Help with titanium backup please can't restore backups - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hi I'm having an issue when I'm trying to restore my titanium backup apps. I cant figure it out. I installed the jellybam ROM and now I can't restore my apps. I'm using twrp recovery if that helps. I'm gonna post some pics. Titanium reads the apps but they don't show up on the restore screen. Any help please. I have searched on this forum and online before I posted.

What happens if you verify the backups? The top option on that list in the second screen shot.

I pressed that option before anf here is what it shows. Its only showing like 3 apps.

Remove the filter. Click hourglass on the top right, remove craigslist.
You may need to press the funnel button, if the filter shows as empty. Then you will be taken to the filters screen, where you will see craigslist is being used.

Holy shiznet bro that worked how the hell did that happen. I been beating myself up thinking that it was rom or flashing issues. I feel like a noob lol. Thanks a ton.

Frigged my Epic a little

Here's my situation: experimented with removing some system apps today (mostly bloatware) on my rooted stock ec05 Epic and I decided to try getting rid of "System Updates 1.0.0". Then, I remembered I sometimes use the update prl function to reconnect my 3g if JuiceDefender doesn't kick it back on automatically after I wake the screen up, so I popped back into Titanium Backup to restore the app. It's been in the process of restoring it for the past 30 min and I'm not optomistic anymore. My question is this: is there a way to get this system app back short of ODINing back to complete stock? I lurk a lot on the Epic boards but I haven't experimented a lot with my Epic itself, so I'm ignorant when it comes to these tricks. Thanks for any help I receive.
Cheers

Try reflashing the rom and you cant backup sys apps with titanium
I reccomend you use sdx stock app remover it pretty easy and backups too and it doesnt take forever like titanium

Damn. I was afraid of that. It's funny because TB restores most of Tue other apps just fine, just not System Update and the drm files.
How about this: I located the apks for these three in my TB folder and extracted them to the sex backup folder. I'm trying to restore them via sex tool now, but I always get an error saying I'm out of space, and SD maid doesn't turn up anything I can delete to make room. If I could make room, would that method work, and if so, how should I make room?

Get rid of the double-ended dildo. That'll free up a fair amount of space.

lol. That's actually the ever-helpful Gingerbread keyboard on my NookColor. Gotta love it.
The latest paid version of Titanium Backup allows the deletion and restoration of system apps. You should see a red Happy face, IIRC.

Any way to backup my ENTIRE set up?

I want to try different ROMs but I don't want to lose the way everything is set up currently. Not just apps and whatnot, but EVERYTHING--widget location, wallpaper, etc.

Backup using the backup feature in Clockwork Recovery. I use it all the time going back and forth between SRF and GB roms.

I have read on other forums about how to make your own odin image I think that's more reliable
EDIT: found it was in droid charge forums

Thanks for the replies. Just went with clockwork rather than creating my own Odin image.

What you may want to do when you have time is wipe everything and restore the nandroid backup you just made to confirm it made a good backup. It almost always does but I have gotten an occasional MD5 mismatch. It is highly unlikely but it is good to know you have a solid backup to rely on

Help restoring data

Hey thanks to all reading this. I have a problem extracting data from an old phone, sorry if this is in wrong section I'm using an s3 so came here. Situation is had s2 and dropped in water. Phone works but screen doesn't. I think it works in some spots but not enough for me to get the SD to work. When its plugged in I see the drive disappear instantly so can't get file. The file I need is a PDF I downloaded months back. It saved to my phones drive. Im not having much luck with adb and not sure I even know where to look for the PDF. I was able to view it using adobe reader. I have a nandroid but dunno where to look for his PDF. I am on a twrp recovery so kinda screw ed there and screen cast a no go. Anyone know where to look in nandroid browser for a PDF downloaded to phone mem? Any ideas are appreciated thx so much

You could try airdroid, connect to your phone wirelessly from your pc and browse files on it, then just download from phone to pcs

Does adb recognize the device? If so its just a matter of reading through adb for dummies (will try and find a link) to get the right command.
Or pm EarlyMon. I bet he knows the cmd

I havent tried adb too much I'm not sure if its picking it up or not, I have all the latest components but might need older ones. When I do try adb it dosent detect anything so far. Not even the s3 so not ruling it out yet. I'm so desperate I'm thinking about restoring the nandroid to s3 and see what happens. The file I need is my medical license without it I'm f'd. Its a hassle to get a new one, so much so I'm going thru this headache. About to chuck this thing

What apps do you install first after switching to a new rom

Hey guys!
The title says it all! I am wondering what apps you guys believe are a must have right after you flash a new rom.
My first ones are Xtreme Alarm clock and To.do. Both are brilliant at what they are meant to do!
Stryg
I don't download apps when i install a new ROM for the first time. I restore my apps through TWRP. I use app2zip to generate the scripts.

Phone: Galaxy s2 t989
Rom: PACman 21.0.1
Kernel: PAC
I'm full of great idea's, but don't have the time to create them or learn the coding to create them. If you want to make one of my ideas a reality just message me and I will give you my idea as specific as possible.
ideas:
-launcher/lock screen
-line rider type game where you control the character
-2d fighting game like art of fighting for the SNES
-multiplayer fps where you create your own map with a creative mode (minecraft style)
-roller coaster tycoon style game
-get phone out of sleep mode
-many more!
Just message me which idea you want info on and I'll tell you!

I reinstall all necessary and desired apps from the play store by sliding going to the "my apps" page, and sliding over to the "All" apps pane and individually choosing. This is because I know sometimes, depending on what rom and phone I'm restoring to, there may be some apps that I see as obsolete and choose not to reinstall. Then, using the app "Datasync" I pull down all my old settings from the apps from my dropbox account back onto my phone. Saves me 30mins of reconfiguring many of the settings. I can also automatically back up to the dropbox account using "Datasync" so that it is always up to date.
Another alternative to datasync is carbon, from clockwork recovery. And for those that are wondering, I tried setting up some "social gaming" using datasync pro on my device and a friend's, so that we could play and beat games together, like angry birds levels, etc, but datasync does a full wipe and backup for both uploads and downloads, and not partial incremental changes like I originally thought, so my social gaming idea failed.
Titanium Backup! Ever since my G1 its been my method of choosing what to restore and backup. Lol I've had it so long its before there was a pro version and you donated to unlock certain features.

Titanium backup and rom toolbox, sometimes Google play store doesn't download my apps so it's always good to have a backup with titanium. I also use apex launcher and have a backup made in that so I don't have to set it up again just click restore

I do this exact same thing when flashing a ROM from a clean start. Usually I do pick AdAway first from the list (I know it not on the Store anymore, so I install the APK from my SD. Then Root Explorer and XDA Premium, then whatever else I feel I want at the time.
On a side note does anyone know when the XDA app will be back up? It's been days (if not weeks?). My subscriptions don't show. That's the only (main) reason I paid for it. Easy access on the go to my threads.

Up to you
I only make a new backup if one or more of the following are true.
Its been a while.
Im about to flash a new build or untested rom.
I know I have recent data I dont want to lose.
Im experimenting with my own roms or mods.
I dont backup before every flash. For me its just a waste of time and space.
Whenever I add a new contact, I always make a new contacts backup by exporting to file.
Before I update an app, I back it up in Titanium. You never know when a new version will be worse than the previous one.
Also, after creating a backup, copy it to your computer. This way it wont get accidentally erased.
Any way you go, it is always recommended that you have an external copy of your latest backup, just in case.
