Could a ps2 emulator be possible on the Galaxy Note 2? if not could someone help me understand why because I know that the Galaxy Note 2 has a 1.6 quad core processor but I don't know what that compares to a ps2 processor I tried looking it up but I don't understand what they said really 300mhz seems really low dose not comput
No there is no PS2 emulator mainly because of the complexity of the system you would need to emulate and not the raw power needed to run the games
When emulating u need waaaaaaaay more power than the original system how much more depends on how good the emulator is and how complicated the system was even though the ps2 only had a 333mhz processor it had a separate graphics processor I mean the graphics that were there is comparable to what we get on high end android games which means that the graphics processing we have now it's around the same and we waaaaay more to emulate <--- problems not to mention that people have been having problems with a ps2 emulator on pc the system is just too complexed and a emulator is a long way off on android at least a fully functional one

I am currently alpha testing a dreamcast emulator for drk|Raziel. I need someone else who has an even better clocked/tweaked setup. Post your Nenamark scores in this thread and I shall pick the best. Mine is 55.0 fps so if yours is not that fast please don't bother.
Dreamcast had some GREAT games. Hope this works out
52.3

In Rawat's defense, this was 1.4GHz on a Vibrant that can do 65fps, he just linked me to this screenshot and i could not resist.
In my defense, i am booting a i9000 kernel since there is no source for us, so it's not totally misguided
will glady pay for this app. hope the dev releases soon.
53.1
Posted my settings in the Assonance ROM Thread
Whoa this will be ace if this progresses!
A dreamcast emulator, what a dream, I hope you'll handle this
Good luck
lol i set the fastest score for the Sprint 4g trying to beat 55.0 fps...
i scored 52.3 and 51.9 consistently with a high refresh rate kernel i compiled.

according to wpcentral epic games contacted ms about their unrealengine but didnt got the OK.
now with mango comming up its time for some epic visuals on our mobile devices.. now if only ms would allow it... you can compare, just check out the upcomming wp7 and some ue3 game for iphone..
while im waiting, ill check out the 3d engine for wp7, but looking at the screenshoots the engine looks very much 2005... so you should vote with yes if you ever want to see some epic Unreal Engine 3 on WP7
i tell you its worth every penny....

It will come, MS is going to release a special C++ SDK for some professional developers.
I'm doubting whether our 1st gen snapdragon processor can handle these games well???

With an engine tweaked to perfection, you can get pretty far - maybe not iOS, but good.
Theres already an topic for this app on the Xperia Play thread, and i thought i should share this amazing app.
Presenting the newest DS emulator Dsiod
Currently on version 1.7 it is a work in progress that has been recieving updates every 4 days since i started following the app
It's playable games list maybe small, but the ones it does play outstrip NDS4Droid, and the list of game compatibility is only sure to increase with time
I urge you to check this out and lets make our SII's the gaming platform they can be

what? NDS Emulator?
Game ON with Pokemon games!!!
although gaming session will only last only few hours, probably 40 minutes without charging...
Oh men that's sweet, i'm NDS fan. Have you played some pokemon on S2, is the performance good?. they should provide a free test or something to check that out.
I hope you could buy it via paypal :/.
EDIT: Sorry, over reacted, seems the thing is still early beta, so games that run are slow. Well nothing new then, hope he gets somewhere soon.
Well from my own experience with v1.7 (huge improvement over 1.6 btw)
Pokemon games play at an edurable pace. It also seems faster then nds4droid but again I think that might just my thoughts.
This is however this is the most worthwhile purchase I made from the play store recently
Good news is that Chinese munufacturer Pico has released the latest device Pico which will be a new virtual reality system, the first to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. But it’s different from*some all-in-one headsets*that feature Android-based software, the*Pico Neo*doesn’t cram the processor, memory, and RAM into the headset itself.
Instead, the Pico Neo’s processor is packed into a game controller. This serves a few purposes. It will be not too hot when you paly this VR headset. Because it has been dealt with this kind of problem. And if you want you, you can buy it without the controller for about half the price and then pair it with a PC or other device.
According to the official news, Pico Neo will be available in Late June about $550 with the controller included. Or around*$300 without the controller. Will you spend your money to have a first and nice experience?

Amazing little toy, even The Verge has an article about it: http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/19/11462988/pico-neo-vr-virtual-reality-specs .
I just found the real specs:
Andriod 6.0 or PUI
Snapdragon 820 Quad-Core SoC
Adrino 530 GPU
2*3.8inch 90HZ AMOLED supports 2K
DR4-1866 RAM 3G,and eMMC 5.1 SSD storage
Your thoughts?
oh,I also found more details about this vr from geekbuying blog
Mod edit by @Darth : selling site link removed.
Man, this thing looks pretty cool. I'm not sure how it'll work but at least it's very innovative!!
Had an idea to check and see how well past generation console emulator runs on the Fold 4. It was susprisinglying easy to find the various apps needed and all without needing to 'root' the device.

Obviously pirating is illegal ans I should say I already own all the original games that I have got ROM/ISO files I put on the device today. Add in a wireless controller and earphones it makes a great mobile gaming rig all without needing Internet connectivity.
With native upsampling and aggressive anisotropic filtering through the emulator am pleasantly surprised how smooth a sub VGA PS2 game can look on the Fold.
The difference is quite visible, ploy counts are the same, just one is literally much rougher around the edges.
Even PS1 stuff like TOCA is looks OK, certainly by 'mobile' game standards.
For stuff like GT4 and UT, makes the visuals much more 2010+ vs 2000.
Very little battery consumption when using the emulators too, barley more than Web browsing. I recon easily 4-5hrs usage from 85% SOC.
Are there any preinstalled games on these emulators?
I have only been PC gaming and all my games are on steam so I have not got anything for these old emulators to play on.
I don't suppose you would know if there is anyway to use a windows emulator or some kind of VMware or HyperX for androids to run windows on non rooted devices ?
