I wonder, if anyone can go back to original ROM of htc one x?
Can we have it re-locked? And install the original rom?
Anyone help me with the process i should go?

u just can re-lock the phone till now...just have a look in the android dev thread...thers a sticky thread about everything u need to know^^
hello just got a htc one x from a friend its running 4.2.2 ive sim unlocked it can some one point me in right direction of rooting this beauty please and what would be a good rom to use on it as ive noticed the wifi signal on this aint as good as on the sister one s

you have to unlock the bootloader and flash custom recovery and supersu/super user, that's it.

i unlocked bootloader and tried to flash twrp-2.6.3.0 went into recovery and twrp opens but i cant do anything its just froze what did i do wrong

try other custom recovery. i use philz recovery.
Ok can someone please help me in this way! What twrp or cwm should I put on this phone and what supersu I'm running 4.2.2 any links would be greatly appreciated

For me all sense custom roms are stable, just try by yourself which one is suitable for you.

Those are good ROMs..
I dont suggest anything outside sense-based ROMs.. prone to problems
but try them first
hi guys i put on nik project x rebirth now before i put it on i was on 4.2.2 now its gone to 4.1.1 i didnt think you could down grade on firmware also please please can some one explain is a boot img a kernel i really dont understand that bit
Yep, boot.img is a kernel. Kernel is complete by saying it's a boot.img file and it's modules.
You are back on 4.1.1 because it's probably an older custom rom. Try a newer one and read the descriptions well, check carefully if it's a 4.2.2 rom in the OP

Thanks for sharing that. But I think it will be better, build CWM from source. I don't have that much of time to do that. But i'll try when i managed the time. Hope fully it will come soon

Did you manage the device root process and CWM?
I rooted my phone using the shuame link shared above. Download the apk and install it. The language is Chinese but once you open the app you can see a big round button with root written on it. Just click it and wait till it loads. The device gets rooted and king user is installed. I didn't like king user so I got su from the play store. There is an option of installing su to system in the settings. Once installed I deleted king user. Hope this helps u in rooting your phone

I am talking about alternative way/process
srsroot.com also supports the desire 616 according to their tested devices list. Haven't tried it yet though.

Hey there I tried that, but my main board some how got damaged, it didn't went further than startup HTC logo. I had to replace it from care center. Please suggest any other method, and please also suggest some better working rom than the stockish JB Rom.

There is a thread to get all working sense apps but we need to have a kit kat rom.... Try Huawei music player apk it looks great and works perfectly on my 616. Hope we get KitKat or will we ever get KitKat??

I have successfully rooted my Desire 616, Installed CWM 5.5.0.4 via MTK Droid Tools. Installed working Xposed framework and modules after Deodexing the ROM.
Now I am looking for ElementelX custom kernel for this phone. Does anyone have any idea about its availability, as it is not available for this phone on Google.
