Works in cynogenmod [UPDATE]Google Maps v6.2.0 ( + World Navigation activated)

Installation for cynogenmod users(use maps.apk)
1. In Titanium Backup, select Maps and make a backup.
2. Select Maps and wipe data, then uninstall.
3. Select Street View and wipe data, then uninstall
4. Install Google Maps 6.2.0 mod.apk
5. Go to market, and reinstall street view.
Other ROM use zip file
Flash it via cwm

I think he asked for something else; Google Maps > 5.8 have been constantly crashing in every CM7.x Rom. Is this version crash free?

Hi, I'm looking for google maps ATM and found your thread,
I wanna ask, is it works on CM 7.2 RC0?
edit: I've flash it with cwm 5 but no maps showed up on my app drawer, anyone know why?

People read on first page.
Cyanogen users must use "maps.apk" and stock use the zip file .
Dont forget to delete maps and street view first. Make backup.

here, i'm porting Joyos 1.1.9 from lg optimus one by h3nr1qu3

I am chinese,one of our dev finish it without any bugs.(except bln)
This ui is made by chinese too,and it only has chinese and english as you guess.

why porting from LG Optimus?
porting from C8650 directly will be better.
and there is one bug with the original camera on JOYOS , which makes the images getting from the camera rotate 90 degrees.
you can use the camera on CM7.2 by phiexz instead of the camera on JOYOS.

as for the button backlight problem , I suggest disabling backlight completely.
use Root Explorer,
open the file "/sys/calss/leds/button-backlight" with "Open in Text Editor"
change the original value to num "0" , save the file
and then change the permissions of this file as:
√××
√××
∨××

Stock headset works.
Another bug : android.phone fc when receiving or making phone calls.
Edit : nevermind. Works after wiping cache

how to change icon:
1. open the rom using winrar/7zip
2. go to system/app
3. find n open joy launcher.apk
4. go to res folder n open it
5. open folder "drawable-mdpi"
6. copy icon you want to use n paste in this folder "drawable-mdpi"
*before copying the icon make sure the name of the icon must be "theme_qualwin_style_.......png"
ex if u want to change browser icon, the name for ur icon must be "theme_qualwin_style_browser.png"

lol this is a port, that is very buggy and not for daily use
But i think over to publish my bugfree version yet (v1.2.0)

Hi guys , i started a thread on how to get Viber on your nexus 7.On the Play Store page on the Viber it says :

Google viber apk.
Or if you have an android phone than download it from play store.
With ESFileExplorer send it to your gmail. Open gmail on Nexus and install it.

I was using viber for a long time untill yesteday Itried to upgrade it to the latest version (2.3.0.694) via Blackmart. after that I couldn't open it any more and it just gave error "unfortunately, viber has stopped". I've uninstalled it, and after that I cannot install it again. I tried play store some other markets and apk file and it can't install it. even I tried prevoius version apk file (that used to work just fine) but it cannot be installed either.
what should I do? is there any cache or something that prevents it to be installed?

A restart should fix your problem. It'll clear any leftover data and allow you to reinstall.

what veersion of android ?

Installed. Not smooth, gps too slow. Removed

Solved my problem... flashed over my previous MIUI. No problems now.
PS: Yes it's very smooth and GPS is working fine. Try to fix permissions... and like any other rom, let it settle for a while before givings conlusions and removing.

Where is the google apps and multilang?

Anyone knows how this rom been build up!! Miui never talked about it!!

Don't know... But miui never talked about quitting on lt26 and they did it... So I don't expect much news from them.
I suppose this is a user modded rom wich I can confirm is working without problems... Battery seems to be with same consumption... But will have to wait by the end of the day.

Battery life in on on screen more then 16 hours.
This is miui chinese change ur language on main menu press menu key n select the last option for setting then touch on next tab for full setting scroll down n select the keyboard icon under the clock then press the first option u will see english.
Google apps is included in post now.
Its based on 4.0.4 ICS

I achieve 1 day and 7hours to get to low battery warning.
It looks a little bit more efficient than official version... But was expecting more improve.
I, m using auto brightness with a low inicial value, and this is the normal use I give to phone (wifi, 3g only for direct accessing net, the syncs Run on 2g, airplane when I'm sleeping...
For now I'm keeping the rom, it looks good!

1. Due to less RAM consumption, phone tends to be more responsive, smooth and faster !
2. Overall performance increases.
3. If you are a benchmark believer, then AnTuTu scores were also slightly higher compared to the original ROM's
4. These lite ROM's along with any script like Adrenaline Engine, can boost your performance slightly higher.
5. These ROM's can be used as a daily driver, 100% !
6. While in CM7 there is no bootanimation, the screen will be blank, so don't worry you did not brick your phone :fingers-crossed:

before install mine rom if u have installed ics or jb or froyo than u face playstore problem.[thanks to mrvan2851 for informing this prob and thanks to saif husain for testing]
So,
Highly recommended before install the rom
1st install cm7 official nighty and g-apps and than flash mine rom
[main advantage not have to install g-apps after the flashing mine rom and not playsore problem ]
Now this steps...,
1. Wipe data
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe dalvik cache
4. Install zip from sd-card
5. Wait till it flashes
6. Again wipe data [yeah AGAIN ]
7. Again wipe cache
8. Again wipe dalvik cache
9. Hit reboot and enjoy..!!!

-keyboard is may forceclose than install this wp7 keyboard than click here
OR u can install smart keyboard from here
-another u have to tell me

yeah...i haven't tried that but i do this

[don't come from ics or jb it gavge error to one user which gave me msg]
