Removing Softkeys (4.2)

Just upgraded to (GSM) 4.2 The only thing I need to do is remove the softkeys as I use a fully gestured system to navigate. Is this possible on stock rom? Or will I have to wait?
PS: I searched and found nothing.

It kind of looks it's not worth the hassle, compared to the ease of use of the navbar. It would be more handy if one could make it half the height. I know it's possible through customs roms, etc, just not for stock. They should implement it, just as in Windows P:
Excellent! Works great on 4.2. Thank you young feller.

GMD GestureControl - Root on PlayStore

[build.prop tweak] softkeys enabled

To all those who want softkeys enabled at their rom if they don't have that option you can edit build.prop ( it must work with most jelly bean and ics roms)
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Reboot
Softkeys enabled
works great. Thanks

I'm using purelook hd rom and it has xperia engine in it. Can't get the soft keys on it. Need help as I can't survive without these.
LMT
hi, as an alternative to standard softkeys, you could use the app LMT (requires root)
it supports gestures, expanded desktops and Pie Softkeys with long press function as in Paranoid rom and some more nice features
Could be interesting for some

Is there a way to customize the "Recent" soft key to "Menu"? When I added the script while using the CM10 rom, I could change them around in the navigation settings. I recently switched back to the stock JB version, but added soft keys because my hardkeys stopped working after I dropped it in a spa
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Cheers!

Nope u can't edit it with this mod... For doing this u have to edit other files
Is there any way to make the Soft Keys smaller.. (at least 50% smaller than its original size/height)... its because my phone (the Galaxy S Advance) has a resolution of only 480x800.... I just feel like there is not enough space on my screen to be honest, that's why I'm asking this....
(Post Added)
- I can't take Screenshots anymore, using my Home + Power Button
- My dialer app is getting covered with the Soft keys.. so I can't call anyone because I can't tap on the call button

Well if you are on Cyanogen or any other rom based on it, you can enable soft keys or just like @geniusboy93 suggested you can use pie controls. Go to themes and apps section and look for pie controls.
Good luck.

How do i get this pie controller? On the Themes or the Apps section, on Settings, there is nothing about that. I'm using the MonsterRom, based com CM 10.1. This soft key could help to? How do i find it?
Thank you both for the help.

okay what softkeys you want? navigation bar or pie control? i would suggest you navigation bar because it's easier to use.
Just tell me which version you're using. I can do it for you personally if you want

Missing pie? Coolace has us covered!

I for one rely on pie controls on this line of phones. Pie makes this big screen much easier to operate one handed.
Well the guys at coolace have implemented 4.4.4 functionality into their app so until we can get xposed running on here we have am alternative.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jun.ace.piecontrol
I normally use pie, although if you just want something more simple check out the side key panel in quick settings.

Just install LMT. Its way better than pie.

Back and Home button need root access to work. Also if you configured any certain apps it won't work. Reset your pie configuration, be sure root is granted and start from scratch to configure your buttons

I'll stick with pie until the root issue is figured out.
LMT works beautifully with the note 4. Just install the apk.
I use s combination of the built in side button launcher and lmt launcher. I use lmt mostly to enable data, WiFi, GPS and such. Does the back button work on lmt launcher for you guys?

Yes LMT 2.2 apk does work without root on our notes. Just set the phone options to #8
Get the apk here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
Ok so root is necessary, that sucks

Just a few things you need to do.
1. Set Gesture Input to #8 (Samsung)
2. Clear Blacklist options in (Gestures, Pie)
For some reason LMT will blacklist some apps like in pie I use center for phone dialer but if you don't clear blacklist it hides dialer for example.
Went to the links provided, did not see links to download the apk file. ..any help greatly appreciated.
