Don't push it, we know arco is working very very hard on camera in our 3.0 kernel. But we have to wait patiently. With patient comes profit.
Is the camera in i8150 same as in the newer i8190?
Can you hack and grab drivers and files needed from the newer galaxy III mini? Both are 5m pixels cameras.
The mini is stock Android 4.1.

Hi Guys. I saw there is really good development happening Here. After i dropped down my galaxy nexus i taked an galaxy s. Right now im running stock 4.0.4 with devil kernel. Overklocked to 1200 MHz. Since i builded cm9 from source (amazing not?XD) i Will help in the development here. If anyone needs help i will help them. Please help to take this topic alife! Dude, LI12 it's a JB ROM.
The new gallery came from a new 4.0.4 ICS Rom for GN.
So if you use any ICS this gallery works cuz it uses the same framework of ICS for SIII.

It works awesome on ics.. just flash it.. you can even make new albums ...rename albums ... multitask view of albums.. now this is cooool... can also be catogorized by time..location..etc...

try another script just like adrealine engine,lagfree v3 etc.this script works on our gio but its some incompatible tweaks makes wifi and other scrolling laggy or buggy.

Works perfect on Adrenalin ROM. No Lags. But I can't say anything about the Battery life.

Some days ago i installed cm 7.2 by droid ace and i reallized that the camera rotation isn't working well,the icons rotate and so on but when i take the photo the orientation os wrong as on videos as well...

I recommend you to use CyanogenMod by ItachiSama it's bugfree or AOSP ICS by MMB . Battery life is very good and it's so smooth!

In my opinion you should install AOSP 4.0.4 from Maclaw. It's smoother than MMB's one.

just look at 2nd post of that thread.....download it and flash with cwm recovery....and you'll get new gallery and video player on your stock 4.2.2 rom....
