Maybe its a general kernel issue, because the most rom bases are 3.14 with the kernel. Might be way off here, but i saw another thread with people on a 3.17 based stock rom that loses touch functions on the custom roms

If you flash back the nandroid it still does not work ?

Double check your APN settings that they still match your service provider specs? Mine always disappear every single time I flash my phone.

Hi guys.
I've same problem with roms. Tried to flash my previous boot image but no success. Now I restored nandroid and it's working fine... Any way to flash working customs?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda-developers app

I think its a base and kernel problem, as I've also seen a thread with people having problems on the 3.17 base

Are you flashing the kernel through fastboot?

Odp: [RADIO] Damaged radio - don't work network / wifi / GPS
Yes, through fastboot.
Can I try to flash the older base?

I have the same problem here, I flashed kernel from viper rom and then the viper rom and no signal/wifi/bluetooth. I can't flash ruu as there is no available for my cid : VODAP203 only for ICS, I would like to ask if someone has a nanbackup of ICS for this CID thats my last chance...

Go here and download the nandroid with the matching MAIN VERSION ! restore it and flash back the matching stock recovery.....and if your cid is a bit different but the main number exactly the same it should work. Another guy confirmed it to me as i adviced him to try it !

Is it an aosp rom you are trying to flash? I've been having the same issue every time i flash an aosp rom i get no gsm and i cannot edit the apn settings.

Same problem here + phone drains batterry fast, so even on stock its hard tomuse the phone. I ve heard that there is custom kernel for jb allready. I think know where to find, when i do i post

[Q] HTC One X UK Vodafone

Hey Guys,
tl;dr: is there a list that tells you what rom works with what cid/baseband? and what is the latest ARHD version that works for HTC One X HTC One X CID VODAP001 / Baseband 1.28.161.9 Vodafone UK edition
Full story:
I just lost all my data trying to install ARHD 13 without properly reading the guidelines. lol :*(
My HTC One X is CID VODAP001 / Baseband 1.28.161.9 and obviously not compatible with all the jelly bean roms.
Then i tried installing the ARHD 9.7.2. rom and that didn't work either. I got it installed but when i tried booting it for the first time it would crash and just reboot and to the same all over again.
So now i am back on the old RUU vodafone official release which is full of bloatware and just drains the battery so much faster.
I am wondering how would i know which ARHD is suitable for my device? Or is it all trial and error? And is there a repository for the older versions of ARHD. Same question for CyanogenMod?
Thanks for your help!

In a word - none. There is no custom JB ROM that could work on your device.
Sorry, mate, you'll have to wait, or flash ccustom ICS ROM and enjoy. Or, do both.
But arhd 972 would've been a ics Rom right?
What is the latest arhd that works on mine?
Thanks for your help!

You're right, 972 is an ICS ROM.
I'm personally not using ARHD, so I wouldn't know which one to recommend, honestly. Try reading Mike's thread, and I bet you'll find the answers.
I could also recommend you the ICS ROM that I am using. Or eve better, try few ROMs for a few charge cycles to kill time until JB is released.

i am totally willing to do that! and yes would be very interested in the rom your using... i just want none of the sense bloatware and speed and battery improvements.
i did just now try
numero1 rom
renovate ics version 5.8
they didn't work either for their newest iteration based on ICS... i just think its so odd that none of the ICS work for me...
i am going to try this one now: viperX v2.7.1 (Sense 4.1)
i did sift through quite a bit of mikes thread but to be honest i had a hard time knowing what is relevant for me and what issn't. i understood i should've gone for the ICS build but once that failed i don't even know where to begin searching for the problem..
yeah viper 2.6 or 2.0 didn't work either... they boot then they crash... not much options it seems for this device....
Sounds like you're not wiping the cache and dalvik cache. ARHD 9.7.2 should work, you can use the superwipe.
Hi ben thanks for your reply. I ran the wipe script provided on the arhd thread i run it everytime i install.
But its good that you let me kmow that arhd 972 should work then i can look for solutions.
Any more ideas?

I'm with Vodafone and have a VODA CID but am running ARHD 9.7.2. You only need to check your cid number for Jelly Bean roms
When you installed 9.7.2 did you flash the boot.img for the 9.7.x rom? Not flashing the boot.img will cause the boot loop error you got
Also did you do a superwipe? You need to do this if coming from another rom including stock rioms.
When changing roms you will loose all your data on the phone memory so do a backup. The data on your virtual sd card (photos etc) should still be intact.

Hi there!
yes i got it running. My god its such a difference!!! i had arhd v6 running for a long time then i had the very first RUU running for a few days... now i REALLY appreciate the speed and efficiency of that rom. I have the suite tools on there as well. Love it!
I love maximzing battery run time... I have juice defender with rather extreme settings.. but if you got any other pointers on how to make it last long time always appreciated! did you try other roms as well?
I was also wondering about the rom cleaner. I still have a lot of apps on there that i don't use like teeter, htc notes, htc locations stuff like that... can i remove that with rom cleaner? or is it good enough to user titanium backup to freeze them?
thanks for your reply!

[Q] Can i go back to ICS rom with Hboot 1.31?

Hi again..
I want to go back to ICS rom, and i have hboot 1.31, is it possible?
I want to go back to Viper X rom and i think i tryd it earlyer and it didnt boot up, is there any possble way for me to install a ICS rom?
Do i need another kernel or does it just work with inside zip = boot.img ?
thanks
You need to do a full wipe and flash the boot.img from the viper rom.....and the rom itself
I don't know if the de-sensed version works, but the sense version works very well !

Thanks budd.. I will try it ! Come back if it works!
It works on a 1.36 Hboot , I'm running it so it will work on 1.31 too i guess !
There are reports about de-sensed versions that the WiFi and signal not working. It probably needs a modified boot.img just like the CM10 does !

[Q] Why does some ROMs cause the phone to bootloop?

Hi guys,
I'm not very skilled in flashing ROMs, but I do it anyway every other day or so as am curious on what new ROMs can provide. I now longer panic when the phone get stuck at the bootscreen. Now when it occasionally happens I now have time to thinking about the reason for the bootloop - and that's why I start this thread
For some reason there are ROMs that I'm not able in install, like the official nightlies from CM 10 and Liquidsmooth RC9 - but I have no problems installing the "pure" Jellybean 4.2.1 (AOSP), TripNDroid CM 10.1 and Blade v4 (desensed) which I'm currently running.
Can anyone explain why some are able to boot on my HOX and some are not?
For your info, I'm on the Tegra 3 version using HBOOT 1.36 S-ON - Recovery is CWM 5.8.4.0
Thanks in advance.

I always do this - of course I can miss it sometimes. So I always trye reflashing if the phone get stuck in bootloop... But with the above mentiones ROMs I can't install them not matter what I do.
I think it may be caused by your hboot version: 1.36. You may need a special repacked boot.img to run some AOSP/AOKP/CM10 ROMs.
DO you Flash the correct boot.img ???
I always thought the hboot versions was backward compatible?
Regarding the boot.img -> then I alway extrat the boot from the ROM zip - and maybe that's the problem?

The fact of the matter is that most of the 4.2.1 based custom rom are compatible with HBOOT 1.28+ on the contrary to 4.1.2 based roms. For second ones U have to flash a special boot.img.

No, such thing doesn't exist. Every ROM has it's own workaround for hboot incompatibilities.
And every ROM uses a different kernel so it would be impossible.
