I am having an at&t version of samsung galaxy s3 updated to JellyBean stock.
The phone is having just the very basic apps installed, skype, whatsapp, viber, facebook.
Its justa month only. Recently whatsapp was causing issues, when i started it, phone got stuck on black screen. at this point i can pull down notification bar, but as soon as i pull it down that also get stuck. I got it uninstalled somehow and reinstalled and it was fine.
Again now when i start skype it was getting stuck, every single time. Again i uninstalled it and restarted its fine now.
Can we find out why this was getting stuck ?

Most likely some bad or corrupted data. By uninstalling, you cleared that data and it fixed it. You can also go in manage application and do it manually if you don't wanna have to uninstall everytime something like that happens.

On my G2, I've noticed that previously perfectly working apps will suddenly stop working, giving me a force close error whenever I try to launch them after being installed for a period of time. The only way I've been able to fix it is by uninstalling and then reinstalling the application.
Has this occurred to anyone else? And what should I do to fix this problem?
yes, i had this problem a few days ago...i did a factory reset and everything works fine as of now.
are there any solutions that don't require a wipe?
i had to wipe, and i lost all my mileage records i had entered into the mileage app, and my text messages before i backed them up...
its not too bad when its 2 weeks worth of information... but if this is going to occur often, its not going to be pretty
The two times that happened to me a simple power off/power on worked and they stopped Force Closing. I'm taking it that it didn't work in your situation and the uninstall/reinstall was the only fix?
yea i tried rebooting it several times, but after my latest wipe, nothing bad has happened...
still an issue that should be raised if its been replicated more than once
Ive had this problem with the stock browser and twitter, rebooting seemed to fix it.
Ah, one of those times where fix_permissions would be nice.
I've had to uninstall and re-install several of my apps because they've been force closing.

I've had this happen and it was acting really weird before it did it. It did like a vicious reboot and just about any app other than stock got a force close upon opening. It's gotta be software issues, god I hate stock roms. Damn TMobile and trying to restricting our joy of root.

This is starting to happen to me on my G2 as well now. I have uninstalled the Apps I could (except the preinstalled ones) and still they are force closing on me. I also have Factory Reset the phone several times and it still is happening. I have already exchanged my G2 once at Walmart for a flickering screen but im pretty sure the 14 days are up now with them. At this point I'm sure I have to call Tmobile.
Anyone have any ideas before I call T-Mobile?
I'm not rooted at all just plain stock.
Thanks
Anyone experiencing Whatsapp not working well in 1.6.24-MIUI-XJ?
I always get "Application Whatsapp is not responding" when I try to open or send messages. But if you click Wait a few times, it will manage to move on.
The whole experience is really really slow and laggy.
I have tried giving full permission in the Superuser, disable the superuser permission management but the problem is still there.
Any solutions?
i am getting this too. did u manage to fix it?
I'm having the same problem, it's extremely slow and laggy. Constantly getting the warning whatsapp isn't responding, asking if i want to force close it or wait for respond. I always click on wait and after a half minute it moves on.
after a half hour doing this, whatsapp runs smooth... but its really annoying

make sure your internet connecting is fine.
you can also try flashing the latest MIUI-XJ rom.
re-installed whatsapp completely (remove data, remove app, clean cache, remove map from SD), even did a full wipe of the ROM. but doesn't solve a thing....
my internet connection is fine, other apps which need internet works fine.
So does anyone have any suggestions?
Got that same on 1.12.2 (long waits, "wait more", no push messages).
after reading the MIUI Thread about the whatsapp problems, it seems the most people with MIUI X-part have the problem.
Also when installed whatsapp, I got the warning that custom ROMS are not supported by whatsapp.
I didn't got this warning when i was on the GingerVillian ROM
So is it MIUI X-part? is it the SD card that gives the problem?

Will try this weekend another SD card and start from scratch, see if it works!
odd.... I was about to try a new SD card but then suddenly, my phone was running whatsapp very smooth.
What did I do? Basicly nothing.. I only stopped using the app UberMusic (still installed on my phone though).
Instead of lagging whatsapp, my entire phone becomes laggy when listening to music and receiving a whatsapp message (happens sometimes, not all the time). My phone doesnt respond to anything, music is played in slow motion. After 5 minutes it recovers it self or goes into a reboot.
at least Whatsapp isn't lagging anymore :')
Alright so I got my T-Mobile Galaxy s4 a while ago, and a few days ago I noticed that my FaceBook notifications weren't working, and was quick to assume that it was the app itself since this happened on my S3 as well. A few hours later I noticed that my other apps weren't updating, such as my Gmail, textplus, instagram, google plus, etc. I dove into this and went ahead and tried to force stop my google play services, but instead updated it and at that moment ALL my apps started updating and giving me notifications. However this will only last a few hours for me, until the apps don't update. I have found that restarting the phone helps, but well, I can't be restarting my phone every hour just to get notifications. Is there anyone that can help me with this? P.S. I have sync and notifications on all my apps. Thanks in advance and Happy Fourth of July!
Hi, so I recently bought a Note 2 from Swappa, the seller had rooted it and Installed the JEDI X2 rom on it. after I recieved it I installed Xposed and all of its modules I like(CrappaLinks, DisableFlagSecure, Enable Camera on lockscreen, Force fast scroll, No Increasing Ringtone, NoSafeVolumeWarning, Notification Mod, Play Store link in app info, XGPM, Youtube AdAway). After that I installed all of my apps from the play store, got a wallpaper, ETC. A few days later I received my 9300Mah battery.
2 Days after receiving the battery my phone randomly started crashing and going to the "Samsung GALAXY Note II" screen, and proceeding to boot up just normal. Then do it again in a couple minutes.
I decided that maybe one of my weird apps might be doing it, so I uninstalled all of my weird apps, Still crashed. Next I looked online for a few hours and no one else has had an issue like this, They all have the issue of it wont boot.
Anyone have any suggestions? If not I will be flashing a different ROM on it to see if that does anything.
If you have any questions please ask, I will be checking on this post...
P.S. all of the apps i have downloaded on the Note 2 were on my old S3 and I never had issues with my S3(S3 was rooted with different Custom ROM)

Have you tried the original battery again? Maybe the 9300 is bad.
Delete your cache and dalvik, the boot up with the new battery. If you can, charge the battery to 100 percent, then use battery calibration so the phone will recognize the new battery type

My wife and I both have OP3 and this morning we are seeing the same issue of apps installing but unable to open. Just get the app splash screen and then it closes again. Tried on a number of apps and even using data or WiFi. Still does the same.
We both updated to 3.2.2 the other day and that is the only thing I can think that has changed.
Any ideas?
