Hello Sir,
I'm a HTC ONE X user, with CID HTC__621, last month my phone got updated with JB 4.1.1.
Now I'm trying to sync my phone with my pc, HTC sync Manager is opening but my phone is not getting complete sync.
I can't transfer my data to my pc or vice verse.
So, Kindly help me.
Thanks,
update your HTC drivers to the new version
I too am having the same problem and yet in device manager it's telling me that both the phone's drivers and the 'my htc' drivers are the latest version. Can you expand on what the 'new' HTC drivers are please?

Hello, i downloaded android-sdk_r08-windows and then ran 'sdk manager' but i dont know what to do next. Can anyone help me?
Install the ADB Tools kit from the list of available packages
I downloaded 'android SDK tool, revision 8' is this the one?
That's the one. Bare in mind the actual adb app won't be in /tools as guides say it will be - it'll now be in /tools/platform-tools
Seems Google changed it's location
WHen i connect desire it asks me for driver, what should i select? Pls bear with me, im new with htc phones
still waiting for reply....can anyone help me?
You need HTC Desire Drivers, try installing HTC Sync. Here are the ADB Drivers.

HTC Sync is compatible with all HTC devices, it's just that the Desire has problems connecting with the new version Sync. Use the HTC Sync that came with your phone (on the SD Card).

Thanks, just one more qustion will HTC Sync on my SD card work with Desire Wildfire also? I know this is not the right section but need to know. Also, can i use the driver you provided for Wildfire also?
HTC Sync & ADB drivers should work with Wildfire. Device drivers are installed using Sync.

Hi,
Im looking at selling my desire and need to unroot it.
I have download a tmobile RUU, tried to run it but i always get
the
error 170 - usb connected failed.
I have htc synced installed on my pc, it sees my desire and comes up with normal stuff, and on my phone it says connected.
Im on hboot 0.93 , android 2.3.3 software version 3.14.405.1
its a t mobile branded desire. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks
Phil
found solution - 2 infact.
Firstly i could do it straight from bootloader menu, (i.e. load up into bootload, plug in usb then work)
And for htc sync i just unistalled and reinstalled and worked.
So here's my situation:
I'm trying to unlock, root, and flash my friend's HTC Wildfire S. I have a Windows 8.1 laptop and we don't really have feasible access to a Windows 7 machine. The Wildfire S does not seem to want to get properly recognized though:
I've tried:
- Running HTC Sync as admin
- Trying two version of HTC Sync
- Tried getting just the USB drivers of it
- Tried USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports
- Tried to use the unsigned drivers method
I've tried everything I can think of... I just want to unlock the dang bootloader... What can I do?
Fixed it by gaining access to a Windows 7 computer. Even after that it was still a nightmare to get working. 13 man hours later and the phone is unlocked, rooted, and running Marvelous CM Android 4.1.2. I'll hear tomorrow about whether it's all in good order or not from my friend and maybe make some tweaks.
Where'd you find the USB drivers?

Hi, Elemein.
I'm not trying to unlock or root the device, I'm just trying to get Sync to see my device. I've been all over the HTC site and Sprint's site and can't find anything. I had a copy of Sync on an old PC, version 3.2.20. I have an HTC Evo View.
Any info you can give would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi! If you still need help, try this driver for HTC devices. It worked for me on W8.1 and HTC Sync finally found the phone.
sendspace com file wlc1ep
First of all i've installed HTC Sync 3.3.63 with its own driver, and then overwrited with this one.
ps: apparently i can't use urls in my posts yet, so you have to do puzzles. ;)
Yeehah!

Jippi!!! This file saved my sanity.! First I was a bit worried by the installation procedure which didn't give any sign of wether it had succeded installing anything. But then I plugged in the Wildfire, started HTC Sync, and voila!
Now I'm going to try to root it and change ROM.
Tell me anyone if you don't understand tmc_IDM's cryptic link or if the file is removed, I'll provide a new link.

It would be nice if you upload the driver here. I have searched on sendspace but I didn`t found it. Please upload it here. I have Windows 8.1 installed and the PC doesn`t see my phone. Thanks
I finally unlocked my bootloader and immediately ran into problems. I went to restore my phone to one of sync managers backups but when I connect my phone to my pc, I get a popup within sync manager saying "update needed, This device needs to connect with the latest version of HTC Sync Manager. Please check for update or download". Weird thing is that I'm on the lastest version, version 3.1.54.2. I just can't get sync to work. Can someone please give me a solution?

Unlocked bootloader
