yea i doubt they will listen to me
im trying it now wish me luck
the most important thing usually is to change the ("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p14", "/system"); to the correct block which i did
(was ("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p9", "/system");
and the data as well.
as well as change out the boot.img and edit the build prop
the next part is the hard part. following this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069850
anyone feel free to throw your own thoughts in.

i like how in the first post he says to Port from AT&T/T-Mobile & Sprint S3 TW Roms to Verizon S3
yet only shows how to port from Sprint to Verizon then from Verizon to AT&T/T-mobile
but in theory it should work if you do the CDMA to GSM in reverse since the international version is GSM (correct me if im wrong) and the port would have to compensate for the lack of 2 cores since ours is dual core and not quad core

i think the boot.img is the kernel (someone correct me if im wrong).....so to make it boot so just pull the stock boot.img from stock ND8 then modify it to make it work with the port
so what happens if i use the boot.img from the i9000 on my L710?
first boot attempt, does not boot to boot animation, sits on Samsung logo with cyanogen man logo

Yes, that's correct. However, if it does not work try porting PA from another device like one of the other US S3s.

and in theory should work for the TW base as well since it refereed to a completely different device rom port to the s3 and did you read the guide line for line?

and idk but since you might have to change less on the boot.img from ND8 since all the values and stuff are already made to work on our phone and but it doesn't say which one to use since the porting is done with US Phone Roms but you'll have to search the other pages to see if anyone tried to port from the international versions
try switching some of the things that make the rom fully boot as well and see if that helps since the guy is porting US to US not international so there could be somethings that make to US version "tick" that won't work with the international rom and also the opposite way
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
edit: found this in their but its only one instance and not confirmed if working

Hero said:
Porting AOSP ROMs
================================ START ================================
What you need
7zip
Notepad++ (If on Windows)
An AOSP ROM you want to port
An AOSP ROM from your carrier/device
Make sure the ROM you want to port and the ROM you are using as a base are the same Android version (e.g. 4.1.1)
I will do the AOSP porting section with an example. Say I want to port Paranoid Android:
Download Paranoid Android (Android 4.2)
Download CM10.1 (Android 4.2)
Unzip both ROMs
In the CM 10.1 folder delete the following folders/files:
/system/framework
/system/app
/system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so
/system/media (optional)
/system/fonts (optional)
Add the following folders from the PA ROM into the CM10.1 ROM:
/system/framework
/system/app
/system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so
/system/media (only if you deleted from CM10.1)
/system/fonts (only if you deleted from CM10.1)
Only do the following if you are porting from GSM to CDMA or CDMA to GSM (i.e. Porting an AT&T ROM to Verizon)
Navigate to system/framework/ in both ROMs
Open framework-res.apk from both ROMs in 7zip
In framework-res.apk in both ROMs navigate to /res/xml/
Delete eri.xml
Replace the deleted eri.xml with the one from your base ROM
Save and close framework-res.apk
Re-zip and flash in recovery
================================ END ================================
If the ROM does not boot up, try a different ROM. For example, if you tried to port Paranoid Android 4.2 from AT&T and it didn't work. Try Paranoid Android from T-Mobile or the Galaxy Nexus, etc.

I understand this thread is all but dead, but lets get it going again.
Ive read the entire thread and its kind of funny that I had stumbled accross the very same guides to port ffrom gsm/gsm cdma/cdma gsm/cdma
BUT BUT BUT Im working on LP now.
Have any of you actually stuck with the guide to make it work? And can I possibly get some info of where you left off and what else needs to be done?
FYI I am trying to port from d2spr to d2att (CDMA/GSM)
AGAIN Im not i9300 I AM d2
