GloryROM (Base on V20С EU O2) - LG Nitro HD

Hi! I know many people using STOK ROMs because its stable.
So I just did little MOD of stok ROM every day use.
Features:
- Removed SW SecurityLock. So you never dont see "Security Error". Now you can do with ROM everything, can remove difference apps, modify apps, framework, do difference soft-mod and other.... ;
- Deleted old GAps, and added new;
- Deleted trash apps;
- Soft-touch touchscreen;
- Added support for init.d script;
- Added init.local.rc, in userspace, now you can add different service and change parameters for example SDCard cache (1mb now) or turn-on/off. KSM, and other;
- Rework STOK kernel, base on sources P930 (AT&T):
- minimum no needed path only system optimizations;
- few new shedulers;
- few new governos;
- reduced power consumption;
- turn-on SWAP, if you need it I can give script for it;
- turn-on KSM;
- turn-on zRAM and other stuff;
- Default frequency - 1 512mhz;
- Default shedulers - dead-line;
- Default governos - performans;
- Added LG-LED-notifications and IME from 4.1, superuser and other.
No modem inside, use it what you like, I am using 20f.

my device on 1512 in Antitu show me OVER 8100.

coming from you, at least it is worth to try it. downloading now. if its enough fast for me, i might use it as daily driver. cm9 and cm10 still have serious issues with random reboots and BSODs. i have been with your CM10 almost since day 1, great rom besides the battery drain.

Very fast, but incompatible with Wind-Kernel 3.0.

You dont need it. Current kernel is not worse then Wind-Kernel!
Later I will make CrazyKernel for it with CPU O/C and real GPU O/C. Our Andreno 220 have 266mhz by default. I can increase it to 400mhz - its maximum for Andreno 220. But Kernel will have very small battery life. So need choose for what you need ROM, for every day using or just for playing games with charger.

Just report. I am comfortable with the good battery life. Thank you.

Baseband
So this rom is based on v20 .... can i still run it and have signals under v10 ?

rom pretty stable, just like stock is. dunno if it has only happened to me but stock lg roms seem to have less sensitive digitizer. HO!NO!'s v20 and att stock is same, just like this one.
overall the rom is great besides the common "lag" on lg stock roms for this device.

el_venga
open RootExplorer
system\usr\idc\touch_dev.idc
or in other ROMs it can be system\usr\idc\synaptics_ts.idc
edit file:
touch.size.scale = ??? - find you digit what you like
and
touch.pressure.scale = ??? find you digit what you like

Thanks for making this rom, do I have to unbrick first, since this is based on stock rom?

If you are under sotck ICS, yes you have to use an unbrick method to get back to GingerBread since when LG rolled out the ICS update, it locked the bootloader as well. I also did that and it works, i used heretics unbrick method, very easy if you follow the step accordingly.

I've been using GloryROM since shortly after it was posted. So far, it's been very stable with excellent battery life. I installed by "dirty flashing" over HO!NO! P930 Bell Official V20f. I'm very happy with it and plan on sticking with this ROM for awhile. Loving the stability! :good:

Did the touch screen modification and I feel it better, although could be placebo effect. Btw awesome battery life. I'm still on 70% with my regular use in about 12 hours. By this time I was usually about 40%.

I tried today to pair with my BT radio in the car and couldn't do it. Maybe it's the phone.

But this rom is already better than stock rom, it is greatfull and hope will fix soon

I did not realised the Bluetooth issue until today. Waiting for a fix. I might go to cm10 until then.

Liquid Nitro
Modified AT&T Stock ICS
I love the stock ROM. Mainly because it's just about the most stable ROM I've used. However, there seems to be a ton of useless apps and such that AT&T installs on it. So in Liquid Nitro, I have removed all of the bloatware, fixed a few memory leaks, and made various tweaks for speed, network speed, and better feel. I hope you enjoy.

FAQ:
Q: Why the incremental updates?
A: I've always hated having to download 100 to 200mb files just for a minor update. So, my updates are just the files that have been updated.
Q: Can I get this ROM for my su640?
A: I'm not quite sure yet.
Q: Can you add {Insert App Name Here} to Liquid Nitro?
A: I can sure give it a try. Post it in the thread and I'll take a look.
Q: Can you add {Insert Paid App Name Here} to Liquid Nitro?
A: No.
Q: Will this void the warranty?
A: Nope. Go here and read about it.
Q: Why does the Optimus LTE logo show at startup?
A: That is a side effect of Wind Kernel. I've mentioned it in the Wind thread and the developer is going to look into it. This is taken care of in V7.
Q: Is there any way to change the AT&T boot animation in a future update?
A: Yes. But, I'm not creative enough to design a new logo for Liquid Nitro. If you want to help, let me know.

No, you have to have CWM or TWRP installed. From what I understand, you have to unbrick to install either of those.

Thanks for your work on this. Just a quick question: I removed the custom recovery partition to have a pure v20c rooted following drumist's guide for some reason it just runs better, don't know why it just does. I like what you have done but don't want to go back and reinstall the custom recovery. Is there a way to find out what files you modified so I can just push them over? For example I found your modified systemUI.apk and pushed that over so I no longer have the AT&T logo. Thanks in advance.

I use CM10.1 (JB 4.2.2) by Olddroid and with some tweaks that I made (froze some system apps and disabled autostart entries) I got 185MB of free RAM when I boot into Android. And I can tell you that it works flawlessly. On my phone it's faster than stock Android ROM. And don't bother benchmark scores. They don't always indicate that your system is slow.
For my is AOKP jb-mr1 (jb+) by erikcas http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173572
Very stable, is my every day rom

I froze all the apps that I don't use. When I boot my phone, it uses only about 90-95 MB of RAM and by the way I'm using a Jelly Bean (4.2.2) ROM. I also prevented apps from running in the background so they don't drain my battery's juice. I underclocked the CPU to 748 MHz and selected smartassv2 & SIO.
I'm using stock battery.
I used Autostarts and System Tuner apps to make all that tweaks. Be careful. Don't disable Fused Location, System UI and Android System.

[ROM][V20F][AT&T][P93x][NitroTNT v2.2] Stock-modified ICS [07-23-2013][UPDATE]

AT&T V20F NitroTNT Version 2.2
Based on V20F from HO!NO! (Thanks for all your work) and added Wind Kernel 3.7 ICS.
Additional thanks goes to mattman86, lyfkevin & kronicskillz whose work is also in this.
I made this with the intention making it as close to what AT&T would have done (without the bloat), plus make general improvements to the entire stock experience. One of the things I wanted to address was what some people have referred to as "LAG". I think I have addressed this nicely as version 2 has no perceivable lag. I also wanted to start addressing some of the ugliness (thank you mpsantiago) by restyling the icons to something I find more appealing. I look forward to everyone's feedback.
Status Bar icon changes:
KronicUI Mod....thank you Kronicskillz.....
4G and 4G lte icons made smaller (stock ICS had them way too big)
If you prefer the original system bar icons and theme download the attachment below
In future versions I intend to work on the cosmetics of things like the dialer app.

I started this little project because I was never 100% happy with any of the stock versions out there and so this is the end result. Great battery life sleeps very deeply averages about 3% in 10 hrs at idle plus I also tweaked the GPS config file to eliminate my lock issues.

Looks great! just had to tell u this is the exact setup (- your icon/ status bar work) that I have been using since hono's release; even down to the launcher, Google now, wind, etc etc. Great minds think alike eh? Pretty much as close as we can get to a stock lg jellybean rom. That being said I haven't flashed but can pretty safely assume nitrotnt is crazy fast, incredibly stable, and one of the best roms for battery life available. I'm working on a similar cm10.1 based version now until WiFi is fixed on the official jb leak.
Edit: what app do you recommend for overclocking? Specifically the GPU both 2/3d. Also settings like ksm, zram, schedulers etc for best performance? I like to play around to find the best setups for performance, gaming, battery life, heavy usage etc. Thanks again

In regards to an overclocking app I just use no frills as I have no desire to oc the GPU. With that being said you could probably use CPU tuner or something similar. Since it has wind kernel it shouldn't be a problem. In regard to other settings I use what lfkevin has recommended for the ICS version of wind kernel (intellidemand & row) even though for the cm10.1 version he recommends ondemand and cfq. What the differences are I don't know I am still a bit of a newbie. . In regards to zram. I remember HO!NO! a long time ago recommending to not change those settings, but that could have also been in regards to cm9. I hope this helps some. I really am not a developer I just can figure out how to tinker. Best of luck and I hope you enjoy this ROM.

i have a few comments... first of all nice work not bad at all.
2nd i noticed that it runs much smoother with apex launcher.
3rd fyi MHL is verified working on this rom. (due to based on stock nature)
4 is a request, is it possible to add circle with percentage battery icon and the blue data signal icon?, also is it possible to make bluetooth go grey instead of white when not in use, and make it slightly smaller?
not a huge deal but the white is a bit anoying, also would be nice to remove am/pm from status bar as it takes up room and almost nobody needs it
overall good work nice rom

Thank you for the comments. In regards to the launcher, the Optimus UI is just my personal preference but if you want to use Apex just freeze the Optimus launcher after you install Apex so it isn't using any system memory.
In regards to your request it would be as simple as replacing the systemui.apk from HO!NO!'s v20f since I used his ROM as a base for this. As far as the AM/PM that will require modifying XML files in the systemui.apk so that is going to take some more time to work through those. For the Bluetooth it would just be a simple PNG file swap, easy enough. So I will see about providing you a modified file for that. Who knows I even might like it better . Thank you again for the critique.

thanks man, one other thing i noticed is that poweramp is crashing, i haven't figured out if its rom related or not yet, if you feel like it you could install the poweramp trial and tell me if it crashes on your phone, thanks again.
i noticed the bluetooth thing right away cuz i leave mine perma on, since i use my bluetooth stereo in my car and i can't be bothered to turn it off and on every time, i also noticed that leaving it on doesn't consume much power (atleast i dont think it does).
---------- Post added at 09:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:27 AM ----------
just to clarify i want the blue icons from CM cuz i use an all blue theme, icons, background etc, that's why i like the blue data/wifi/battery icons, if it's too much work to change them all though, or if other people dont want it, just don't worry about it i dont want to be too much trouble.
is there a way for me to just mod them on mine? ive never looked into it.
edit ----> i isolated the crash problem i think, it's happening to anything that uses sdcard, so i think my card needs a format.
- update, i can play media files off my sdcard with es file explorer, but not any media player that uses the system media scanner
- update i think the is the fault of an app i used that was suposed to rescan media.
i tried a bunch nothing fixing it so i'm going to do a full wipe and try again, i'm liking this rom though it has potential if i get it all working.
i got the crashing issue after formatting sdcard and full wipe and reinstall, something is amiss in the rom i think.

so the fix for this is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39845686&highlight=poweramp#post39845686
i believe, i no longer have the rom installed but i'm assuming thats it in case anyone else needs it. it's a flashable zip that removes some of the tweaks he did that cause some apps to crash like poweramp
I will have some free time Sunday, I think and will look at incorporating these changes. Never noticed the power amp issue because I don't use but I will try to duplicate. I will also install the fix to make sure it doesn't create other issues before I roll it out in an update. Thanks again for your feedback. I have been using this ROM 100% since I rolled it out and just love it. [KERNEL][Code-Craft][PatchWork] 4.3 [AOSP][3.4.58]-03 XZ Linaro 4.7.4

Hey all, I decided to go to the darkside and move away from stock.
This kernel is a fork from chadouming and Team Placeholder. with that being said, thank you to both.
This has only been tested Android 4.3, I do not believe it will work on 4.2.

Kernel Features
Voltage
Haptic and Vibration control VIA Faux Clock
Linaro 4.7.4

More coming soon!
Just in case...
I'm really psyched to see where this goes. Thanks and good luck! :good:
Good Job

Super excited to see you make a kernel for aosp. Will be my go-to. I would like to request frandom support in the kernel. Smoocha kernel had frandom support and I believe it really did help performance. I first read about frandom from the Crossbreader thread in the general android section. Here's the paragraph:
"5. Frandom support (Optional) - CrossBreeder now supports linking both your random devices to the extremely fast alternative - Frandom ( http://billauer.co.il/frandom.html ). This module is orders of magnitude (10-50 times) faster than the standard character devices ( Check this out - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=134 ). The erandom character device also installed by Frandom doesn't use up system entropy at all on top of being fast. You will need to ask your ROM developer to develop the kernel module for you and then place it in /system/lib/modules. CrossBreeder will then try and load it and if successful, make all the necessary adjustments so that both /dev/random and /dev/urandom are pointing to /dev/frandom and /dev/erandom respectively. The speed benefits are to be seen to be believed. But since each ROM requires a unique kernel module, this option is left optional ( but auto detect ). Advanced users can even try and load the frandom module built for other kernels if they don't have one readily available for their own kernel version using the Punchmod utility. Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...5#post41920265"
Thanks for your time reading
Is this a custom kernel or parts used from mako and that ?

Is this kernel based on mako or e975 kernel, and does camera work like the stock cm kernel?

Hey man, tried flashing this on top of shelnut's CM 10.2 after wiping dalvik and cache and got stuck at a weird LG boot screen, then the screen and capacitive buttons turned on but it was just a blank black screen. I'm really looking forward to trying this though.

Indeed it was.
I'm going to have to make one from cm sources. This one won't work on cm 10.2 and there kernel Wont work on a pure source 4.3 .... I don't really k ow what's going on with cm .I know they like to have their kernels built with their ROMs. I'm thinking that I will start on a cm kernel tonight after work. This source that I'm using is a caf 2.5 kernel. You all that are using cm will have a kernel tonight

Thank you, sir! Much appreciated!
Ty ... I do know the big problem is our cm is mostly mako with a few tweaks to work on our phone... If we can ever get one the built from source not one put together by bits and pieces that would solve a lot of problems... But please don't get me wrong I do appreciate all the work that is and has been done to even get ports working for us...

This kernel isn't based on Mako. It is based on the Qualcomm-made Snapdragon-optimized sources at CodeAurora (their repositories for sharing code with partners and us). That is the same source that manufacturers (such as LG) base their kernels on (even Google does as well, but theirs is not up-to-date and is missing some optimizations).

Sorry about that. LG has a strange initlogo implementation which I haven't quite figured out yet. It only shows for a second so it's not too bad though. If I disable or delete the initlogo, it seems to boot up slower, so that's why it's there.

No need to apologize. I understand that things are a work in progress and that bugs need to be worked out. I'm just happy to be running 4.3 lol.
However, I will say that once the weird LG screen went away, my phone would not boot. It would just go to a blank, black screen. The screen was on, and the capacitive buttons were lit up but the screen was just blank.
So if you got it to actually boot up then you got farther than I did!

its not a problem anymore at all. Shelnutt completely rebased cm10.2 on the rom from e975, so we don't have a mako based rom anymore, its lgog based, which is why camera isn't an issue as much anymore
Thanks for this kernel . what other things do u plan on adding into the kernel?

I'm thinking block related code. For scheduler improvements. I would rather make stock better. Daily drivers and functionality are priorities for me

I believe that it means set cpu governor. Basically you can set how your CPU act based on various parameter.
About these parameters, I'm afraid I can't give you any advice, because everyone has different needs, and me myself, I prefer the default setting.

I never changed the CPU Governor at any Rom i've ever had.
I tried a few minutes the Minimal 1.6 and i can say that its smooth .
A few Hours later i will give my last feedback and then we can close this thread .
When not i will continue Search.
€: I have one Problem. I cant sync Music ( It says i dont have Music on my Device). I have modified vold.stab.
Yes, govs means governor. I recommend flashing d-kernel too. I set performance/sio, but yours doesnt have to be the same. About music, wait few hours then see if it appears.(it should, mine did)
