[Q] obb file location - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

i tried going back to stock earlier. i backed up all the contents of my sdcard to my pc using adb pull. i have successfully returned to stock and as i was trying to restore my sdcard, i can't seem to find the right place to put the obb files of my games. where exactly do i have to put it? /sdcard/Android/obb or /data/media/obb or somewhere else? i tried putting it to those two but some games like asphalt won't load i can't afford to download the game right now for out internet connection nowadays is ****ty.

[Q] Is there a way to save Zenonia 2 file's within the SD card???

Due to constantly flashing new Roms.. I'm always having to restart from the beginning.. Very frustrating!! I just want to know if there's a way to save my progress in the SD card...
If the game is on your sdcard, move it to the phone. Then look in: /data/data/ and locate the folder for the game. There should be a folder called shared_prefs with xml files that store the game data. They also may be stored in a db which you would also want to back up.
A simpler solution may be to download titanium backup to save the game data, available on the market.
Never played the game so this is an educated guess.
.. I just downloaded the game and it looks like the files you want to backup are in:
/data/data/com.gamevil.zenodia2/files
I would copy the save.dat files along with the other files in there
does titanium backup not save your game? saves mine

Help extracting files from a NAND back up

Hey, guys. I dropped my phone recently and got a new one from Asurion and I am trying to extract my game save files from Gun Bros because my back-up with Titanium restored me to level 12 and I was almost at level 40 before I got my new phone. I know.....I'm a f*cking nerd.
Anyway, here's where I'm at:
I downloaded unyaffs and the cygwin1.dll and was was able to successfully extract the data.img contents into the desired folder on my computer. Upon navigating through the data folder, I find two folders titled com.glu.android.gunbros_free and com.glu.android.skob2_free both of which contain a folder inside of it called "app_save" that has a number files.
I thought it would be as easy as finding the same folders on my phone and simply replacing the contents with the files I just pulled from my NAND. However, when I navigate to the data folder in my phone, I can't find these file names. I tried searching for them using control-F by typing the name of the file and searching the the entire SD card, but it turned up empty.
I'm sure I am missing a step here somewhere. Can any of you advanced users point me in the right direction? Sorry if my question is missing info, but honestly, I don't know wtf I'm doing. I'm trying to make something out of nothing here.
I REALLY don't want to start over in the game. lol Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I'm using these as guides:
http://www.htcblaze.com/how-to-extractingaccessing-nandroid-backup-img-files/
http://dus.org.pl/forum/t-219620/recovering-data-from-nandroid-backup
In the second link, the last step says:
- you can list content of this database using sqlite3 command line tool or presumably (haven't tried it myself and it may depend on what application data you are recovering) copy it back to your Android device running current ROM (rooted phone may be needed).
However, I can't get that command to work. I'm not sure if that helps any, but I thought I'd throw it out there to offer more info.
Oh, I thought of something I wanted to add in case it will be easier. The phone that created the NAND I am trying to pull the files from is still available to me with the game at the stage that I left it in. Maybe I should try replacing the game files on my phone with the ones from that phone?
In theory, it sounds easier than what I'm trying to do here, but does anyone know if that will work?
bumpity-bump.....
Anyone?

The apps on my phone does not recognize the OBB folders

I am currently running Android AOKP 4.2.2 and I noticed, anytime I save a folder which has an .OBB file, the game doesn't recognize it. Another issue I was having and I thought I was going crazy but I guess it's an issue with the Phone/ROM, is that after certain time, the folder itself would disappear and the game would still be installed.
I downloaded Crazy Taxi and Monopoly Millionaire and neither of the games recognizes the OBB folder in my SD card.
Current location: Internal Storage\Android\Obb\GAME FOLDER WITH OBB
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Are these games that you got legitimately? Because if these are games you pirated, we can't help you.

[Q] How do i access files from Root Explorer on my Laptop?

Hey everyone @crpalmer tagged you in case you could help
I am running Jrummy's Root explorer on the phone searching for some pictures on Dropbox.
I FINALLY found them in the /Mnt/sdcard/Android/data/... but i can't figure out where to copy and paste these imgs to so that my computer can 'see' them.
When i plug the tablet into the computer all that comes up is Internal Storage with 9 GB available and inside that i have only bare files like Alarms Android etc. But NONE of the folders have any of the phones files.
Basically i can't see anything on my tablet through my computer.
I tried pasting the file on System/root but the computer still doesn't show it!
Regards
Silkmeister1
UPDATE: i managed to stick a TINY 1 mb sd i had laying around and that changes things to where my i could copy things to the sd card and the computer sees that, but now the issue is the .jpg won't open correctly as they are too large or corrupted
wondering if this is a permissions issue

[Q] [Help] Cannot move files into obb

As title says, i try to move files to my android/obb folder which its on internal sdcard (a partition of the internal memory and emulates sdcard.) via pc, and even through phone, via pc i get operation couldn't be completed when its almost finishing, and via phone same. Any solution?
My phone is rooted and depuration mode on.
Bump.
What's depuration mode ?
If a file doesn't get completely copied via PC, it may be in the root of your sdcard or in LOST.DIR.
Dupuration. Debugging. And nope. Im trying to move ex. Data of fifa 14 to get it full but i cant due to when the copy is ending it says device is not answering or bla bla. Same on all files i try to get into obb. I must say that the only problem is obb. I can move into others folders withouth problem.

Click to collapse
I had the same problem with the same game. What a coincidence [emoji28]
Anyway, I recommend transferring to the root of your internal memory and then manually moving to the obb folder.
