Anyone tempted by this phone? Specs are nice and screen size I would love. If it runs on T-Mobile I'm considering it. Anyone else?

Yes very tempted on getting this phone as I feel the note 2 is a great phone. But not something I see myself using for morw than a year. But I do have my concerns with there past dealings with supposed stealing united states citizens information that was stored or access from there phone. So really it looks nice but with a reputation of stealing information and spying on americans im cool. Wait till somethings else comes out.

Not really, I like the screen but it's the same resolution as the Note 2 with a similar processor and none of the features that make the Note stand out.
I'll wait for the Note 3, but I'll only get that if it has the Octocore Exynos or Tegra 4 processors

Do you know how to read? All headlines were referring to the same article and there was no proof of Huawei stealing.

Nice how this thread has degraded.
Unless your some spy or government official then there's nothing important about you for someone in China to spy on, hell there's nothing important for someone in America to spy on.
I recommend not buying in to political bs when looking at technology, cause if they had it their way they'd be the one spying on you....actually....they probably are right now.....BUM BUM BUM!!!

I am a Chinese and probably cannot comprehend English as well as most of you guys. But none of the articles quoted above proved in the court of law that Huawei or ZTE stole anything.

Hello all I just bought a Brown note 2 I noticed that under the battery it says made by Samsung with no manufacturing country.
The second thing is that the s pen when inserted it doesnt fully enter the mobile a 1 mm difference from the bezel. Battery and charger made in vietnam.

It is Original for East countries. Where you bought it? The 1mm - normal.

The amber brown is exclusively made for a Japanese carrier NTT Docomo.
@OP: Look on the NTT Docomo website for info about the phone or have it looked at in a shop.

The 1mm space is normal by design, the space is so that it's easier to place your finger nails and pull the spen out.

Is better to sacrifice 2 hours (to be 100% sure, you get it) in line at release day than a backorder... I really hate pre orders... Totally understand your frustration...

All the stores around me open at 10am. I'll probably get there 10-15 minutes before. Never had a problem getting an Android phone on Day 1... I think the only time I've even seen people line up was when the Galaxy Nexus came out, about 4 other people waiting for Best Buy to open, lol.
Note 3 hasn't really been advertised much yet, most likely just be us xda geeks buying the phone on Day 1.

My store opens at 10 am, I cancelled my pre-order yesterday and I'm hopping in the shower now and heading down there.

i drove past my store while taking my daughter to school . no one was there

Yep, still says back ordered and there is no way I spending $24.99 on overnight shipping to not have it here today when I go 2 miles up the road and pick it up in an hour and a half...
