Hello everyone! i have an LG E510 (HUB/Univa),android version 2.3.4, Gingerbread,and software v10c-sep-30-2011.(If I missed anything else, please tell me). In android section/software/modding and anything else i`m a noob, i admit that, but i need help and in the forum i can`t find a solution to my problem. Please,please help me. I am ready to root or change rom if i need too.
1. i can`t upgrade my software, he tell me that i have the last version. how can i do that? by root it? or only install lg pc suite on my pc?but how can i put ics or anything else?
and 2. i want to change my lockscreen if i can with one like iphone has. i like it a lot, but only that and the answer slide. The rest is stupid (my opinion). Now, how can i change the lockscreen and answer slide like on iphone, but can i do that and only that? i find MIUI and MIOS on youtube and google. but i dont want to change everything, like i said i like android icons and setting and everything.
So please help me with one answer least. Thank`s in advance.

I would suggest personalizing your phone to do what you need it to do and not based on what other peoples preferences. Need an app the does something? Find it and get it. Need a calendar widget? Put it up on your home screen. Pretty simple.
If you have anything specific in mind, I am sure the community will be glad to help.
I, of course, searched around for the answer to these questions, but didn't find any - here or on the internet.
I spent a long time working on my custom theme/appearance, and have also considered rooting my phone (LG Optimus Sol) in order to be able to customize all aspects of it.
My questions:
1. Theme problem: Like I said, I spent quite a while on my theme, if I root my phone, will my theme and/or widgets be lost?
2. Rooting: I use Gingerbread as OS and would like to know which rooting program is better/safer: Gingerbreak or SuperOneClick?
3. Brick solution: I know the risks of rooting, and I would like to know if there is any chance to un-brick my Sol if the horrible thing happens.
I hope this thread doesn't get ignored. >.<

I'm writing here because I'd like to install on my phone Gingerbread, but I absolutely don't know how...
Reading on web let me know that LG will not realize a version of Gingerbread for my phone, so I've decided to search on the web to solve my problems..I have restore many times the phone because it was slow but the situation has not improved..
Are there roms for my phone? How can install them? Which one do you recommend?

Hi guys. Sorry for this, I was unsure where to look. I attempted to ask in a different section but was told to post here.
Here's the problem -
I am stuck with this cell , cannot make calls, connect to wifi, etc. I have read many complaints about this. Basically, I am told by others I need to flash it, and get an upgrade. Currently I am running Android 2.2.2. Sorry guys, I am VERY new to all this. I cannot seem to find any help upgrading it. Of course I cannot do so when attempting via the upgrade option in settings, due to the wifi issue. Can someone please point me in the direction of a tool kit which can be used with Mac OSX?
Also, when I attempt to make calls, I get something like "Reorganizing internal processes"
Software version is currently LGP925 - V10e
If I need to tell anyone anything else about it, can you please let me know? Im so bad with all this, again sorry. I am a recent convert from Windows to Mac. Just not sure how to get the proper tools I need. If I could find them, I can then very easily just follows the steps, which I made a note of.

I would give you some links but I don't see P925, only P920 and P920H. Someoen who uses the Optimus 3D will know which version of things is right for you and get you flashed on a newer custom rom. :good:

I'm not a noob when it comes to this stuff. I've rooted phones before with rooting programs and applications.
I recently got my hands on a Panasonic T44 and the fact that i can't use the root apps that I used on my old phone is driving me crazy.....
A bit of expert help here would be gladly appreciated....
If that's not possible, could anyone please tell me if there are custom roms that i can flash into this???
P.S. :- I'm new to forums, please don't think that i'm being rude or anything.......
