Strange. AVIs (Xvid) play fine on my Nexus through the native Video Player.
Here's a sample file: http://www.multiupload.com/GML7HC3HHM
They dont play native for me but vplayer handles them nicely
Try mxplayer from the play store

Try this player!

https://market.android.com/details?...EsImNvbS5pbmlzb2Z0Lm1lZGlhcGxheWVyLnRyaWFsIl0. is another good choice. i recommend it
from my experience Mx Player works like charm...
Be careful as if the video file is not liked by the phone then the gallery may start miss behaving as it won't be able create a thumbnail.

@slicktrick22
do you mean video steaming doesn't works ?
I use QQPlayer to stream videos inbuilt media player also works but with gesture features and no extra codecs QQPlayer suites me give it a try
Market : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tencent.research.drop&hl=en
some mp4 videos with more resolution doesn't support by stock galaxy app.
just download any other video player like MX VIDEO PLAYER OR MOBO PLAYER
IT WILL SUPPORT ALL VIDEO FORMATS LIKE AVI 3GP FLV MP4 OGG ETC.

This is my first time I purchase music on Google play. How come its not showing up on the s3 music player? Is it strictly just for Google Music Player?
