Ok. .. i will bring it back to the store.
I flashed a custom rom. Do you think that's a problem?
Gesendet von meinem GT-N7100 mit Tapatalk 2
Your screen is NOT broken. All AMOLED displays the Mura in the form of either dot / blobs, black lines, or stains, some even in all three representations. There is nothing you can do about it. Replacing the device will likely get you one that is worse than your current one. Refer to this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108073 for your knowledge and understanding.
This has nothing to do with flashing custom ROMs. Also, be cautious of warranty, as you have already rooted your phone.
A lot of folks probably have screens that are worse than yours, so live with what you have, and enjoy your phone. - Cheers
Also refer to the following for your awareness,

Im sorry everyone. Apparently I took the only good Note II. If you have any of the above reasons to return your phone or have it repaired, do so. I know your all still under waranty from Samsung since our device is less than a year old so WHY NOT?! And im sorry but "may get one worse"???!! Umm. No. If there were ANY problems with a oem repaired or replaced phone (which by the way is not very common!) YOUR STILL COVERED! I am sorry, but I dont believe you should have to tolerate ANY imperfections made by the manufacturer. Yes, I will admit Samsung isnt quite statistically as good as Apples qc but this means nothing. Apple makes one device. Samsung? A couple more. It is only natural that the defect % goes up. Anyway enough blithering, do whatever floats your boat.

I've gone through the SGS2 and Note 1; both had issues which eventually led me to get refund checks; however, after sometime, the AMOLED technology has grown on me, and I completely understand that the Mura Effect of AMOLED's is normal; there isn't such thing as a perfect AMOLED display out there; and I'm sure most XDA forum members understand that as well, unless they have no clue at all. Samsung would agree as well; AMOLED still has ways to go. I look forward to that in Samsung's future models; Youm.

Can you attach the image? Does it look too yellow on the phone's screen or on a computer screen, or both?
mmm i see let chek
Looks normal to me on a calibrated monitor. Whites are white in the second image; in the first image, the White Balance just might be off a little. And it's out of focus.
to yellow the pics or not ?
i think my camera it's bad
anyone please
Youre not alone. I have the same yellowish tint on mine. Happens in low light/ indoors only

Yeah the zero shutter lag is pretty useless as it misses focus most of the time.

Sure its not the flash causing it? Most of my pictures look fine and I have beige carpet.

does the GN have white balance categories like cm7?
like auto, incandescent, daylight etc?
I agree with the person who posted earlier - is does seem to be something that only affects it indoors. It does come with different "scenes," but I haven't experimented with that yet.

lmao. dude. there seems to be a bit of yellow in your house. it called ambient light or reflections. everything seems to be normal. should definitely check the pictures on a better screen and not on the nexus to verify. people with blue ceilings, wal: and carpets can get a bluish effect or whatever is your situation.
Yeah, it's just an incorrect Auto White Balance. Just change the White Balance in settings. There's nothing faulty here.
User error.
Discuss.
I don't think its user error. My sgs2 doesnt have this yellow effect when set on auto.

All the other ones i have seen it is invisible and you can't see it at all. has anyone else seen a phone like this?

Ditto on my Sprint Galaxy Nexus. I can't even see it looking for it.
I have to look really close with a flashlight to see mine. But it's very hard to see even with the flashlight.

I guess what is odd that its different in the first place, if you have a 100 of something and there all the same and that 101 is off it sorta makes you think why?
My first device has banding issues that aren't great at all, but i'm keeping it. I have seen worse in other threads. I have sent pics of all the problems i have had to google, this way maybe they can check out whats going on with qc over at sammy. I think the problem may be these devices are made in china and the international devices i think are made in Korea. but then again alot of people are having problems no matter which they have!
One thing i will say is googles cs has been great they are very nice and seem willing to help! i don't blame google i blame sammy! sigh but life goes on, there bigger things in life its just a cellphone!!
BTW, thanks everybody for the replies!!
Hi,
I would like to know if it will be possible to implement Color Control (as used in many Galaxy Nexus custom kernels) in custom kernel for Galaxy Note 2?
Here's a link (it worked wonders on my old Galaxy Nexus!):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521195
My Note 2 has a heavy green/yellowish tinted screen. The problem is much more pronounced than on my old Galaxy S3, which actually was quite bad, too...
Otherwise I have to return my Galaxy Note 2
This is a comparison between my calibrated LCD and my Note 2:

I got my replacement today. Still the same problem (at leaster better build quality). I've compared mine to other Galaxy Note 2, every single device I have seen had the same issue. So I guess there are many GN2 with that issue out there.
This is a screen shot from my note 2. Is there something I'm not seeing? What's the problem?

Do you have power saving mode on? There is a screen setting in the power save menu that tints the browser. Also try to use the "dynamic" screen setting instead of natural or the others. That fixed my tint.

One thing you are not seeing is that a screenshot can never represent a displays color reproduction. As you are eliminating the actual display and only looking at the image as it was rendered in the software. All screenshots from all devices will appear the same, however photos of the actual rendered image on screen will show variations. Using a calibrated display as a reference is the only way to have a solid comparison, just like the OP did. If you want to contribute, do the same.
hi all XDA's
ok i know i use whatsapp alot but this is so strange !!!!!!

as you see in the previous picture
in the upper part of the screen there is a less than 1 cm bar thick, which is much whiter than the rest of the screen and there is a smile face and clip icon on the right of that bar
its identical to whatsapp chat bar
the problem is that this bar is like a back light on the screen its showing in the screen where ever you are at and its so clear to see on a white or gray back grounds its even noticeable on CWM , its so annoying and defecting the beautiful screen of my note 2. :crying:
cant seem to understand how or why that happened
could it be that my screen is a defected unit ?? cuz my brother's note 2 is just fine
right now i dont know what to do i asked a mobile's repair shop for new screen and he said it will cost me 300$ (its half price of a new device)
here is more pix
*note : it may be no so clear to see on those pictures but in real its so clear and ugly

so the only solution is to replace the screen with new one right ???
and do u think that the one year guarantee that came with the device should cover this ??
thanks all for helping
i make up my mind
the screen is so annoying cant live with it and even the colors tune is less brighter than it was and more yellow-ish i started to hate the phone cuz of the screen
and the new screen will cost me 300$ and its too much its almost a price of a new mid range android device
i decided to sell it and buy HTC one but not so sure
i will think about it and do some researches on the HTC one and see if it is good enough
damn you samsung you always disappoint me with your super amoled problems
I just got it yesterday and I noticed on a lot of screens it looks like bad rendering follows it around. The most noticeable is under display settings, mid to low brightness. When you change the screen mode it shows it in some modes very clearly. Does anyone else see this? I will try to upload a picture.
I uploaded a video to youtube, you can clearly see the issue on the left side of the screen:

My phone does not look like this at all. Your screen may be defective, i'd suggest an RMA.

Cool, Thanks Let me contact Tmobile and see about the RMA
Both the violet streak and the lines that come up when you change the brightness points to a faulty display the exact same issue with the S7 and S7E
Can you guys check your tapatalk app in night mode. Mine looks washed out in the left bottom corner. Is that normal on yours too? My note 4 does not look like this.

It wasnt that, it was messed up colors showing up on the screen based on constrasting areas of the screen. THeres a video in the first post and another here where you can see the issue. This doesn't show up in screenshots I send to the computer so I know its a display problem.

My Note 7 had similar purple / pink hue on all around the edges. It's not so pronounced and I had to argue with the service adviser before the accept for warranty claim. Went in for RMA today.
International version. Sorry, didn't capture any video or images of the defect.
Thisis what i see a greenish wahsed out screen with dark gray.
