Galaxy tab 3 10.1 refurbished

Hello everyone, hope someone can help me, I bought a refurbished galaxy tab 3 10.1 from ebay.
The tab runs smooth in general the trouble I find is that does not recognice my usb otg cables or keyboard, I have a galaxy s3 that does support usb otg and have tried 3 different ubs otg cables and a keyboard and none is recogniced by the tab but yes on the GSIII.
Today while trying to view a video from the chrome browser got a message html5: video file not found. so I tried the stock browser and while I don't get any message it doesn't plays the video.
¿can someone confirm if the usb otg is supported? and lecture me about the html5 issue.
or did I get a faulty unit.
Thanks and sorry for my english is not my native language.

Tab 3 with mouse, keyboard and ethernet via USB OTG.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 that I want to use ethernet, mouse and keyboard with to do remote desktop work. Is there anyway I can do this? I see that there's a Samsung USB LAN hub for the Note Pro/Tab Pro line of tablets but I'm wondering if this will work with the Tab 3.
If not i'm wondering if a hub can be connected to the tablet that would then allow the connecting of the usb mouse, keyboard and a usb ethernet adapter. These are the two products I'm currently looking at but im not sure if they are compatible.
Samsung Original LAN USB HUB Adapter (ET-UP900) for Galaxy Note Pro /Tab Pro
[3 Ports USB 3.0 + 1 Adapter ethernet] Unitek
I can't post links as yet. They can be easily found with a query in Amazon.

I am sure keyboard and mouse will work on otg cable as long as they got enough power (I have tried it) and for WLAN or Ethernet cables you will need to modded kernel to do it.
More info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705323 (its for p5210 though)

thanks Jack. Im using my older account that I just got access to. It allows me to post link so yeah Im the same as joeldean.I havent gotten a response from that person as yet. I was wondering if you know anyone willing to help me modify a Tab 3 kernel to add ASIX drivers. Based on my research the ASIX ethernet based adapters seem to be most compatible. I would even be willing to pay to get this done.

MHL 2.0

Hi all ,
Can you please help me to clarify a point about MHL versions and compatibility ?
Galaxy Note 3 supports MHL 2 and 11 pin connection and so does Galaxy Tab 3 with the same features...
Galaxy Note 3 fully works with EDD-S20EWEGSTD which is 11 pin and MHL 2 ; so as the compatibility is the same , can we sat that EDD-S20EWEGSTD should run with Galaxy Tab 3 ?
EDD-S20EWEGSTD is as on the attached image...
Warm regards and a happy new year.
Problem solved...
In case anyone interested, the issue is the length of the male socket...the mhl extension cable from usbfirewire.com has been the solution
