[Q] Best rom/kernel for stock look? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking to sell my Arc S after plenty of good service.
I want to put a rom/kernel on it to give it a stock look. I've tried searching but I can't narrow it down to what I'm looking for.
Can anyone recommend anything to me please?

Install stock 4.0.2.A.0.62. Use Search to find it, should be a FTF file. Install Flashtool and flash the FTF file with it.
Make sure you get full ROM and not kernel only.

Its a Jap version, So you might find the Stock Kernel on a Japanese site.
I haven't seen those in XDA.
Download the Firmware, Its in FTF format and Extract it with 7Zip, You will find the Stock Kernel (Kernel.sin) file inside. Flash it in Fastboot mode.
I can send FTF file for you or you can download WOTAN (it is free) an flash your device.
I've also need an original firmware for acro with kernel and system. If anyone can point me in the right direction i will be very grateful because i managed to brick my acro. Thank you so much

I Have 1 Sock Kernal Backed Up..
Android Version 2.3.4
Build Number is 4.0.1.B.0.112
If there's still a need for this,
As I cannot post links or sites, here are almost a site from where I downloaded and flashed mine:
Site:
arkdroid.info/xperia002/
the file is : IS11S_4.0.1.B.0.112_KDDI.ftf
But I tried after flashing the Doom's arc custom kernel and the mobile has some bugs after flashing the original even with the original kernel flashed.
Mine, it doesn't work well the 1seg and SD card doesn't mount...
Trying to figure out a way to fix it...
If someone finds, please tell me.
Thanks

Search around the forum, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of different FTF files available. Go and look for the one that you need.

how can I go back without any kinds of problems ???
And what is the stock kernal and from where can I get it ???
please any one know answer me ASAP

You can download an official firmware from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330314
And use flashtool to flash it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000012
A .ftf package always comes with stock kernel, you don't need to install them separately
Thanks for your help
I was search for the stock kernal for along time and didn't know it included in the ftf file
thanks again
:good:

You can flash up to the .42 ftf and still root using doomlords rooting method
---------- Post added at 12:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:07 PM ----------
Ah. Ive just found out they don't work. Sorry bout that
If you only need it for a few days, you could just flash the LT15i firmware from another question I answered.

The processor should still run at 1.4.
Its these kind of threads that show there should be a posting restriction for new members. I'd love to know what search terms noobs use when they claimed to have searched for what's been posted many many times.

XperienceD first problem is that since the theme has changed i cant even find my device on the forum, secondly i just got this today so iam not used to this section,
But anyways iam sorry if u dont like me posting this Question I always respect XDA and all its members!
thanks again @XDA & cheers!
You've posted in your devices section so not sure how you haven't been able to find it, and its not the question I have an issue with its the fact that you've started a thread instead of searching first as you're supposed to. I've posted a list of 2.3 ROMs in one of the stickys, that list stems from the numerous threads that already exist with 2.3 ROMs, so again if you weren't able to find them I would love to know what you searched for, and that's a statement, not a question.

I downloaded the LT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic Global.ftf
but when i click on flash and select the ftf it doesent show anything on the right side of the flash tool
i mean the loader..kerner.. etc..
and when i select flash it says flash canceled
any idea why this is happening ?
is there a problem with the ftf file ?
i have downloaded 2 diffrent ftf from xda boath have the same problem..
any idea why?
Use an older version of the Flashtool and try again, shouldn't happen with 2 files but have read there are compatibility issues with the newer flashtool and older ROMs.

hmm i guess so.. thanks bro

I've search hundreds of times for ROMs and don't say some crap about me being stupid not being able to find it because I can find and upgrade ROMs for my arc to android 4.1.1 from scratch in less than 5 minutes. So obviously your list of 2.3 ROMs isn't that easy to find, is it?
Guys, put the war hammers away...
One question: Is there a restriction in video recording, like in other roms? For example, will I be able to record according to Arc S' full capabilities (720p/30fps)?

[Q] Not sure where to start.. :/

Hey everyone, im new to this site and to rooting and im not sure where to start... I would like to root my ZL but theres so much info on these forums I have no clue if Im looking at the correct stuff or not.. I would appreciate anyone willing to give me some guidance and this. My overall objective is to basically clear out the bloatware, increase the sound volume through my headphone jack, speed up my handset and maybe a new skin and whatever other cool things i discover by having a rooted phone. here are my specs-
Model:c6506
android versoin:4.4.2
build number:10.5.A.0.230
I apologize if this thread is not in the correct area. and thanks in advance for any help

[Q] What is stock?

Ok, this is a really stupid question, and I think my IQ has lowered 5 points just from asking it, but what is the stock for R800i? I installed ICS the day I got mine, and now I'd like to return it to stock and I don't know what stock is for this device.

Thank you for that, but I'm still confused. I see 9 ftf files in that post, in the section marked R800i (plus several that are obviously not for me, such as Hong Kong and UK...my Play is the global unlocked model). Which one do I want? Or are they all the same?

I think they're pretty much the same thing...u can use .62 phoenix or .79(with these two ull get unlocked partition so that u can also use custom kernels with custom partition layout (600/700mb data partition).. btw gotta hav unlocked boot loader for that:good:
also stock means mostly built by sony code so everything should work
touchpads, Xloud etc..
