I just wanted SMS from my Wave transferred to my Android phone (Motorola Atrix 2), Not on our Androbada.
I managed to back it up with KEIS 2. Restored it on Samsung Galaxy S Advance and then backed it up with Super Backup and then restored it on my Motorola Atrix 2!! :victory:

Hi !
I tryed playing in my cell phone to see where i could setup the folder where i would like to save the voice notes files on my cell.
They're always saved on the cellphone memory, but i would need to save it on the storage card memory since i have much more space and would like to record my classes !
Anyone has any tips or where to go for this ?
Thanx for helping a noob that is in love with his cellphone
hrm...thats a good question...i wasnt able to do it.. i didnt go digging too deep in the registry though...if you want a simple solution, pm me and ill give you some different software that you can install, where saving the voice note to your card is an option. if you dont want to do that, im sure one of the guys will be along to troubleshoot...
Yeah, i would like to have another program that does the same thing !

Hi,
I am looking to find a simple utility that would send a pre-defined Birthday / Anniversary sms to my contact based on the dates already available in Windows Mobile Contact information.
I have tried searching on this forum and on the net but to no luck. Does anyone know of any such software. The closest I could get was RJ SMS Scheduler but it requires us to feed in a schedule. I wish to find something that can look up the contact list and pick dates itself.
Thanks,
Umesh

Message taken! you could say I am lazy, unintentionally though, mostly due to lack of time. Intentionally, I would like not to miss a single event of the 400+ contacts I have on my phone list.
Can only imagine how glad they would be to hear from me on their special days and how happy I would be to know that I would never miss any good wishes for any of my good friends.

I checked this software but it is quite similar to so many others available on net. It requires us to set up a schedule to send the sms to particular contacts.
Instead I am suggesting the app could pick dates itself from the Window Mobile's Contact List and send sms from templates, we create and save in there. This way we do not have to add birthdates / anniversaries to Contact List and then set up another scheduled sms through a third party application for our purpose.
I hope I have managed to explain what I am looking for.
Thanks,
Umesh.
Ah, I see what you're asking for now. I don't know of anything that can do that, but it would be a good idea!
Any thoughts from anyone else to share knowledge of such an application ?
Thanks.
Not that easy
I'm looking for such application since a long time, but no luck. The application should also consider the following requirements:
MUST HAVE:
- choose the correct phone number, cuz the text messages should be sent only if a mobile number is available for the specific contact;
NICE TO HAVE:
- built the text message with a variable string where automatically should put the name of the contact;
- should have the possiblity of exclude some contacts from the auto-SMS in order to avoid sending the pre-configured SMS to your girlfriend for example
Will see if someone can manage it in the future.
P.S.: I have more that 400 birthday to remember
Ciao!

Thanks Mohit for putting this together. I've set it on my system though had some issues with display on Touch HD but was able to use the controls and set it up. Couple of questions that I had in mind -
1. Does it have to be left running at all times or can I at least shove it off my running task list.
2. Every time I add a new contact and his / her birthday do I have to update this software too to add the new contact to it's list.
But otherwise it seems to be a nice piece of work.
Thanks,
Umesh.

Hi Umesh,
Thanks,
well no need to keep it running as i am using notification que to run it at the designated time. like an alarm. so u can just exit after setting up every thing from options->save n exit
and about updating new contact u just need to open the app and click options-> "add contacts bday", it will automatically fetch the new one and update it. also it will remember the last message u had set up.
When Your Not Flashing A New Rom On Your TP2.....What Do You Often Do On Your Phone? Better Yet What Are You Doing Right Now.
absolutely nothing.
just updated to wm6.5, t-mo usa. so far so good.
pressing my thumb into it gently watchin my smooth arse rom respond to my touch..
oh and moved you're thread over to general since this isn't really rom dev material.
trying to figure out how when i get a text message notification and hit reply instead of bringing me to default winmo messing client to bring me to htc messaging client very annoying lol
Thanks. I Realized That Was More Of A General Question Than A Rom Section Question.
Listening to music and getting ready for the next flash lol
right now im replying on this thread and tryin to get swype to work.
otherwise browsin the net, calls, sms, calender, sky remote record, email, tomtom, alarm clock, photos, watchin downloaded tv with coreplayer without needin to re-encode.

haha, i was about to ask a similar question, what do you do to keep the spark in the relationship between you and your phone? i've upgraded from a raphael and apart from the hardware differences, its still windows mobile, so the WOW factor of having a new device kind of dies off quickly because you keep doing what you were doing with your previous device.
I just went through the "What do you have installed on your device" thread and picked up a couple apps that i previously didn't know about. Other than that, still looking to put the spark back in our relationship before it gets mundane.

Whats Going On With Your Swype???
I´m doing with my Rhodium...
Right now and after making a ROM tour (7) got back to me favourite: Energy Photon2!
Finished configuring all my stuff and ready to play NFS to relax
Guys don't forget to vote for Rhodium!!
Being quite cranky because I am very experienced and old and still being called a junior member.
And my AT&T Tilt 2 is a dog.

It wouldn't launch for some reason. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. I haven't really tried to use it enough to figure out why.

No, that's perfectly fine...just please don't move around too much like that or you'll end up crotch-dialing somebody, and that's always difficult to explain.

Roughly in the same boat as you. I had a Raphael and was swooned by the Tilt 2's screen and keyboard. I d/l Energy ROMs and try to get Sense 2.5 to function as best as possible on the Tilt 2 (I love the ROMs and appreciate all his dedication and work, don't get me wrong). Right now I'm trying to get Facebook contact images to show up when people call (it reverts to the Outlook contact photo). I attempt to get a decent GPS lock and also look for games that run well. It's a constant battle to get things functioning nicely. AND I know that Sense 2.1 runs nicely and I brought this all upon myself.
I was finally able to find something that would root my Epic 4g (not touch) . Its called vroot. Im looking for a couple of apps and have been searching for awhile, maybe there arent any but..... 1 is for screenshots. I was never able to do that. The 2nd is a texting app that will tell me when my text was read, but something the other person doesnt to download. I know its sounds weird to want to know if your text was read......but when you have a teenager who always uses the line.... I didnt see your text.....
anyway.....does anyone know of any apps that would help me?
also.....im new to this rooting. Is there anything else I need to do? I used a one click method.
Thank you for any help.
P.S. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. Again I'm new at this and I find it very confusing...lol

In Cyanogenmod v10.1 in the stock Messaging app there is a setting "Request a read report for each message you send". I've never used it and have no idea how it works but I thought I would mention it.

Oops.. I just noticed that this "request read report for each message you send" applies only to MMS messages. Not SMS.
So if you're still looking for this feature then you'll want to find an SMS/MMS app that will do this for MMS messages because it probably can't be done for SMS.
In order to ensure the text is sent as MMS you would have to send an attachment. MMS also require a solid data connection.
So, I'm making the switch. I understand that WhatsApp on the iPhone and Android do not share backups (iCloud v Google Drive). What's the best way to migrate my 3 GB of WA data (text, images, video) for my soon to arrive Pixel 3 XL? I know that WhatsApp says it can't be done but I seem to recall several articles about extracting from an iTune backup and using some software t reconstruct on Android. I also think that Dr Fone claims to do this. Anyone have success? I sure a number of you have made a similar switch and could help me better understand what's ahead. Thanks.
pretty sure you can upload your photos and videos to google photos and then have them download on the pixel (assuming the iphone saves the photos and videos to the gallery)
another limitation of iphones... on android you can literally copy and paste.

Thanks. I'm hoping that I can retain the conversation strings with the media embedded. Dr Fone software claims to support this. I also have read about a more complicated process using Wazzap Migrator and an unencrypted iTunes backup. I'm still hoping that someone here has actually done this and can advise.
Haven't tried it myself, but this seems like a recent way to do it:

Thanks . . . That's the method that uses WazzapMigrator. I'm guessing that's what I'll try first.
Good luck!
Never had any luck with this whenever I was using an iPhone for work and moved to android. Had to start from scratch
