CM10 wallpaper folder? - HTC One V

First off i think CM10 has done a very good job with the wallpapaers but i still like my own custom wallpapers and i would like to move my .png wallpaper onto the CM10 wallpaer folder so that whenever i want to chage my wallppaer there all in one folder. So yeah wheres that folder?

Just make a map on your SD card. Put your wallpapers in there. Then press the 'menu' button on your home screen and choose 'wallpaper' (or something similar). Then browse with the gallery and your wallpaper map will be in there.
You can also browse directly in the gallery and long press on a picture.
Good luck!

[Q] Wallpapers from one ROM to another

Hi,
I was using one ROM for a while, and just switched. I want to take the wallpaper with me though. But I can't figure out how to do it. I copied the images to the system\customize\resource folder, but when I go to HTC wallpapers, I do not see it. Any hints?
Thanks
You can just take the image and search for it on gallery then set it from there.

Ok. I see the picture. Gallery isn't the funnest way to find it. But when I select it, it makes me select a region of the picture to display. On the old ROM, it was just a wallpaper. I didnt' have to select a region, and the entire image displayed.

[Q] ICS Gallery

Several ics revs back I could open the gallery app and it would only show folders with picture files in them. I also had the option to hide folders. Now when I open gallery, it goes and if a folder has any apk's in them it will display the icon picture as well. Well I have a folder with my apk's backed up so it is showing a bunch of icons in addition to my own picture folder. I cannot hide them either. Does this happen to anybody else? I do have the option to delete them. If I delete them, will it just remove them from the album and not delete the actual file?
Do u have an app backup apk downloaded?

You can put a "." In front of the folder name , no "'s to hide that folder, I know thats not the answer you wanted, but hope it helps.

[Q] how to copy static wallpapers

I found some cool wallpapers. How can I copy these wallpaer to my Galaxy Nexus? What is the location of wallpapers and is there any special method of transfer? I will appreciate your help.
Just put them on your phone somewhere using USB then open them in the gallery and use the menu to set them as wallpaper.

Thanks fro your advice but the problem is that you have to crop the image when you try use any image from gallery. I was looking for the path or location of wallpapers on the phone so that I just copy jpeg files.
I downloaed new galaxy s3 wallpapers and wanted to use them.
I think if you download "QuickPic" from the market...
Long press your homescreen and select wallpaper>quickpic you can drag the sliders to the full image.
Jubakuba, thanks. Quickpic did the job.

The "cropping" in the Gallery doesn't actually downsize it if you go to the full size, it just shows what you'll actually see when taking away the top/bottom bars.

Nova Launcher Icon Problems.

Trying help my friend set up his One X with Nova Launcher. However, when we go to change icons, they don't have transparent backgrounds. Although they are saved as transparent .gif and .png formats.
Works fine on my GS3. Wondering if there is a trick with the One X ??

[Q] a few questions new andriod user her please HELP ME

hello guys, i did own a iphone but had so many problems so sold it and bought the htc one x while i love it and me being a first time android user i have a few questions please needing answered...ok here we go
1, the home screen wallpaper what size do i need to make one for just to have the middle home screen? so it will stay static across all homescreen's without scroll? what dimension's?
2, how do install ringtones, music , pictures as i'm on a macbook, can i just plug it into the usb to computer and drag and drop?
3, can i alter my default icons to different ones like the phone , sms icons etc...to custom ones i'm running stock everything as its brand new out the box yesterday and would like to keep it that way if possible...? is it possible?
4, how do i delete app's off the phone i no longer want?
5, i saw a app UCCW custom clock maker how can i install one's from here people have posted zip file for where do the files go? and can i use them running stock firmware etc out of the box?
1. 1280x720...someone please correct me if I'm wrong
2. I usually connect my phone and then open my phone's drive and extract my music files into the "dcim" folder. However you can also just use a program like windows media player or winamp or whatever else program and it should do the transferring part for you. Same with images, I put them in the dcim folder.
If you want to set a song or tune as your ring tone simply open your music app, touch and hold the song/tune you'd like to usw until an option menu extends. Option should be there, simply follow it
3. Yes, you can. However changing icons might only seem possible without rooting your phone if you use an external launcher. Try searching for "go launcher" in the play store. Or use "nova launcher".. note that you won't be able to use sense widgets on external launchers.

4. Open your app drawer, click and touch an app you would like to uninstall. The.background will turn to your home screen and the top right corner should be highlighted "uninstall". Simply drag your all over.
5. That is something someone else would have to answer, but they would be doing me a favor as well, haha! Good luck with your one x. Welcome on board
shadehh has replied most of your questions but I could add in .
4 . You can go to Setting > Apps and click on the apps you want to uninstall too . You can also download Easy Uninstaller from Play Store to have a more easy uninstalling experience .
5 . In android , we use a file type ".apk" to install stuff such as Window's ".exe" to install stuff and so on . So maybe the zip file of the app you mentioned consist the apk file in the zip and yes you can use them running stock firmware etc out of the box .
You can create a folder called "Ringtones" on the root directory of your sdcard and put whatever mp3 you want to use as your ringtone in it. This mp3 can then be selected from settings -> personalize -> sound -> ringtones.
The same goes for alarms and notifications. Just create folders called "Alarms" and "Notifications" on the root directory of your sdcard and they will be selectable in the personalization settings.
