Kii Keyboard.
Loving it so far. Stock Android 4.2 Keyboard comes a close second. I keep the Samsung default keyboard for handwriting purposes.

I don't know what it is about SwiftKey, but I really, really don't like it. I like the stock Samsung keyboard the best, but it's unusable for me since it doesn't have autocorrect. Therefore, I'm using the Android 4.2 keyboard.

I would get android 4.2 keyboard but I bricked my phone this past weekend trying to cwm recovery to flash it. And you can't flash it with twrp for some reason. I also tried manually installing which didn't work either. Idk. I really like SwiftKey 3 though. It's perfect for me.

Swift key all day.
Current Devices: At&t Samsung Galaxy Note, Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Asus Google Nexus 7 Super Tablet
Current Roms: Jedi XP 9 (Note 2), AOKP (Galaxy Nexus), Nexus 7 Stock

I really don't like keyboards that cant use finger dragging for input. I like swype but have been using the Android 4.2 keyboard for the past few days. I like the 4.2 with the swyping function but still have to play with it a bit before it's a keeper. It has some things I don't like as far as a few common things on the second keyboard screen. A comma is one of them. I might be able to change this but have not tried at all....wait...the comma is also there if I hold down the period key.

Absolutely loving the SwiftKey 3 keyboard. It's freaking perfect. No wonder it's like the 3rd or 4th top paid app. Definitely worth every cent.

Right now I'm using Smart Keyboard Pro with a hot pink theme. I love keyboards that ur able to theme cuz I'm a pink-a-holic! I know Swiftkey has a pinkish type theme, but my fav pink color is bubble gum or hot pink. If Swiftkey ever gets a pink color theme like those I'd definitely switch back to it cuz that is one awesome keyboard. The auto-correction/predictions is out of this world fabulous!

I really like this gray with neon green theme. It looks very clean and the keys have a sort of blackberry look to them which is a very clean look that I'm quite fond of.

This.
Tried BetterKB, Gingerbread, Swype, SlideIt, Ultra, but SmartKeyb pro is easily the best for me.
Personally HTC IME Mod is the best fit for me, nice big buttons, and plenty of useful features, like moving through text with the volume rocker or even much needed spell check for the hardware KB.
Swype. /thread
I still go back to the droid x keyboard, I love it.

Agree. Swype is the fastest and easiest for me. You do have to have good spelling to get the best result out of it though!

Can keyboards be combined? For instance Gingerbread with Swype
Shapewriter. It's like Swype, done right. I find Swype to be way too inaccurate, and I dislike the popup. Shapewriter is more accurate and has a bar of word suggestions above the keyboard rather than a popup.
It was pulled from the market when Nuance bought out the developer, but you can still find it fairly easily (as in, linked in the forums at www.shapewriter.com).
It is always one of my first installs, along with Handcent and Androzip.

Keyboards

Im looking for skins or themed keyboards.
I seen a couple in some of the new roms put out lately but when I move over the axt9ime.apk its not changed from the stock look.
Anyone know of any?

[REQ] Pebble Blue theme for Samsung Keyboard

Hey Devs,
I am not usually into themeing, I really like stock looks often.
But today while using the SGS III keyboard, I suddenly thought How awesome would it look like if the Samsung Keyboard had the same "finish" like the back of the device or the front near the home button.
Horizontal metallic lines - If anyone wishes to create such a theme, I'd be thrilled to test it
Bye for now
I would love a white keyboard like the one on tab
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Try the SwiftKey beta 3 from their website. That has a blue theme and it is also a great keyboard. I haven't got my s3 yet but going by previous Samsung keyboards I guess it is a good option
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Same to be said about smartbkeyboard pro.
I'm actually using the galaxy theme on my galaxy s3 but it it has many colours and a much better predictive text than the 'bouncy' stock.
Also tried swiftkey which was good but couldn't get used to the non standard layout

What Do you mean by the "bouncy" stock?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
The auto correct for the stock keyboard often changes the words especially shorter ones it abbreviates it with no way of saving your petsonalised words without going into the personal dictionary first
Example being every time I would type in MB or GB et it would place a full stop before it without giving me an option to do so. I referred to it as bouncy as I was constanlty going back and forth to correct the punctuation myself which sounds pittiful but is annoying when you can't type quickly !
The only thing I do miss about the stock keyboard though was that it had an integrated swipe function without changing it in the settings. Now that was handy for texting quickly when you only had one hand

So no takers? Thanks for the suggestions on the alternative keyboards but for those of us who actually "like" the stock keyboard is someone willing to take up the task?
It would be highly appreciated.

What keyboard are you currently using?

Topic. Just curious.
Apple just give up the IPHONE sucks deal with it.
I keep switching between Swiftkey and AOSP keyboard. Swiftkey is nice but sometimes it finishes a word before I want it to and it adds something "working ng". It's somewhat annoying and the fact that you have to select exactly behind the entire word, otherwise it'll fix the word from everyone before the pointer. (for example, when I'm typing and I notice I spelt "tpying" wrong, I'll select the word by tapping and let's say I tap right behind the y, well, the prediction fix will say "typing" so I press that and it makes it into "typing ing", which is definitely not what I wanted.)
I like the simplicity of the AOSP keyboard although it's predictions aren't as smart as Swiftkey.
I'm still using the ics keyboard the response time is so much smoother than what I get from other keyboards plus voice recognition for texting so much better and faster. I tried swpye but it's get annoying after a while plus the default one with jellybean has no voice input feature I had to download the latest swype beta which is not all that great either. So I'm sticking with the ics keyboard for now.

Note2 floating keyboard.

Is there anyway or place where I could get the multiview floating keyboard?
Well with note 2 keyboard I didn't see much of anything in there for floating. But I did get the S4 keyboard working... but it is not useable. It has floating multiview. The aspect ratio is way off. I don't think I can patch it. The pixel density and size of the new screen are working against us. The note 2 was easy because it has the same screen resolution as the S3
Here it is you could flash this... http://d-h.st/JM8 It worked for me, but it will not really be useable. Now the thing that really sucks is that I do believe this has auto-correct and next word prediction. And it looks just like the note 2 keyboard with handwriting which works very well.
