will continue to play perfectly once I tap it , but back frozen again when the hud goes away...
Any help ?
I searched and can't find anything.
Thanks.

Hmmmm sounds like a dozzzy, have you tried clearing data/cache on the youtube app?
Ok I just saw it was more then YouTube .
Are you familiar with backing up you're rom then flashing a new rom?
Or just save everything and try a factory reset.. hope this helps

Can't play videos at all anymore.. Help!

I installed the IncRom v.1 and I can't play any videos anymore. I haven't done anything different other than put this rom on here. And I also tried to change the kernel but it says installation aborted (bad)... I installed Incrom using rom manager. I used to have Cyanogenmod 6.1 (stable) no issues that I know of with that but I really like Incrom its very fast and I love the way it looks. Can someone help with my videos. And the only videos I can get to play are the ones that I record, but I never used to have a problem with my videos not playing before.....

I also enjoy incrom, I never had problems with vids..like youtube or what videos specifically? when it says "bad" like that it means it was corrupted when downloading, try downloading it again..i would suggest chads kernels

Long ago confirmed that Google flicks won't play on rooted devices. As to possible workarounds, sorry, IDK.

Hey TDC I was running the latest rooted ICS leak. ch1 I think. I was on the somewhat modded leak ch1 when I was having an issue. And I am now on the JB TWiz port and the transformers is playing/streaming fine for me.. I would suggest a wipe and retry and if you restore apps try just restoring the app and not app + data

I have problems with YouTube app and browsers

Hello all,
I just got my nexus 7 2013 yesterday! But if I update the newest version of YouTube, it will restart.
If I use any browser Chorme, Aosp, firefox , etc o play video clips from YouTube, or any video pages, it restarts.
I used to have problem with the camera also, but it was fixed with the new update! Has anyone experienced the same problems? And any suggestion to solve? Thank you

Okay clear app data and uninstall updates. See if you can play videos in browser then; if you can, update the app again

This is what I did:
Uninstalled New Youtube app, go back to old YouTube, and it works fine.
Deleted the old youtube and install the new one from play store => restart like crazy
Try to turn on "Force GPU 2D rendering", browsers could go a bit longer than 30 secs before restarting
Every browser has that problem.....
Camera, turned on, and restart, but in the newest firmware with the Q, it was fixed.
Apps like Vevo works normally.
Install Plants VS Zombies 2, restart every now and then

You could always try and go for a complete wipe and flash the Google stock image. I'm pretty sure that it'll be fixed then.

Can I flash stock image through CWM or TRWP?
I think nothing works until now! I bought this in the US, but I came back to Australia already! Cannot return since it is not officially sold in here!
I started thinking about the hardware problems
Hope no one will get bad experience from Google and Asus like me! What a waste of money!
Can only use it to surf web and something like that, multimedia functions are dead!
Anyway! I did a bad choice!

I've got very similar issues, any programs incorporating video randomly lock up and reboot the tablet. I've uninstalled the latest YouTube app and stopped it auto updating which seem to have stabilized that but stuff like Skype still lock up.
Brought mine back from the US to the UK and I'm going to try Asus support see what they say, otherwise I'll have to try rooting and maybe a custom rom in time.
Don't bother to root it! Just bring to Asus since it is official launced there! I rooted, tried a number of different roms, but still the same.
New error for me, flickering screen......

Error message : Unfortunately video player stopped.

Hi all, I've not yet rooted my mobile. My device built in player started displaying the above error message. I've restored application preference, cleared cache memory, set to default. Restarted device taking my battery. ... But it didn't helped me.
I can play the videos through gallery using the same default built in Samsung video player. But when I access video player the problem exists.
My phone screen goes white for 2 secs, then I get "unfortunately video player stopped.
Why there is a problem in the stock rom application. How can I fix this.
