I have been using MIUI 2.11.9 for my SAMSUNG i747. I was extremely happy with MIUI except for the bluetooth issue:
I have been using the previous AT&T stock version (Android 4.0), the bluetooth connection with my car can always stick. However, after I flashed to MIUI, the bluetooth connection will drop after several minutes' inactivity. I will have to turn the phone back on and reset the bluetooth to let them connected again.
Please give me some help! I have been googled and searched and couldn't find any solution. Does this mean it cannot be solved? Is this a Jelly bean problem or ROM problem? Is it possible to fix it?
Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

There's a MIUI update: 3.1.11. Perhaps that will fix your issue.

Thanks, but I have already updated the newest version yesterday. (3.1.11 is not available for i747, it's only for 9300) It was still behaving the same today.

That's my bad, I did mean 4.2.1 - Altought, hadn't noticed that MIUI is on 4.1. In which, BT is supposed to be fine.
Either way, am I wrong or 3.1.11 is out? Pretty sure that's the thread I linked.

I tested recently and found it's related with "sleep" in the phone. Is there any way to set the bluetooth stay on while the phone is sleeping? Or is it possible to set the longer wait time for "sleeping", right now, the longest time is 10minutes in this ROM.
Thanks!!

You could use a app like Tasker to tell it not to go in sleep mode when BT is on.

Hello people.
I have an issue. I have installed the paranoidandroid jelly bean Rom on my HTC Desire. everything works except of WiFi. I have tried different Jelly Bean ROMs and I got this problem on every one of them. WiFi works perfectly if my SIM card is out, but if I insert it back, WiFi stops working. It still sees my router, but can't connect to it. I have tried the "FXR WiFi fix and rescue", but it does't work. Also, after some time of using all the Jelly Bean ROMs, Settings start to crash. As it appears, this only happens if WiFi is on.
And the last thing, I'm from Tbilisi, Georgia. Not from USA. I think it's the WiFi regional issue, or something like that... On ICS Wififixer worked fine, but not on Jelly Bean.
Please, help me and thanks for reading!

I'm having exact same issue plus bluetooth not working at all, wont even turn on.
Same radio as tomatoes20xx.
Did you found some fix???
Please all devs, there must be some obsolete problem.
By the way, on ics and gb wifi works perfectly.
I've got a huge problem with my WIFI setting. The toggle to turn it on/off is greyed out. Has anyone experienced this?
Which version of ROM / Kernel are you using?
I don't particularly remember having this issue, but could it be a Radio problem?
This is hardware problem, read these topics:

I'm running ParanoidAndroid 2.99.Pie6, which is 4.2.1. I switched from LK 5.8.2 to FrancoKernel 364 because I thought it was a Kernel issue, but to no avail.
The last thing I did in WIFI setting was turning off the "Network Notification - Notify me when an open network is available".
I have another GNex with AOKP JB Build1 (4.2.1) and that's on WIFI all the time (no SIM) and it's been going just fine. Knock on wood.

Did you get this issue while using JB 4.2.1 or just after upgrading/flashing/updating to a 4.2.1 ROM?
Thanks for the info. I do think it's a hardware issue, given how sudden the connection just stopped.
Hello! I know this is a common thread, but i'm desperate!
My GPS is not locking at all, i left the phone for 10 to 20 minutes and i got nothing...
I'm using the CM10.1 MoDaCo ROM, but i tried so many ROMS, fixed configuration files, walkthroughs, etc, but none of them seem to work.
I'll list all the methods that i try so far.
1) Flash a fixed configuration file
2) Change the ROM: i tried with the stock 4.2.2, CM10, CM10.1 Nightlies, CM10.1 Experimental, MoDaCo CM10.1
3) Flash different radios. I live in Chile, so i tried UGLL1 and UGKL1
4) Clear data of Google Services Framework, restart, etc
5) Used FasterGPS to set my location in the right area
6) Used GPS Status to improve AGPS
7) Change the build.prop file
I tried every method and the combination of them, but nothing has worked for me so far....
The GPS is very important for me because i use it to track my rides with Strava, and since the GPS is not working, i cannot start the application...
I really need help...
I use a Galaxy Nexus Maguro without Wallet and live in Chile. I cannot tell exactly when the GPS started to fail, but at least in the stock 4.1.2 it was working perfect, so i guess it started failing when i updated to CM10 and then to CM10.1.....
Ok try this if you haven't.
In settings turn off all location. Reboot
Make sure location reporting is still off.
Clear data on Maps force stop maps
Reboot
Clear data on maps and force stop again
Enable location
Get gps lock with maps or easy gps.
Might not work but I have had your same problem and this fixed it .... good luck

Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately i've already tried this method with no succeed. I tried again but it didn't work...
Thanks anyway, i'm going to try to roll back to stock 4.1 (because the GPS was working with that version)
and if it really works i'm going to upgrade to 4.2 to see if i can find the error...
If someone else can give me a solution i'll appreciate it!

I already tried, but with Android 4.2.2 and it didn't work.
Before i flashed the 4.2.2 i was using stock 4.1 without problems, so i believe, and hope, that this is a software issue in the 4.2.2 update...
I'm going to try it now and i let you know.

Well, i returned to Stock Android 4.1.2 using Fastboot, but the GPS didn't work either... So i updated via OTA to 4.2.2 and the GPS didn't worked again...
But i noticed that the Nexus S belonging to my sister, wich uses CyanogenMod 10, is not working either!
So i have a doubt now: Is it possible that CyanogenMod could have ruined our GPSs? If i erased everything via fastboot, is it possible that some remains of CyanogenMod could still be breaking my GPS? Or are our GPSs, strangely, broken at the same time?!
Please Help!!!

If you've flashed the Google factory image, you have an active sim card with data connection, and gps does not work, then you have a hardware problem.

Out of my realm of expertise, but I imagine the sirf chipset is not user serviceable. Your best bet would be Samsung factory service. I'm sorry.
Well, after giving up on trying to solve my GPS problem, it fixed itself.... i know that sounds weird, but the only thing that i did was update the CM10.1 to the latest RC2 and the problem was fixed, at least partially. Now it can find some satellites and it takes like 100 seconds.
The Gnex GPS isn't the best one, so it behaves a little weird some times, but at least is fixed now...
I really don't know what could be the problem, because i tried with almost any Rom, officials and no-officials...
Finally, the CM10.1 RC2 fixed my problem, hope this could help someone else.
Enable wifi & mobile network location in settings
Should be some code in 4.2.2 that prevents you from getting AGPS data if you disable the said option.

The problem is fixed now, but i tried everything, from rolling back to 4.1 official to 4.2.2 official, CM9, CM10, CM10.1, AOKP, etc. So i really don't know what could be the problem. I also tried the solution that you told me, but that didn't work either.
Right now, with CM10.1 RC2 my GPS is working great and i'm able to use Strava again.
I've been having the same issue. I'm running a Stock Verizon Galaxy Nexus, on my third one now. I have tried everything from apps, to resets, to disconnecting the gps, and nothing seems to work. Cold start gps can take up to 20 minutes outdoors with a clear view of the sky if you don't have current agps data. Thereafter, you should have quick starts for a day or two.
Is your data working properly? Do you have sync settings turned off?

And you have certified that all the gps settings/permissions are turned on? Even in the Google settings app?
Since you are stock, it might be helpful for diagnosis to preform a factory reset.
Edit - I see on another thread that you have already performed a factory reset. Next step would be to flash the factory image and see if that helps.

Thanks, I'll have to look up and see how to do that without root and boot loader unlocked, this is my third Galaxy Nexus from Verizon, they keep replacing it and I keep having the same issue
And yes all setting have been turned on, kind of driving me nuts
I'm sorry for you. it must be very frustrating.
As far as flashing an official factory image, I think you can do it unlocked if you have adb set up. Or use a toolkit, unlock, flash factory, relock (or not, why not keep it unlocked?)
Hey guys,
I got tired of the Bluetooth headset issue stopping me from using cm10.1 as my daily driver on long car rides. So here is a temporary fix I made by reverting these two commits and rebuilding the CM kernel.
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-...e1dd464b1e5aba74f7293c5e18f#drivers/bluetooth
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-...49e0a49c9d90f2bafbf08822863#drivers/bluetooth
The official bug report can be found here, https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-518. If you are affected by this please head over and vote for it.
This is a temporary fix until CM patches the bug. I haven't had the time to really test the impacts of the reverting but it does cause a wake lock when BT is on. When I find time I'm going to look into fixing the removed code instead of simply removing it. Any other dev is welcome to pitch in. Current work on this project can be found here, https://github.com/nexwave-mat/lge-kernel-iproj/tree/cm-10.1-bluefix.
Usual policies apply. This is a WIP and I do not take any responsibility for problems resulting from its use.

For those flashing WIND kernel along with this fix, make sure you flash the fix after flashing WIND and not the other way around because, correct me if im wrong, flashing WIND over the fix will overwrite the BT commits.

Full stock would imply without Wind. For that matter, and sorry if I wasn't clear, the fix is a custom build kernel. It replaces Wind or any other kernel currently on the device. The only changes between my "fix" kernel and stock are the two reverted commits in the OP.
If time permits I will look into it more and come up with a better solution. Although I read in an other post that @rmcc might be looking into this issue shortly. Although nothing is for sure...

Yes it works well. I just turn off BT when done using and reset phone to stop battery drain. Text messaging over BT does not work but other than that it stays on and connected.

Official CM patch
It seams there was a patch for our Bluetooth issue merge into the CM kernel a short while ago, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2140790&page=27#269.
@lyfkevin correct me if I'm wrong but I thing it would be better to revert your current Bluetooth fixes and merge CM's patch for version 2.0 of your WIND kernel. In theory it should stop crashes and allow deep sleep with BT on. Now we just need to test it. Let me know if and when you will have a new build up and I will gladly test it out.

I just added a comment to the CYAN-518 that might explain some of the issues, or perhaps an additional bluetooth issue in cyanogen.
Just a quick note, I'm running the nightly 5/11 (day after the RC2 release). I'm able to connect to my Bluetooth portable speaker no problem and also I have a Sensordrone bluetooth device (multiple environment meters in one) and no issues connecting with that either.
...Previously I had the 5/6 nightly and it didn't even "see" any bluetooth devices.

Ok so in the past hour I've noticed that my phone has disconnected from my wifi a few times. It does connect straight away however when I try to load a page it won't load and I have to wait a little while longer until it works again.

Yeah I'm having the same issue with my home's wifi.
Doesn't seem to occure at work though(or maybe I haven't noticed it since I do work there).

Yes I am too. I made another thread asking if people knew if the 9190, 9192 and 9195 have different wifi antennas. I am really bummed out over this.
Can you describe the wifi issue you have? What FM are you running?
No Wifi issues here.
So I did have issues, but that was the fail of Xposed-Framework, without that framework, there is no problem.
As a matter of fact you are able to stop the Wifi Power Safe Mode und the Service Mod (*#0011#) ... That stops a lot of Issues
