Just updated to official JellyBean (Polish), although rooted and deoxed.
Now again the original Google calendar (with pinch zoom timeline) is gone.
Does anybody know where to get the AOSP Google calendar.apk and how to install it (I don't want to re-install all gapps as a bulk brute-force effort)?
Also, with 4.0.4 adding AOSP calendar.apk to SAmsung official TW rom resulted in double Calendar alerts: one from S Planner and another from AOSP calendar.apk. Is there a way to solve this?
Thanks for all the help (yes, I've tried searching, but haven't found a solution yet).
EDIT: have tried the following:
1) Attempt to install CalendarGoogle.apk (taken from original JB AOSP apk files thread) from internal sdcard (fails, even if "install from unknown sources" is enabled, result is: "Application not installed))
2. Copy calendargoogle.apk to /system/app/ and reset the permissions to proper state with Root Explorer & reboot & build Dalvik cache (app is nowhere to be accessed).

That's actually almost ICS 4.0 calendar, not the fully functional 4.1 Jelly Bean Calendar ("I had to disable a few new features from Jellybean that don't work on ICS" as the author says).
So close, but not quite the same.
I am running JB after all, not ICS.
Anybody have an idea how to get AOSP Google Calendar (full JB version) to run on TW JB builds?

Here is my custom Google Apps package. It comes in two flavors: Google and AOSP. What's the difference?
The Google flavor flashes stock keyboard, camera and some other stuff so it allows you to use features like Photo Sphere and Gesture Typing. The AOSP flavor will retain your ROM's version of files so you can enjoy modified apps like the CM camera.

Flashing the ROM might be easier since you already have the zip file and no need to download more files.

Hello guys,
It's been a while since Android 4.2 came out and I've yet to see a proper gapps package for it that's hassle-free and has everything working like an official one. So I compiled an (unofficial) one.
Here's a quick overview of what's inside the package:
GalleryGoogle.apk - Fully working Photo Sphere camera, viewing, photo editing and sync
LatinImeGoogle.apk - Keyboard with swipe gestures and dictionary
BrowserGoogle.apk - Not sure how it is different from AOSP but I included it anyways
EmailGoogle.apk
Google Now
Gmail - with pinch-to-zoom and lockscreen widget
Below is a list of what's not included:
Google+
Talkback
YouTube
(You can still install these through the Play Store)
This does not work on 4.1.2 and below. It would create compatibility issues and FCs everywhere. Thanks to demon2112 for the feedback.

Tested on fnv-aosp 4.2 001. Should work with every (deodexed) AOSP JOP40C ROMs out there, maybe even those upcoming CM10.1 builds!

So the thing I enjoy most about slimbean is the "night" setting and the smaller sizes.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but the part that determines the general sizes is the LCD density, and for slim its at 245.
Are there any ROMs that also use the same LCD density (if that is what's causing the small size)?
I'm mainly wondering because it uses its own Gapps package so that it could do this night mode where everything is black.
But I want to use the new gmail and other gapps that just came out more than I want night mode
You don't have to use the SlimBean GApps with the Slim ROMs, but have a look at CarbonROM (has Dark Carbon settings and you can change LCD density).

I use LiquidSmooth (what Carbon is based off of) and used to use their method to change the DPI. But recently, I've discovered the XPosed Per-App DPI settings included in the Rom. With it I can manually adjust the DPI of any program to make it whatever I want. The thing I like about this is that I don't have to mess with the Play Store (no more errors when trying to download apps). That, and some apps don't play well with a modified dpi on our phone.
I can go through and make google calendar 240 dpi and see how it functions, then change it to 190 an see how it works. I change Nova's setting to make the launcher look more like Slim Rom's (the Rom that made me fall in love with switching the DPI). It works really well and is worth a test drive, in my opinion.

I just don't get it ... I have to flash gapps or not ?
Because if I flash gapps, MIUI goes crazy and crashes ... If I didn't flash the gapps I don't have Play Store, and I cannot sync my google contacts ...
How to use this ROM to have Play Store and Contacts (I created a Cloud or whatever account, but that doesn't sync my contacts !) ?

about custom kernel, you must flash the 4.2.2 lib, you can download it from post #1 in trinity kernel thread

Trinity Stable - Booted Up and success
Fancy Kernel - Bootloop, must dirty flash the ROM MIUI again

Description
KitBean is a super-slim ROM based on the latest Google Stock firmware (JWR66Y) for Galaxy Nexus.
This is a rooted stock-based ROM with some additions:
Super Slim: the great part of the Apps contained in the stock ROM have been removed (You can download them from Google Play Store)
FancyKernel: a fast and complete custom kernel that will give new life to your device.
Preconfigured: kernel stuff is configured out-of-the-box. You can always change settings with leantweaks (contained in the ROM too)
KitKat style: KitKat launcher, keyboard, camera and clock
Advanced photo editor: KitKat Photo Editor has been partially ported, there are still some bugs though (See post #2)
Super battery life
Changelog
V 0.1:
Initial version
Slimmed down
KitKat launcher, keyboard and photo editor
LeanTweaks
V 0.1.1 (update):
Added themed dialer by default
Switched to Fancy Kernel r43 (ext) which seems to give a better battery life. You can also install the bigmem version, which gives you 65mb of RAM but breaks 1080p video recording.

It isn't a problem with libraries, but with Keyboard application. Unfortunately, I can't fix it since - at the moment - Apktool is not able to re-build the apk. I could download the source and compile the aosp keyboard (if it has emoji too), but it takes lot of time, and I will do it when I have some spare time.
By the way, if you need the Android 4.4 framework just download the deodexed stock KitKat firmware for Nexus 4. It contains the keyboard too
About the mirror, I'm going out now so I can't upload it...I will create a mirror this evening if it's still necessary

Of course, it's based on the Stock Google Firmware. This rom is intended to be light, fast and with a good battery life. Everything with KitKat flavor. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed

I don't know yet, I fear it would compromise the stability.
So I tried to merge the libs and font files with 4.3 and i actually got several pages in the emoji part but no pictures.
I will try more when I get home.
