I have tried the figure 8 calibration and the compasses is not accurate sometimes 60 degrees off. I don't care about the compass but it makes it difficult using maps or google sky etc. iPhone and ipad compass work fine.
Are you using a case with magnets in it?

Just the Samsung flip case.

Probably, but it won't do all the same things that it does with the Note since it's not made for the S2.
Use those phone/pads pen they sell at walgreens $5 i think it was..
Spen has a special tip that uses a technology exclusive on the note series screen to make it precise enough to wite on. I know, i got a note
It doesn't work for the s2

Correct me if I'm wrong...
But doesn't the s pen also have a pc chip inside?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
Maybe, it has something inside to work with the note

I love the idea of the c-pen.
Does anyone have any feedback?

Hopefully u don't use a screen protector. It makes it not work as well. Other than that I live mine. The only thing I don't like is the fact that its so big and I have to carry it around separately. I'm working on just using the tip in a smaller body with a clip that I can attach to the fold of the flip cover so that it doesn't interfere with it closing.
Other than that I love it. Oh yea, you can't use it on any other device.....

I like mine, but yea you have to press kind of hard if you have a screen protector,
Btw I can use my Cpen on wife's note 10.1
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I don't have have a note 10.1 to test.... I can see it working on that as the screen is similar to ours. Same with the note and note 2. As far as iphones, iPads, my transformer etc. It will work if u push extremely hard.... feels like I'll break the glass though if I do. Its because the tip is so fine, roughly half the size of a standard stylus
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
it's to my understanding that the reason the C-Pen won't work on most other devices is because the Galaxy S3 and a few other Samsung devices have a higher "resolution" (if you will) touch sensor. Basically it doesn't require as much of a contact patch to detect touch.
I have been thinking way too much about the finger print catcher battery cover on this phone and started to think...how hard would it be for a company to produce a ceramic battery door for this phone? Would anyone even buy one?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Due to the way that my ceramic coated wedding band will not scratch this would be awesome. I have a feeling though that the ceramic would block signals.

I was just on ebay searching for a different battery cover and I found a carbon fiber and a leather cover I liked. I almost bought it until I looked at the pictures really close and noticed that non of'm had the 2 LTE antenna prongs on them like the US versions. Man that sucks, the leather cover is really nice
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
Those two prongs are for NFC not LTE

Anybody knows? On the original back door cover there's these two lil metal dots that look like they connect to the phone when you snap it on. I want to get one of those flip cases but not through Samsung since they charge so much. The third party covers are built the same but are missing the two metal dots.

Yes, the NFC chip is in the back cover, so you would need to buy a cover that has NFC.

Or just peel it of and put it on your new case since it is a sticker and will peel right off and sick to the new case.

This is true but aluminum covers will not work even if you do this.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
You can also buy the nfc chip on ebay for about $4. It will stick right in the stock location.

I've not once, ever, used NFC. I guess I never saw the point when I could just assign a widget or navkey to accomplish the same task.
Used it at McDonalds at time or two.

There's practically nothing on AOSP that could be considered useless. There really isn't any added features besides photosphere. I guess NFC could be considered useless but its one of those things that when the time comes you'll be glad you have it. Photosphere, I used a couple times but it doesn't work too well with the galaxy nexus average camera quality.

No, there is plenty of uses. I pair my Bluetooth speakers and headset with NFC in under 3 seconds. I also share pictures with my less than tech savvy friends using the touch to share feature. I have also seen a couple ads with a NFC tag that give you a free song.

Ive never used CM profiles. I also never OC or UV.
I like the idea of nfc, but haven't used it yet. MHI, or hdmi I don't think I would ever use. Maybe miracast, but it will probably be years before it is widely implemented.

The front facing camera.
Beamed from my Maguro.
My wife actually has an NFC enabled phone but we still rarely, if ever, use it. Even if we're sitting right next to each other, I still just email or text stuff to her so she can get at it on her phone. I'm sure it might be worth it in some use cases, or for some people, but I've never used it.
Bluetooth! Gotta say, I have never used it.
