Why don't you use heimdall, unlike Odin it is cross platform and works on Mac but I have never used it personally. It is said to have same capabilities as Odin. Here is a link to it.

I have a Galaxy S3 with AT&T. I tried rooting it with Odin and CF-Root v6.4 and it did not work. Now all the phone shows is, Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again. I can not seem to get in to download mode anymore and Kies does not connect to the phone. Could anyone help me with get this fixed?
Thanks
Cf root is for i9300 (international). So you flashed something from the wrong phone. See post in development thread on how to unbrick from flashing i9300 firmware.

Read the directions in the post, and once you're done and on rooted EL29, use the "Auto Root Package" in that same post to Unroot (assuming you want to be unrooted... if not just leave it be)

I am talking about this to unroot -
[ROOT][NCIQ][EG30/EG31/EK02] Auto root your existing stock ROM (w/o ODIN/ROM Flash)
The autoroot package has option to unroot. It is option b. Follow the steps from there.
And please read the original post in both threads. Its in there.

You can use Odin to put CWM to ur phone, then flash Super user. All those files and step by step guideline is available as sticky notes in our forum.

I'm trying to root my new Note 2 with Build AMC2. It looks like Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Toolkit 4.1 doesn't support this build and that I need 4.2.5. Does anyone know where I can find it?
Thanks.
first off the toolkit is in a sticky and not to mention it does support mc2. Plus there is any easier one click method that will flash you to stock with root and mc2.

I did clearly you didnt. He said that it doesnt support but it does because it should be number 92 in the toolkit menu to root it so I do know it supports it.
but why would he go through all that trouble vs the one click method that does it all for him much easier and better user friendly.

On my Note2 Toolkit, #92 is
Code:
SPRINT MODEL [SPH-L900]
91. Android 4.1.1 [Build ALJ1-ALJC]
92. Android 4.1.2 [Build AMA7]
LostSoul, do you have a different version of 4.1 that supports AMC2? If so, please send me a link.
Thanks for your help.

There's no 4.2.2 tw for sprint at all so you shouldn't flash any of them unless they are in this dev section of the forums. Also Q&A is the right section for this

If you can enter to download mode then flash the stock tar.md5 via Odin.
You can find all stock tar.md5 in http://rwilco12.com/downloads.php?dir=Files/Devices/Samsung Galaxy S3 (SPH-L710)/Stock ROMs/JB
