just so you know this is not the nsg4g forum i see by your sig you are in the right forum but the question doesn't belong here
I guess maybe you mean the modded NS4G modem for use with Sense ports from dev thread. Right thing to ask here, it's a .bin file and you have to use Odin to flash it over any ROM you currently have (search for a tutorial 'cuz it's plain easy)

If you odin an NS4G modem over any rom other than the ported sense roms, you're going to lose data... mods have to be done to make it work on other roms.....

Always has to be modem.bin, but you need kernel and system modifications first. Not sure its possible on stock roms but it is on my sense roms and will be on the cm builds I am working on.

Considering how big New York is, their might not be a clear answer. Best thing is to flash them one by one, and find out for yourself.
Since am also in NYC of them all that I've tested to be so called the "best" is the note radio uvlg3 then the newest uvlh5 blaze radio..

Sit on your couch. Download a few radios, get the signal strength app, flash a radio, check your dBm and download speeds.
This sort of thing varies for everyone and there is never a clear cut answer.

+1 also touchwiz roms tend to naturally have faster data speeds than aosp...just something to consider.

The radio included WILL work, you just won't get HSPA+. You'll only get EDGE.

You're suppose to flash a modem separately. Roms don't bring a modem with them.

you'll have data problems most likely using a jb modem on an aosp ROM.

OK I came over to the SG3 from the OG Epic on AOSP ROMs there was a sprint menu to update profile and prls. Any way to get it on the SG3. I have tried the sprint diagnostics from the gnex and it doesn't work like it did on the epic4g( I used the ns4g modem) with the epic4g
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Not a Sprint menu, but try System Settings>System Update. That's where you find PRL and Profile updates
I'm on hellybean and ether I'm blind or can't find it I have gone through all menus and there is not that option

Is Hellybean an aosp rom? if it is, you have to flash back to a TW rom update Profile and PRL then flash back to your aosp rom.

There are alternatives to flashing a PRL via Touchwiz. The method I use to manually change my PRL on an AOSP ROM can be found here. I find this much easier than restoring a TW ROM every time I wish to change my PRL.
Thanks I know how to do prls manually its the profile updates. Anyways what are the profiles for just sprint user names, apns ?
