I don't think that calibration is possible, rather a warranty claim. Did you try the app Proximity Sensor Finder and trying to cover/uncover the sensor under different light conditions?

Sorry just re-read my post, didn't mention what setting you had to calibrate.
In the Display settings under G-Sensor calibration. Make sure you place it on a flat surface.
i have tried it now but what is it to do with the screen sensor?
i havr just checked if it helps and it didnt :-(

But then you have to charge the phone more
I have a problem with my rooted G2's light sensor as well. I check sensor values using either an app or Cyanogen's light level editor and it's permanently stuck at 219. I guess that's what I get for upgrading my radio. :/
I'm not sure it's the radio, but my light sensor needs calibrating or something. Even in a pitched black room, it jumps up to 320lx, making it shut off the keyboard when I need it. Ugh, ugh, ugh. It still works though -- just not on the low end of the spectrum.

In the virtuose sense 2.0 thread, they have made some flashable zip that adjust the proximity sensor and light sensor... I don't know if they will work on that rom...but if you want to try..

Does anyone know how to get the motion gestures from the galaxy S3 for Jedi Mind Trick?

Actually no its a ROM drive feature. The motion gestures are powered by the proximity sensors of the S3...which the S2 doesn't have. Thus, making Gypsy's statement above correct. Its nearly impossible to have it working on an s2. The only realy way is to swap the proximity sensor from the S3 and put solder it into your s2. After that, you'd have to find the correct libs and whatnot to make it work properly. And there you have it.
Probably use tasker for this. As someone already made a tasker profile to call someone directly from sms when you bring it to your ears like in gs3..

actually SGH-T989 does have proximity sensor.
If you don't believe me, you can download Smart Screen ON from play store to test the sensor.
or you can dial MMI Code * # * # 0588 # * # * to test.
I don't know why developer is not porting this function into S2.

YES if we were talking about the auto dialer function on S3 when you place the phone on the ears.
did you test the proximity sensor on your phone? just dial the MMI code.

All smart phones have proximity sensors. What was stated earlier was that our phone will need the S3 sensors. Considering we use a different prossesor and motherboard, I say it is not worth the effort.

what app did you test it with?
I don't think that any pressure sensor is placed inside the ZL c6502 because sony service menu *#*#7378423#*#* which contains service tests also does not tests the pressure sensor test.
I think Sony forgot to put the sensor.....

I don't quite get whether the pressure sensor you guys are talking about is the same as barometer or not. About barometer read this. I have C6502 (black) and it must have the barometer sensor as it shows the altitude of present landscape correctly (screenshot below). U can use the app altitude from playstore or service test (for GPS). Although, it seems likely that pressure sensor is a different sensor coz service menu shows it as a separate test, which states that this phone doesn't have it. But it fails to test IrDA too (which we all have working), so I can't say much about it.
Pressure Sensor = Barometer.
The two are the same.
You're getting the altitude lock from GPS.
Try turning GPS OFF and getting an altitude reading. If you can do that, then it has the barometer functioning. Not otherwise.

Ok. The app (altitude) requires GPS to work, hence no altitude info without it. So, it seems either we don't have the pressure sensor or the apps are unable to access it.
