I've noticed that whenever i flash a new Jelly Bean or ICS ROM they start off very stable and fast, but after a couple months i start to encounter problems like random restarts and just general lag. Is there anyway to fix this without reflashing? Would clearing cache/dalvik help anything? BTW im running this Paranoid Android ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859541 and im using M2SD
I have noticed that too. I'm on XenonHD.

Stable JB rom.
Hello,
I've noticed the same problem.
I got this fixed, by downloading the most stable Jelly Bean Rom ATM.

I believe jellybean won't install unless recoveries match... that's one of the things that TC has said

I saw a thread that only TW based roms are the one that can be ported and aosp have to do some tweaks on them to make it work on the t989.
I recently updated to a 4.2.1 rom the latest jelly belly, and I can't get NBA game time anymore. Does anyone know if its a rom issue? Or a 4.2.1 issue?
Any tricks to get it to work ? Or an apk to side load thanks in advance

You mean Jelly Bean
I just downloaded and installed it to check and it is working fine. I am running my own compiled AOSP ROM from source with Trinity kernel alpha 7.
It will really help you if you mention the exact ROM you are running and kernel so others can help you bettER

Oh I missed that Jelly Belly is a ROM! Sorry my mistake
I am using an unlocked GSM Gnex without any specific carrier
Why don't you ask about this app in the Jelly Belly ROM thread so others using the same ROM can help you bettER I guess because it does not seem a 4.2.1 issue at all???
If you restored the app using Titanium Backup, then sometimes uninstalling it and re-installing it directly from the Play Store helps
Hi!
Actually I've a android revolution 7.0.4 with android 2.3.5 and sense 3.5 but now is too slow (and freeze often..)
So, what I can do? It's better find and upgrade a rom with 4.x android or it's too heavy for my phone?
You should surely give 4.x a try. If you can go without Bluetooth, try synergye's CodefireX 4.2 builds. And if you want Bluetooth, go for Randomblame's JellyTime 4.1.2

yes, synergyes 4.2 builds are the best for stock android. if you want 4.0.4 and sense 4.1 try sabsa prime. have fun
but 4.2 is not too heavy for my oldphone?
it's very slow with 2.3

Sense ROMs are known to be laggy
Dude, just try it, I can bet you would wanna kiss the developer after flashing

I also recommend you try out a 4.x Rom. In my opinion, Jellytime R29 is the most stable 4.x Rom currently.
You should also try codefirex 4.1 jellybean periodicals. Ive tried every rom on this forum, this has been the most stable for me. For sense I would suggest Blackout ics incredible. Smooth as butter.
Hey I really would like to flash a custom rom that is as similar as possible to an android stock rom. Are there any other roms except slim bean?
Pabx's 4.2.1 ROM is pretty close to stock, as well as other AOSP builds.
AOKP and CM10 are based on stock Android but slightly tweaked.

Are any of these stable ?
I have tried CM10 but my phone would run really hot and had lots of reboots, no overclocking and using stock kernel.
I would be greatfull if someone could point me in the direction of a Non HTC based rom that does not turn my phone into a toaster.
All of them are stable, you probably did something wrong when installing the ROM.
If I'd have to recommend something: IceColdJelly 4.2.1 by LorD ClockaN is really stable according to my experience.

Thanks.
I have just flashed that ROM so fingers crossed.
You can also try trip's CM10 endeavor unleashed.:good:
Hello Guys,
1. Does it possible to flash ICS instead of Jelly beans? I've recently flashed a jelly beans ROM and I would like to flash a ICS based ROM instead because the Jell beans ROMS as far as I've seen doesn't have Htc Sense yet.
2. what is the most popular ICS ROM with sense?
3. also, my wifi isn't working, I can't turn it on. full wipe & restarting the phone didn't help (that's why I've flashed the jelly beans ROM, I thought it would fix it), any ideas what can I do?
Regards, Ofir
1. Yes of course, flash any ICS ROM the same way you flashed JB.
2. For features and Sense 4, it's ViperDHD.
Other Sense 4 stable ROM is Sabsa Prime and for Sense 3.6, Blackout ICS XL.
3. Is your battery cover cracked by any chance? That's also the WiFi antenna. Also, what radio are you using? Check in Settings-About-Baseband version.
