Honestly I have no idea because I haven't tried, but here is Ubuntu..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730546
EDIT: Looks like what I linked is unofficial. I have been reading about official Ubuntu on gnex and thought it was out already, but it appears it will be release the end of February. So you prob wanna wait until next month when the official Ubuntu mobile OS is released publicly for gnex.

EDIT2: Here is this too.

None are daily drivers, but have some faith.
To give you another one, openWebOS.

windows phone 7 for LG KS20?

Does anyone know that Windows phone 7 compatible with LG KS20 ?
I am really happy when have some news.
Not to sure if they've been made official yet, but the minimum specs for phone 7 are very high end, and include specialised hardware buttons. I'm not sure any device meets the specs so I wouldn't hold you're breath.

No phone will be able to be upgraded from WM6.x to WP7.
Nope...
I doubt it... Just get a theme or shell... And uhm... i think our devices should be able to run wp7 apps anyway..

You have the same amount of luck having iOS ported to your phone as you do WP7.

USB Host does nothing? :(

So my USB host wire came today! i plugged in my flash drive and nothing... No messages no LED lights... nothing.... I tried plugging in a keyboard and nothing happen either... I am using calkulins e4gt 2.9. I tried looking in the ROM's thread with the search feature I found someone asking the same question but no replies...
Does anyone have any ideas?
who said usb host was working?
USB host support has not been included in any ROMs/kernels as of today. hopefully some devs start to take an interest (like jamcar, who is trying to get it working on his DARKSTAR rom) but DO NOT pester the devs for this tho, if you ask once and it goes ignored, leave it.

if by stock firmware you mean Android 2.3.x i dont believe so - it was only working with the initial stock firmware for the int'l version at release then for whatever reason Samsung decided to disable the feature and every update after that had it disabled. but from conversing with jamcar:

it seems much more likely that with all the buzz and releases/tune ups for ics roms, some devs might add the necessary drivers/etc to wake it up
and yet his 4.0.3 based rom doesnt have it

afaik, hes the only one trying to incorporate it. and for that he gets props
I thought usb host would have to be enabled by the kernel not just the rom. Such as how it works on the tmobile version by flashing a custom recovery kernel. Darkstar rom might support it, but it has to be done in the kernel also, but I may be wrong.
I hate when they have a feature then take it away.... WTF is the reasoning behind it?! people would buy less Samsung laptops or something?! Arg... Now i wish i went with another brand...

i actually think its the other way around. according to jamcar, its already present in the kernel. and i think because he saw that, he thought it would already be supported in his rom when it evidently is not (dont mean to put so much pressure on him)

To shed some light on this situation the international galaxy s2 has had this feature from day 1. It was also used in the marketing of the s2 as a feature Samsung was proud of. Long story short sprint had Samsung pull it from our device. I have no info as to why Sprint had them do this. Kind of like how Sprint had them pull the nfc chip without any explanation i guess...

No you cant use a gsm kernel on a cdma phone but the usb host code is a part of android since honeycomb. ICS has it too. Hopefully it will get re-enabled once we have a stable ICS OTA.

Unnoficial port

Is there any developer that tries to port android wear 2.0 to this smartwatch?
I Will be so Glad if somebody tries that...
I've had recently the chance to try the latest AW 2.0 beta on a LG Urbane 2nd Ed. LTE. From what I've observed there, Android Pay refuses to function if it detects a custom rom, or in general any rom which has not been digitally signed by Google. That makes, at least for me, any unofficial port of AW 2.0 to the SW3 moot.

I wouldn't even want to pay with my gadgets and where I live, it's not wide spread anyway. I would still like to have aw2 posted though. Different people, different opinions
Dont think its possible. AW is not open source and we still need drivers and stuff. Correct me if im wrong ( based on facts).

The Play Store would suffice, considering that I'm using an iPhone with it.
I think that is posible.
Developers did It with gear 2, that isnt wear.
If they can do It with gear 2, we can do It with sw3

Yes it's possible and yes I will try it. But I am sure SafetyNet things won't work as the ROM definitely won't pass CTS but that's only ****in Android Pay which doesn't work then
Sources are there (thanks AsteroidOS and protodevanov) and we can use the same steps like compile ROM for a phone as the SW3 is nothing else than a Device with an SoC like a phone have.
We maybe just need to extract some blobs from latest FW (1.5.2) and it could be theoretically possible that security patches are backstabbed to November or August but that's not a problem as December patch was more a SafetyNet patch than something else (so it's more a patch to **** you flashaholics).
But honestly who wants to hack your watch
So all in all its possible, maybe we can compile the Preview in time only but better than nothing
Your PDesire
sounds good that you'retrying to make a 2.0 rom for our watch!
according to the petition on change.org ( https://www.change.org/p/sony-android-wear-2-on-sony-smartwatch-3) there might be some people using your rom if you're really able to make one
Android pay in the watch won't work, but will if affect using NFC on the phone if that watch is connected to it?

I am aware of that but that does not mean it is impossible to port it. If it's out for the Google phones, it can be run on any phone, with enough tweaking.

You can have, so far, a fair number of treble GSIs to be flashed. It's a good start.
It would be far way better to get a good kernel development, IMHO.
Lets hope for a official one!

Looking at the threads related to treble stuff, onscreen FP seems to be a common issue, even if it could vary device by device. Same for camera (Gcam ports wise) and other minor bugs. If you are looking for some AOSP, at the moment GSIs are the only option available.
You must check for some development of sd710/712 devices to understand if some porting/development could be operated in a short while.
This phone has just been released in Europe. Should it be necessary to share a third-party system after a few months?

Relax, man. First, buying the device is not very easy in Brazil, I heard. Second, after buying the device, the dev (as everyone) needs to wait 1-1,5 or even 2 weeks until he can unlock bootloader. So maybe he has not even unlocked bootloader yet and you already panic.
As said above, it had been made a fundraising for a developer from pixel experience to buy the Mi 9 SE and build a rom for it. The goal was reached on 06/26, so the development may already have started or he's waiting for the device to arrive or unlock bootloader. We soon should see the first builds I guess. Let's wait a bit.
any news for this ? like "developer already got the device and are waiting for unlocking keys" or "developer is working on PE" ? anything ??

It took me a month, since I ordered my phone, to get it ready for custom roms.

I really wish there was a non MIUI stable, fully working custom rom out there. I tried the available options. But, for now, Xiaomi.eu 9.6.27 + Okita kernel (+ Debloater tool) remais the best combination for me.
