Heres the latest Google Wallet apk that was updated in the play store that I pulled from my Galaxy Nexus toro....yes my Galaxy Nexus Toro...Got the update direct from the play store, and no message about it be Not compatible...I'm currently running a nightly of cyanogenmod 10.2...not sure if that made a difference, But here is the latest Wallet apk with the new slide out hamburger menu and new design in all.

To update an existing version, do you just need to run the apk or do i need to do anything else? First time ive had to update this.

All you should have to do it just run the apk, and it will ask you to update your existing version.

I updated mine running AOKP JB-MR1 Build 2 which is obviously rooted with no issues. I actually updated from Wallet 1.5 –R87–v15 which was never released to the play store, it was was pre-installed on the Nexus 4 and 7 and never had an issue with it. I havent tested the new one as far NFC yet, but wont get a chance till after work later on tonight. But everything looks like its in working order.

try this apk, I pulled this one straight from the play store through a chrome extension. Shouldn't be any different but worth a try.
EDIT: just did an md5 compassion and there both the same. So I don't know whats going on.
BTW the MD5 should be :AACFC3CFC556C1292D1157CB0781B8C4

Aren't you supposed to go into the app's settings and Reset Google Wallet before installing a new version of the app? Otherwise, you run into a wall of problems? Or is that not necessary anymore?

I ran into the same problem. I changed build.prop to be the same as when I originally installed wallet, and after fixing my soft brick because I forgot to fix permissions, I was able to run the new version of wallet. I restored build.prop and everything still works. My cards are still present, I didn't need to wipe anything.

If it helps anyone, I saved a copy of the working version I had to my Dropbox, and completly deleted it from the phone prior to installing the new version.

Was your device unlocked or rooted, or running a custom ROM? Trying to figure out how those have it up and running got it to work.

Hello, can someone show me to the most recent thread to getting The Galaxy S3 to work with google wallet? I would like to take advantage of this while I can, however I hear it is blocked with this phone due to ISIS. I get my phone this friday, and i would like to take the time now to study up and understand what to do. The phone is already rooted, I just need a ROM or something that already has wallet working on it..or etc. Please help, greatly appreciated.

I believe if you reflash you have to open GW and reset in settings. Then you can start over.

The link from krnChicken is the best thread I've seen. However, GW isn't working if you are on the latest OTA UVALH2. It will work on previous versions. Same thing for the other updates to other carriers from what I could see. The OP is wating on some updated lib files to get it working for those who updated.

It does work on ICS and JB just fine. I am running PA and it's been working for a while now.
Just chg ya build.prop to
ro.product.model=SPH-L710
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=d2spr
ro.product.device=d2spr
Then go into recovery, clear ya cache and download from the Play Store. Pretty easy.......

ATT, Verizon and T-mobile all stopped supporting Google wallet, doesnt matter which rom or device you have. Iris wallet is now taking over and they are just in 2 cities right now

i signed up for paypal here back when it was first in beta and they sent me a card reader....when i was accepted into the beta it automatically put the card reader app on my phone, even before i received the reader....once i got the receiver i plugged it in and everything worked fine with it....
well i flashed my s3 and didn't have that app backed up and wasn't able to get the app back on my phone through the play store because our phone is not officially supported...but then i found the newest .apk that worked after install again....and now all of a sudden it wont work and brings up a message that says you need to update to the latest software to use....was wondering if someone had another phone they could install and extract the apk from so i can install it....i don't have another phone to do it with....

Actually, I just checked Google Play and it says there's a new version: 1.3.5.

Because Paypal are jerks. I can't download the app from Play (phone not compatible) but it runs fine on my Xperia Go when I manually install the .apk.
I emailed Paypal and their response is "it's Google's fault for allowing different versions of Android and they can't be bothered to make it universal" and I got the feeling they prefer Apple's iPhones.
Just my (never) humble opinion.

This is just the standard Paypal app to pay people, not the Paypal here app to accept payments.

The latest release is 2.2.0, July 17, 2014. Supposedly available here http://www.1mobile.com/paypal-here-370914.html but what you download is NOT the PayPal Here apk. It appears to be a downloader app and who knows what kind of crap that could contain.
I don't put up with baloney like that on a PC, nor will I on a phone. Direct link to the actual APK thankyouverymuch!
I want it for my Galaxy Tab 3 tri-band on Sprint. I sideloaded the previous version on my sister's identical GT3, didn't work but yesterday it updated itself and works. She swiped her card through the reader and sent me $1. Store still says not compatible!
So I sideloaded that same APK onto my GT3 and I'm waiting, still waiting. No self update to 2.2.0.
Here is the latest 2.2.0. Works fine on my Nexus 7 2012, however the card reader does not work, its a hardware limitation and will never work.

Yesterday I used Titanium Backup to back up the PayPal Here 2.2.0 APK from my Photon Q and copied it to a desktop. Then I plugged the Galaxy Tab 3 into teh desktop to copy the APK to it so I could use ES Explorer to install it.
Still no joy. PPH refused to login because it could not see that I had location enabled. But when I toggled location off then back on, PPH would login.
The card reader should work on my GT3 tri band because it works on my sister's GT3 tri band, both on Sprint.
Thanks for posting the latest APK so people who can't get it at all will be able to, to try on their "not supported" devices to e if it actually will work.

I just realized this now with kitkat. I mostly use it on my phone rather than tablet though.
You could always try to install the apk separately

That's what I've just done. I got the PayPal apk from my Note 3 and installed it on my P600. The app works fine.
Hi all
So I'm running Los and haven't been able to update my Google Play store as possible for 3 weeks now.
I've tried removing the cache, deleting and re adding the Google profile, installing Gapps again, etc.
Any ideas? Is there an output log I can see of the app trying to update?

Because flash Gapps is not an official way to get Google Play Services from Google, they don't provide any update for custom ROM

I know but it was working earlier on in the month of Jan.
I wonder if a file download manager us getting g in the way and trying to handle the updates?

I am just using the default AppGallery, but I think Huawei is purposely Blocking the Google Play Store. I use FIREFOX.

I have the same problem too! I even tried to install google play service manually with latest apk files, but it doesn't work. Plus, I can't even use any google apps. Very frustrating. I tried to ask for help to the support, but they didn't care anything. Shame on Huawei, I would never buy Huawei devices anymore

The solution is to change your mediapad's firmware with no Chinese one. I downloaded mine from here: romfirmware.com/2017/08/03/huawei-mediapad-m2-8-0-m2-801w/
Definitely works. Wish you luck!
P.S. Bear in mind that you will loose all of your personal data and installed apps doing so. I recommend to backup your entire device and later to try to restore it on the new firmware - it is not so easy in my case but in the end it worked.

Yep I got the same problem. Update stopped google working.
I side loaded some things but Chrome worked for a short period and then stopped working again. I tied Opera and it was fine so only a Google thing.
I then attempted to flash older firmware and did something wrong as I completely hard-bricked my device. Fastboot mode works but no other mode works. I'll be posting a 'help please' elsewhere in the forums. Very f'ed off about it, but the downsides of buying off AliExpress, it's going to be Chinese firmware. Might go buy a Samsung form the shop down the road (sigh).
I updated to B217 and have the same problem that all Google things stop working.
After hours of searching I have successfully downgrade my M2-801W from B217 (EMUI 4, Android 6) to B019 (EMUI 3, Android 5).
Now all Google things work fine as before.
I will post the guide and the necessary files soon.

If you are in a hurry try the method I described. Plus mine EMUI is v.4.0, not 3.0 which I think is better.
