I've switched many times between the Nexus 4 and Note 2. I love the note 2 but am wondering if there is and kind of fix for photo orientation. I had a Iphone and take pics in portrait mode. The Nexus 4 acts the same. The Note 2 rotates the photo into landscape when I send a photo. Is there a mod out there besides editing in photo editor? Thanks

Just upgraded to 4.1.2 and noticed that the thumbs in the gallery are very blurry. Anyone else?
Care to share a screen shot?

Is that your 1st time viewing the gallery since you upgraded?
The stock gallery is utter crap. I stopped using it from the moment they introduced it in the first Note2 android update.
Use Sony's Album or Gallery JB+ from the market.
Maybe yes ihave the same feeling . Have you also updated with odin without wipe?
Found out what's the problem : the thumbnails are sized to be seen in landscape mode. In landscape mode the folder's column is on the left and the pics thumbs are lined up in 4 columns. In portrait mode the same thumbs are used, but this time in a single column. The small image are enlarged to fit the wider size of the column, thus they look blurry. If you look at the thumbs in landscape mode they are perfect, when you look at them in portrait mode they are blurry. Samsung should have made the thumbs the size of the one column view and use the same one smallered in landscape view .

My note 2 won't let me sketch in s note in landscape.... Why? Thoughts? On 4.1.1 stock
That is to say, it won't display a full landscape screen in s note. Keeps the portrait style instead of full
No one else has this?

Nope. In fact, you won't find landscape mode in the S-Note app on Galaxy Note 2. The best solution would be to rotate the device as you would normally and zoom in to emulate the landscape mode.
Hey everyone. I notice on the note 2 you cant really drag a scroll bar in the gallery or anything. Is there a way I can? 2500 photos takes awhile to get to bottom. Im on vacation and using my phone as the camera. Any quicker way to scroll in photos?

Download a new gallery app. QuickPic would be one of the better, if not the best, alternatives out there.
It has a thumbscroll at the right of the screen. If you sort picture by date, it even displays the date the pictures are taken as you thumbscroll.

Do you tend to hold your Nexus in portrait orientation or landscape?

Seriously, who uses it in landscape, except for video. That's just weird.
Agreed. I use portrait if I'm watching something or in rare occasions want to read something in landscape. It's too hard to type in landscape.

I use mine mostly for watching videos and surfing the net so it's always in landscape mode.
Interesting. I came from a 10 inch tab that was setup for landscape. I grew accustomed to it and carried it over to the Nexus. Now holding it in portrait seems weird. .
Landscape ... Potrait us way too wierd.....

I bought my Note 7 on August 19, the release day in the U.S. With that phone I was able to take panoramic photos and upload them to Facebook, where the viewer could pan through them from side to side using the mouse.
Since that phone was recalled, my new Note 7 unit works differently. My panoramic photos are still noted as panoramic on the phone, but when I upload one to FB, it displays all at once, thin top-to-bottom and the entire width showing. Viewers cannot pan through them using the mouse.
Viewing the pictures on the phone with the Gallery, the original panoramic photos display the globe icon on them, meaning that they are panoramas. But panoramas taken with my new phone don't display the globe symbol (in gallery mode), though they do display a panorama symbol when the photo is viewed in single-picture mode.
I seem to remember there being two panorama-type photo modes on my original phone: one that let me pan left to right (as I can now with the new unit), and one that let me pan left, right, up, and down. This new unit doesn't offer a mode that lets me pan in all four directions; that photo mode seems to be missing.
I don't recall if I used that missing mode to capture the original panoramas or not, however.
Can anyone confirm what I remember about the missing panorama mode? Does anyone with a new unit have both modes?
Could you have been using Surround Shot?
Surround Shot, that was it! Big thanks.
