same exact issue with Note 1 on 4.0.4. "success" .... but its not there. sure would like to know how to cleanup after

Same problem
Same here, It downloads but doesn't reboot to flash, Just says was installed successfully in a text box at bottom of screen, but when i boot to recovery its still the old version. I think we will have to manually flash for our notes! :crying:

Goo manager requires root which I think all of you have but its not a good app either just download the .zip files from the original goo.im site and flash them manually

Goo.im and rom manager and/or any such app sux imao.
Just download recovery.img or .tar and flash it with mobile odin or odin.
Mobile odin supports both.

Google play says the M Xt907 is compatible with Odin. other threads I read says it is not. Does any one use odin with razr m Xt907? thanks.

ROM Manager does not see CWM Recovery

Hi guys, new to rooting and android in general.
I have a GS3 with Videotron and I root the device with a older version of CWM.
I installed ROM manager but it always says that CWM Recovery is not installed on my device.
So I went ahead and updated CWM to the lastest version (Not touch), but I still have the same issue.
From what I saw our device should be supported by ROM Manager.
Is there something I am doing wrong ?
Thanks a lot !
how did you update cwm? I had to do it through Rom manager

I did it in console because ROM Manager says CWM is not installed, so I can't update.
It tells me I have the latest recovery but I have the touch recovery 4.8.4.5 or something... I installed through terminal though.

If I can't get Rom Manager to work the other way to backup is doing it from recovery directly ?
Thanks !
EDIT : I guess I should add that when I try the option Flash CWM Recovery my the Galaxy S3 is not in the device list.

My guess for this is that you have the T999V. I would think they woulda covered that when adding support for the s3, but maybe they missed it?
Check the cwm website and email them if you cant find confirmation of this either way.

Note ii won't boot into cwm, only stock recovery

Hello,
I was trying to flash a kernel but after some reboots I noticed that the phone won't boot in cwm but only in the stock recovery. I reflashed cwm through rom manager but nothing happened. I then tried to install twrp but again nothing happened. I was told that I have to delete 2 files inside system to make cwm stick but the files do not exist for a reason. Please help me guys!

I guess its for N7100 model, right? I just dont want to mess it up again.
Also in odin - no checkboxes should be ticked except "auto-reboot"?

Just click the link and download page will have file description, and I am sure you will find model number of device for which this recovery is.
For Odin
Option remains same as you flashing stock rom
You can find instructions in details on 1st post of 'all in one n7100' on my signature.

Goo manager, twrp.

I've been trying to download the newest twrp via goomanager. It just gets stuck at "please wait while we download.." Or something. It never downloads though. I dislike CWR. Anyway I can get twrp? Also I heard the newest version of it, is a bit buggy. Which is the most stable version? Thanks.

You can get a version that you can flash in Odin.
From that same place you can get a version that you can install with an App from Google Play called Flashify.
If you want to you Odin get the .tar version. If you want to use Flashify with the .img version.
This is the place to look...

The latest version seems to be fine. There were some issues but I think they resolved them.

Just to make sure I don't mess this up. I downloaded the .IMG on the link above. Now when I open flashify, it gives me three options. Flash : boot image, recovery image, and zip file. Which do I click? Recovery image, correct?
Might sound like a noob, but better to be safe than sorry.

[Q] Fail to boot after installing TWRP via GooManager

Hi,
as in the title - I tried to flash TWRP via GooManager. When I tried to get into recovery, it stacked at the samsung logo... i cant boot into recovery nor system. Download mode is the only option that works.
How to fix it?
phone: N7105
On download mode try to flash stock Samsung firmware using odin.
Damn... stock roms are uploaded mostly on hotfile.com, which is shut down...
I can't find any other mirror for Polish stock rom... Does anyone have it on the hard drive and could upload it? I would be greatfull...
Ok, I found stock rom. But now, I have bootloop... I'm downloading another stock rom and will see.
Any other ideas how to bring him life again?
