Hi, I have just installed the RemPuzzle ROM 2.83 full on to my HTC Wildfire. There does not appear to be any play store app on the ROM. How do I get play store on my phone to download apps? Thanks.
Just add your google account and it should be there..

You mean via the generic "mail" icon? There is no specific icon for gmail.
Howz that possible ?
Try reflashing rom.
Coz it must have gapps preinstalled.

No. Just go to settings and then accounts and add the account there. I have not used Rempuzzle for quite some time so not sure what exactly are the options in the settings.

That's what I would have expected? Shouldn't GAPPS be on the ROM in the first place? Thanks.

Yes. For sense roms such as kwbr, jokerdroid, rem puzzle etc gapps are preinstalled.
For most Aosp roms e.g cyanogen, you have to flash gapps after flashing rom.

Gapps are included in some AOSP roms and all sense roms.
I remember something from last year there was a issue with market not appearing if you do not add your google account. I may be wrong but thats what came to my mind.

OK. Google account now successfully added and synced but still no play store
Is there a GAPPS for RemPuzzle that I could just flash?

No there is no Gapps for rempuzzle. Look fo vending.apk in system/app folder if it is there.
Restart your phone and if everything fails reflash the rom..

Would it be safe to try flashing my phone with this gapps even tho I am not using cyanogen?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626627
I dont think you should flash those but I am not sure. I never flashed Gapps for sense rom. They are included in it.
I recommend reflashing if all fails.

Yes Rempuzzle has the latest Gapps. There will be playstore in the app drawer.
I have been using the word market for a long time so its difficult to say it playstore now.
I did a cache, dalvik cache wipe and factory reset prior to doing a reflash of the rempuzzle rom and it then sudenly appeared! So I didn't need to reflash the ROM after all! Thanks for all your advice

I have install AOKP milestone-5 ROM on my GN !
after finish flash the AOKP rom and GApp, and setting up my Google account on first boot.
the GN haven't restore my phone setting from my google account ! I am sure I had backup data on my google account, becasue I have try it with Google ROM before.
and I find out the backup & reset on settting page, the backup account doesn't coming up on screen ! how can I fix it please
It's likely the GAPPS that isn't wanting to restore it. There should be an updated version that fixes this or use the older version.

I am facing a problem with my Link2sd, I tried everything I could but still cant get this program working with my cyanogen 10,
The problem is that i still get this damn error "Mount script cannot be created."
I have the CM10 ROM by benjamingwynn, phone is rooted and the bootloader unlocked.
Tried doing this: blog.icefusion.co.uk/cyanogenmod-and-link2sd (Manually creating the script) but still.... didnt fix it,
What else can be done in order to fix this ?

First of all, the cm10 you have is quite old so I advise you to change it.
You can also try using cronmod int2ext. Works better than link2sd for me

his meaning is the cm10 which you have is old build..after here you can find jelly king based on oliver's work and also iHra!n's nightley builds.
edit : also djoliver's cm10
Or my CM10 - it's sooo smooth
I have decided to finally root my phone
i have been reading the rooting tutorials and also about installing roms.I have some questions about CM10 is it stable and without bugs?
Also can anybody here advice me as to which ROM i should use. I want the phone to be fast and it should also have overclocking provision..
I'm a noob about this so please advice.
And also do i need to use Hellboy kernel for CM10
I'm a bit confused with flashing/installing kernels n Rom..
I will try cm10 in 1 or two days and will update you asap.
Right now I am using aokp 4.1.2 primeOu ROM.
It is a good one. But having some serious bugs with camcorder, voice calls, music player.
But the ROM is very fast.
And regarding over clocking u will get it inside aokp its up to 1497MHz.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app.
With aokp 4.1.2
First of all, cm10 does not have bugs.
Secondly, over clocking is a provision of the kernel and NOT the ROM.
Goodluck with flashing

ok so i did everything mentioned in this tutorial to root HTC One V using superboot
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598964
But after i double click on install superboot windows.bat file, the cmd opens and closes within a second..and nothing happens with the phone...i restarted it and it was working fine..
Can anybody tell me what wrong have i done?
So i have succesfully flashed CM10 ROM...and everything is working fine..apart from google play app...i installed it and it opens for a second and then closes..i have to install apps by downloading the apk..through pc or from phones browser..
Any solution for this problem?

Yeah factory reset is necessary with wipe cache. And to be sure I suggest to follow the whole procedure again. And use the same gapps given by mr_nooby. Those are the best to go with cm10.

I have some more questions about CM10
1) In the Cpu Overclock menu what should be the min frequency..by default it is 245mhz..should i increase it? I have kept the Max Frequeny to 1497mhz..does increasing the min frequency has any effect on the phones performance..??
2)Whenever i install any app on my phone "Unfortunatley Hwa settings have stopped" msg comes...any solution for this.?? and what are Hwa settings??
Well for question 1 increasing the min frequency will improve performance however as you may know overclocking wastes battery. It's up to you.

10.1 is very nice. I agree on the sense part though.
But on topic I would suggest a fill wipe
/system
/data
Before installing just to clean out all of cm back up your apps and data with titanium back up or similar app.
