[FIXED] "Your Device Isn't Compatible with This Version" - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

IT IS WORKING NOW.
Quick background. I have the SPH-L900, but I am on Sprint's MVNO Ting. Before I activated it, I rooted it and downloaded several apps. Some of the apps are Paid apps, the others are free. During activation Ting asked if they could do a factory reset and I said yes. I never lost root, but lost all my personal information and my apps. Now the apps that I had successfully downloaded before, I cannot download now.
I do have Rom Manager Premium and Rom Toolbox Pro, if that will help solve my problem.
Be clear, because I am new to all this.
Oh, I did send an E-Mail to Cloud.TV for HD Widgets, but didn't get a reply.(2 days) Since I did pay, I hoped they would solve the problem for their app and maybe I could use that information to fix the rest.
Please help

Re: [Q] "Your Device Isn't Compatible with This Version"
I had the same problem and it turned out to be the dpi... make sure your build.prop has 320 dpi in both parts and clear cache
after you do this and install your apps you can revert to whatever dpi you want

It didn't work. I made sure the DPI is 320. (Yes, I had changed it to 280) I then used ROM Toolbox to wipe both caches. Rebooted and still got the error on the Play Store.

It is working now. The only thing I did, after trying everything in search, plus what reinaldistic suggested is to go to Settings and then to System Update. Then asking for an update for every choice they gave me.
I do not know if that is what worked or it was something else.

"Error Processing Purchase" message

I keep getting that damn error whenever I try to download an app from the play store, even when it's free. I fixed it once before by clearing the cache, data, and uninstalling updates of the market but I don't wanna have to do this Everytime I download an app. Anyone have a fix?

Log into your google account and check your wallet. There may be an issue with your payment method. If everything is fine, try deleting the app and then reinstalling the market. You can google "android market apk" to find it, or Google "google play apk". Download and install.
If that still doesn't solve, it could also just be the Google servers having an issue.

If I helped you, hit thanks! : )
This happened to me when my credit card on file expired.

might be a ROM issue
I have the same "error processing issue" problem. I often have to clear my market cache/data, which works sometimes. So I called google market play to see if there were any issues in my account, and the rep said there was none. His theory was that there might be some issues with the custom ROM (ARHD) I installed, since I only started having problems after I installed it. Anyway, I think the only solution for now is the clear cache data approach, or better yet, hope that our ROM builders are able to address the issue.
As an aside, my ARHD is working perfectly, except for this market issue (cum hoc, ergo propter hoc?)
I also have a custom rom installed and had this same issue, I resolved it by uninstalling updates for the google play store app, and then it worked...at least for now.
I recently started messing with various roms and themes when this issue popped up for me. I searched the web and tried the various methods (removing gmail account, not updating, etc) with little luck. After hours of frustration, I finally found out what was causing the issue.
I was using Titanium Backup to back up all my files and restore them as I was flashing between the various roms, that was the trouble maker.
When you back up your files before a flash, make sure you do not back up the google/play store. So, if you are having problems, try to go trough these steps and it should fix it.
Back up all your files (minus play store) in Titanium Backup.
Reboot phone into clockwork.
Reset Factory Data x3
Wipe Cache x3
Install your rom from zip
Once your phone is booted up again, do not enable Wifi (for now)
Do not add a Google Account
Go to the market and download Titanium (will prompt to add Google account, do so)
Exit the Market
Go back to the market (it should now have auto updated to play store)
Try to download another app, any app, it should work
You can now use Titanium to restore all your apps and data, but make sure that you do not restore anything with the market/play store in it.
I did this yesterday, restored all my games, contacts, text messages, etc and it has worked fine for me ever since.
I am running slickMOD Supreme with the Darkside Kernel.
Hope this helped at least a few of you as I know how big of a headache this was for me.
All is good now. However, it does still happen with a couple apps, free or paid. I can't remember which ones but it gives the processing purchase error. Very rare albeit still present.

Aloha;
Sounds like an ID mismatch here. Happens whenever you do a factory reset or change ROMs. I'm guessing that the ID is a hash of the phone and the ROM, maybe. Anyway, the device ID is what ties the phone to your Google account and apps use this to determine whether you paid for the installed app or run as a freeware version.
Titanium now offers the choice of reverting the id back to the old one or ignore the change. I prefer NOT to change the ID back as I've ran into more id mismatch problems down the road than just keeping the new ID. I too use Titanium to backup my apps and data, and use it to quickly restore my apps and data to a new installation on my phone (whether it be a factory reset or a new ROM, or even a reinstallation of the current ROM). Whenever I have a misbehaving app that reverts back to the freeware version or complains about licensing problems, I then uninstall the app and then reinstall the app directly from the Play Market. That has always fixed the problem for ME. Your Mileage May Vary, which mean while it works for me, it MAY not work for you. Keep that in mind before you start biatchin that it doesn't work.
Oh, yeah, also try rebooting after the reinstallation. If nothing else, Dalvik and Cache!

I've run into this a few times after doing a restore from a backup or swapping ROMs. Best way I can fix it is go to Google Services Framework, stop it, clear the data. Next go to Google Play, stop it. Uninstall any updates, then clear the data. Reboot phone. Go to Google Play again, accept terms, and now it should work. Just some advice.

Need help bypassing lockscreen E4GT AOKP

Today Google Play Store was giving me the message of app incompatible with device. I changed to DPI to the Nexus Setting (I think its 320 or something) and as soon as I hit reboot I realized the mistake I have just committed. I have a pin unlock and now the screen DPI is so off that I cannot enter my pin and get my device unlocked. I've looked at bypassing apps on the play store but I cant install onto my device since the google play store wont let me install many apps since they are incompatible. Is there anything else I can do to save me the trouble of wiping my phone?

why dont you just flash over the rom again and it will load up stock dpi settings and preserve your data and settings. The most you will have is apps back that you may have deleted... It will refash your build.prop

Glad it worked

Need build.prop from recent stock

So... I have been on a custom ROM for a while now. The ROM I have been using is great... unfortunately... I have been having constant problems on the market. Currently, I can go to the market on the web and it still lists my device from when it had the latest stock version. My issue is that now it is showing a TON of apps that are incompatible which is complete BS. I was able to get some of the APKs and had some from a titanium backup I had done previously... and they all work perfectly fine.
I did a wipe of market data and removed my account on my phone. I then rebooted, added my account, and started up the market. This fixed about half of the apps... but I still have a ton of apps showing incompatible.
To try and track down this issue... can someone post a build.prop from the latest stock build? I want to try some modifications to my build.prop to try and fix the issue. Currently, I am on the King Kang ROM (AOKP+Paranoid)
EDIT: Was able to restore my device ID from a backup from when I was running stock. I am now able to install things... though it worries me that the problem could re-occur as with its normal configuration it would prevent installation of some applications.

Did you ever change the DPI on your phone? That will make installing things from the market impossible unless you have a modded market.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
however it was set on this ROM is where it was initially and had problems. I changed with Paranoid but other than that no. After changing with Paranoid I can still DL most apps. Though... the DPI is pretty jacked immediately after flashing... its all set at like 320 default which is too large for almost anything. I have set it down to 200. Even though I still have it at 200 after restoring a device ID I can now install stuff again for now though.

Play Store doesn't work

I sold a friend of mine my Galaxy SPH-D710. It's rooted and has Calkulins last ROM. The phone works great except for one thing. It WILL not connect to the Play Store for him. I have tried everything except a complete wipe because he has all his stuff on it. I think it's because he associated it to his Google account (naturally) but it had/has some of my paid apps (like Titanium Backup Pro and Busybox pro and such) that he doesn't use. When you hit the Google Play icon it says, "you must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?". When you say yes it FCs. I'm trying to avoid a complete wipe and restore becasue it might restore the same problem and I'd hate for his data to be lost if something goes wrong.
Anyone have an idea?
You will probably have to force un install the play store then re install it. I am not sure where to find the APK to do that. I'd that doesn't work factory restore will need to be done.

If I'm not mistaken I believe you can download the latest playstore apk from Google. Just type it in and look for the latest apk..

Try going into app manager and google play then force stop, uninstall updates, and clear data. It should work again after that.

increse resolution in note 8

is it possible way to increase screen resolution in note 8 ?
Xposed Framework and PerAppHacking plugin.
You have the ability to set DPI to 220 and maximize resolution per app and system UI.
The trouble I had is some apps like Hulu will be difficult to register as they do not resize the registration screen. Had to register with laptop and setup the account.
Once done I just used an existing account to setup the app. Everything else looks and feels proper.
Why would you do this?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Change how fonts and icons look a well as application layout. Most apps are built round phones not tablets. So you can tweak the OS and applications to have a better look and feel. Though there is a limit to how far you go. You wont get true 240 dpi by just changing the resolution settings. What you are doing is forcing the apps to expect the higher resolution. Thus making some images seem slightly bigger or smaller depending on individual settings. System being set to high resolution, along with apps can be done, but it is a matter of user preference. A mix of sorts or just setting system to be set while all others are left alone. The nice thing is you can experiment to your liking and not have to worry about how to revert back, just disable the feature and reboot.
hello, I'm interested in doing a DPI change too.
It is because some apps that are available to my others devices are not for this tablet.
I've tried some apps to change DPI settings from store after having root and busybox installed.
It resulted soft brick with Samsung logo blinking :/
If I have to redo my choice, it should go to LG G pad instead of this Samsung Note 8.

If you're trying to download apps from the play store but getting a message about the device not being compatible, I believe you need an app called "Market Helper". I don't think changing DPI values will fix this.

Oh, thank you very much.
I've thought that the density/resolution was the main reason some apps are not compatible.
So I have installed Market Helper and yes, the app I wanted has been installed from Play Store.
But now, each time I reboot, I get this warning "UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable." with the window title "System UIDs Inconsistent" and only 1 button to click "I'm Feeling Lucky".
Hoping I don't have to wipe all my data, I'll try to wipe just Play stores ones.
Strange. IIRC 90% of the time this problem can be fixed by rebooting into recovery mode and selecting "fix permissions" under the advanced menu. (If using twrp as your recovery, I don't remember exactly where it is if using CWM recovery) Wiping the cache and dalvik cache in recovery may be worth trying as well.

I had reboot many times after having restored my device within Market Helper app.
The error message still remained, then I wiped cache and dalvik cache using TWRP.
As it didn't help, I ended up with formatting data too.
This time, it was good, the message gone.
But as I lost all my config, I reinstalled the ROM and restored apps (included the one I wanted from the Play Store and was not available for Note 8) from Titanium backup.
