I'm currently using SlimBean ROM, and well.. like the tittle, I want the CRT Off Animation
I went through some guide about decompiling framework-res.apk and change the value of animateScreenOff (Something like that) from true to false in res>value>bool.xml
I tried doing it using Virtuos Ten Studio and compile the apk, adb pushed the file, and reboot my HOV
But the animation is not there
Am I missing something else?
when you are successful give me also

In hindsight, you only see this when locking the device.
Basically, what's the point? It's more of a showoff thing if anything, unless you sit and click the button all day.
Well, it looks cool~ So I feel like having it~ xD
I love it too, but saw only in older compilations of some ROMs

If you have a kernel that supports custom boot animations, then go download romtoolbox and go to the custom boot animations, find one you want, and install it. It works perfect for me.

Is it as easy as just clicking install on the bootanimation? I have juggernaut v5 with the stock kernel, im guessing that was why it didnt work? how do you revert back to stock?

You have to have a compatible kernel which I believe juggs doesn't have (just flash a different one) and click download then install. I'm not sure how to take it back to stock

Not Bad
It took a little googling and a bit of trial and error to find a ROM Toolbox that worked but ROM Toolbox.apk is a great program works for the boot animations as well as several other tweaks. I couldn't however, find a program called romtoolbox.
Can you use toolbox for custom ones, I download a zip and put it into the file location that toolbox uses and also in my download folder but does not show up ugh.
Also Im running ICS there is no file in system/media called boot anything but yes I was able to change the annim. using one of the stock files that tool box offers. So im lost I files are somewhere, but not at that location.

Guys this is a modded sgs3 launcher for JB cm10 for our one V.
This launcher is for those who are bored with the default cm10 look and also for those who love sgs3 touchwiz interface.
Works great on my One V running cm10 B118..
Doesn't work on cm9 but works on PA JB rom.. Might work with all the JB roms. (testers plz upload feedback).
Just flash the zip through cwm.
REMEMBER: Take a backup always incase something goes wrong.
Download the zip file attached below.
Don't forget to HIT THANKS BUTTON if u like it.
Link for weather widget: http://d-h.st/5eG
(credits to Xami for making this widget and awandroid89 for making flashable zip.)
Just flash the zip via cwm and find it in widget drawer after rebooting.
Doesn't work with other launchers like Nova,Apex,Trebuchet etc.
Hit thanks if you like it
More stuff!!
More stuff to the launcher coming soon.. like the Sgs3 clock and weather widget..
I like the progress you've made with this launcher so far, please do keep updating it. I'll be using this instead of Trebuchet.

hey man no need of any zip.if you are using stock sense 2.1 ,2.3.5 rom you just need to put two lines in build.prop.
# Properties for supporting framework features
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = true
just add these lines and save it.
and if you are using other than stock sense rom here is screenshot zip.
its not flashable,
so extract it and then,
lib goes to /system/lib
apk goes to /system/apk
and add notepad lines to /system/build.prop
& dont forget to change permissions to 644
Re: Sense 2.1 screenshot?
