Bluetooth issues jellybam - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi I run jellybam rom which has settings from aokp and cm 10. I have a bluetooth issue. Can connect it to the portable speaker I have bit after like 10 seconds the audio quality drops significantly. Get like buzzs and clicks then stops playing for a fraction of a second every like 30 seconds then continues.
Any help would be awesome.
I'm running 5.2 jellybam and worked fine on 4.3.
Jellybean version is 4.2.1

Tried a different kernel thinking of moving to rootbox. Which rootbox version would be advisable. I've read the vanilla rootbox thread still not sure what the difference is. More or less features?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app

I think the Vanilla Rootbox might have more features, i have no experience with the other one but Vanilla Rootbox is a great rom.
Here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083922&page=57
and here's the support thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116781&page=21

Gonna have to search and see if vanilla rootbox has any bluetooth issues. Been reading up and found that all 4.2.1 roms have bluetooth issues
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app

hey did you ever get the issue resolve? I am having a similar if not worse issue. My bluetooth and wifi won;t start. So I had jellybam installed for a while, ver 6.4 I believe, the wifi and bloetooth always worked fine before. Then one night I left it plug in charger. Woke up next day, phone would not turn on at all. Battery would not charge either. I did a battery pull and still battery would not charge and phone would not turn on. I switch to my Anker battery, then it would charge and eventually turn on. Switched to my OEM battery, it started charging again. Phone turn on fine. Later the day noticed my wifi and bluetooth would not turn on, it would just hang with message "bluetooth turning on".
I tried to installed another rom and re install jellybam and still bluetooth and wifi would not work.

That's completely unnecessary. My Nitro hasn't been wiped since CM9, and generally CM does NOT need wipes when upgrading itself. If you're coming from other software or third-party ("UNOFFICIAL") builds of CM, do wipe.

What's your recommended way to update GApps?
I originally updated through CMUpdater, then flashed GApps (perceived I had some issues, but not sure now). So I reverted to backup and flashed the CM10.1 Zip and GApps Zip in CWM Recovery at the same time.
@aremcee
Did absolutely not know that. Thanks dude. Updating OP.
can anyone running latest nightly check if MHL is working?
Just checking in on this new thread. Installed the first CM10.1 nightly the other day, and it was flawless. No reboots or anything yet. Everything is smooth as can be, even on conservative governor. Somehow significantly better than CM10 stable . Also, the 4G toggle sticks now. Have updated to the latest nightly, and it's just as good.
Only complaint I have is of the new homescreen widget format. They now leave a lot of blank space, making the widgets themselves smaller while taking more space. I'm not sure why they did that.
Edit: Never mind the 4G toggle still malfunctions randomly. But I have finally found a workaround! Just turn off mobile data, change it to LTE/GSM/WCDMA, and then turn data back on. The thing is smooth as anything though.

To fix the space issue: go to setting, launcher, homescreen and check stretch screens.

So what's the idea on battery life? I know it's relative to each individual's use, but CM10 w/ light to moderate use had a 7-8% drain/hr and when using the phone you could watch the battery life just drop.. Is it still the same w/ 4.2.1 (CM10.1)? TIA
Has anyone had a problem syncing their exchange calendar using the 02-10 build (perhaps others too) after a fresh wipe? My Google calendar syncs properly, but no work events.
Also, I noticed if I use more than 5 rows of home screen icons, that I lose the text/titles below them.
Any tips appreciated!

In case anyone runs into the same issue: I found a solution: if you turn on automatic syncing in email for the account, the calendar app will update itself. Seems to be working fine now.

Not so for me, see battery dropping 1-2% per minute even only being used moderately, it seems that Quattrimus with Wind kernel gives EXCELLENT battery life but it's LTE doesn't work for Canada and GPS doesn't work. Now I'm suspecting LTE might be an issue for battery problem in Canada, even when I'm connecting only at 2G and 3G, need to do more test.

Bundled kernel. I hardly use the device but i can push about 3 - 4 hours screen on time. Standby is good to... About 5 days on standby with an hour of screen on.

I switched the governor to smartassv2 and clock speed to 192/1404. I'll run it like this for a few days and see how it does, I'll post results. I run GreenPower Premium (similar to Juice Defender).
Installed on a P936, but cannot connect to LTE network. Only HSPA is connected. Returned to CM10 and LTE is ok.
Anyone having the same issue?
Edits: just found out I forgot to set APN. Now it is ok.
Noticed steady battery drain even when idle... BetteryBatteryStats showed "AudioOut_2" causing partial wakelock. I disabled every app that I thought could be causing it and it was still there. Finally I unchecked 'Settings > Sounds > Touch Sounds' and the pw disappeared. So far so good- battery drain seems to have slowed. I'll continue to test.
What kernels are you guys using to get governors?

CM 10.1 RC2 Might be the best rom out there right now

its finally stabalized with bluetooth working, it gets decent battery, great performance, great features, you can add wind kernel 2.0 RC1 to improve battery life if you want.
so far no bugs, haven't tried mhl yet it has never worked on CM for this phone as far as i know though so prob still down, will report back later when i get a chance to try it.
with the said setup above i'm getting roughly 3 hours of video playback on 200 brightness (with wind kernel) when the test is done i can post exact numbers
3h 13m on 200 brightness running video playback
the results are posted on page 46 of wind kernel thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119976&page=46
It is incredibly stable too. I haven't had a crash, reboot, SoD or BSOD yet.
What is the best configuration kernel for this rom with wind 2.0rc1?
my phone is P936
Just stopping by to agree, since the RC2 release (I'm running nightly 5/11, day after RC2 release), my Bluetooth connections are working, my battery life is better and I haven't had to pull the battery to reset since.
ive had the odd random reboot now, not horrible though. the only other issue i'm getting is oddly high battery pull from WIFI but if i turn off wifi it's it's fine, i'm trying to figure out how to fix it now will report back, i can currently get 7-10 hours out of the phone with moderate use if i turn off wifi, i still think the battery can be better but it's workable for now.
the wifi issue worked itself out after some time, i'm getting 9-14 hours of use right now once i get a good setup i'll post it with some stats

im getting good battery life on 16/17 nightlies, yesterday i got 14 hours out of a battery and i even did a few extra things like 1 hour of gps navigation (had screen off) but it still used 25% of my battery (google maps said that in battery info)
anything over 12 hours i consider good.
There is a weird bug onde the CM kernel for RC2 that may prevent charging when the battery is depleted and the phone is off.
Installing the latest wind kernel fixes that problem
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
i actually learned about this today it happened to me, and it doesn't prevent charging, just the battery screen doesn't show up so you think its not charging, also you have to let it charge for 5-15 min then pull the battery, then power up the phone unplugged to get it to turn back on. i learned the hard way.
Maybe it was a coincidence and my battery just died, but I left the phone charging for 2h and the battery just didn't work.
I will check with another one to make sure
pull the battery, put the battery back in, plug it in for 15 minutes, then unplug, pull the battery again, put it back in, then boot ur phone and charge it while on.
it was probably already frozen when u left it charging, if the above doesn't work then u might have to look into more serious methods like trying other batteries or seeing if you can get into download mode to flash a new kdz and start from scratch (if u think the rom is causing it)

OK:
Everything works smoothly, smartly;
WiFi connection is fast;
With LockScreen'om so far so good;
Bugz:
Battery eats the same way (in the monitor battery discharge BatteryMix culprit - the application "settings");
When you turn on WiFi to reboot (2 times);
Alarm will only issue a 2 peak and he is snoozing;
In the camera when changing the position of the phone lines running across the screen (artifacts);
RAM is not enough, because it is a long time to switch from one application to another, I will try to expand the memory;
GPS has not seen a single satellite, interrupted settings on Russia .. after 5 minutes found the first. With prolonged use phone hangs tightly. Droops in 2 minutes;
Built-in WiFi tethering does not work.
I will test it long time, and post reply in DEV thread later.

Guys this is the first release so i don't think it will be on par with a mature 10.1. But seriously try it, its pretty stable and the more people running it providing feedback, the quicker its going to get better.
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
This ROM is pretty stable. I have had it for about 24 hours. I have had 2 reboots. First it was when I enabled Developer Options. The second was when I was trying to restore from Titanium, listen to music, and browse the internet at the same time. That should have probably been expected.
The battery life actually seems okay, but I am testing that today. I'll report back.
I will report more as I use it today.
*EDIT*
It also freezes for a few seconds when I enable settings some times. Nothing consistent. I just wait a few seconds and everything catches up.
Couple things: First of all 8/27 appears to be broken. When I installed from 8/26 - 8/27 my mobile network stopped working. My phone showed a red x under signal strength and under signal status my imei showed as unknown as was my APN. In fact it wouldn't even save my APN when I tried to manually install, but WiFi worked. I went back to 8/26 and everything worked again. Has anyone else tried 8/27?
2nd: on 8/26 WiFi bug seems to be back, turned on or off it constantly drains my battery, and the battery stats shows it on continuously.

I had tested Nightly from 08.26.
It is mostly stable. I hadn't any reboot. But i had used device as phone and to get some mails. Didn't launch gaames and etc.
Interface speed is better than 10.1. But overal benchmark score is lower( antutu with 10.1 - 7500, antutu with 10.2 - 6300)

Any 4.4.2 Rom without Bluetooth issue

Hi I have tried couple of Roms like Ditto and AOSB 4.4.2 Roms. For all these I have issues with my car bluetooth. The calls cant be answered properly or nothing cant be heard. I have raised this issue in my posts also. But not sure, any got fixed.
so please help me by telling, If there is any 4.4.2 Roms for N7100 without car bluetooth issue. Please help
I am on CM11 Nightly build from 14th March (have been using CM11 since M2 release) I went to this because others I tried lost my baseband and IMEI.
This works fine with my Parrot system - for both calls and playing music from my phone.
Only found your query because I am looking to see if there any questions on the fact that the in call volume level when just using the phone is very quiet even with it on full volume.
THe other quirk I have found (not a show stopper) is that the phone no longer reports the provider correctly. Before I moved from stock, the phone reported my provider as EE, now it fluctuates between T-Mobile and Orange
Am planning on trying out SlimKat.
I could be wrong but I think that most 4.4 ROMs out there are based on CM11
I have the N7105 LTE version of the phone
I switched to SlimKat last night and this one also has no problems with Bluetooth - used it to listen to music and make phonecalls from the car on the way in to work this morning.
It's early days but comparison between CM11 and SlimKat so far would be that SlimKat is the better ROM. It's hard to recall but am sure that I can get more app shortcuts to a screen, plus am not restricted to using hangouts for SMS messages.
Both ROMs have pretty good battery life with some aggressive Greenifying - been off charge for 6hours 30 mins so far today and have used 13% battery, bluetooth has been on all the time, mobile data is switched on but wifi doesnt stay on when screen is off.
SlimKat seems a good deal faster/more responsive than CM11 and Quadrant would seem to back that up - 6782 on SlimKat, 5656 on CM11 (CM11 was running in performance mode at the time too) so that is roughly 20% faster without applying any performance enhancements.
Think I will be sticking with this for a while

It is how I have set it up - it's in wifi options - when the screen is off you can keep wifi running all the time, or only when it is plugged in to charge, or never.
I use the "never" option unless i am downloading a large file such as an OTA update or even a new ROM. This helps the battery life.
