What's the stable ROM for S3 out there at the moment . Used to have S2 and there used to a forum with all the ROMS with comments and how their battery life is which i found it pretty helpful.
Does anything like this exists for S3??

Yea just type the name if your device in the top and find it and go to android development
Honestly it all depends on what you're looking for if you're looking for a true Android experience or if you're looking for TouchWiz or another launcher.
Wicked sensations is a good TouchWiz rom the only problem is that it was way overly themed. Everything works properly with this ROM alternatively you could use blazer ROM which is more of a stock TouchWiz. The only thing I don't like about blazer ROM is that the wifi tethering does not work.
If you're looking for your pure Android experience you might want to try something like liquidsmooth or maybe CyanogenMod even though it's mainstream everything works properly.

Free gs3 isn't themed. The only thing it has is the option to choose different launchers. You can customize it, but its not built into the ROM.

Kenny fell asleep at the wheell on thread closures.. Either that, or he's tired of these popping up every single day because people don't seem to read the rules.. and use the search function.... Nothing against anyone, but these things are popping up all too often. Simple search will show the closed/locked ones.. and a little time in the Dev section, would answer questions.
OP..there is no best for everyone...follow the advice posted here.

2.7.1 is their custom rom. This is their stock rom.
Tried out rom and everything is as perfect as your other rom. Except for the fact that this one its stock so it includes T-mobile apps. An awesome stock rom alternative.

I wouldn't say it's a bust. I think this is exactly what I'm looking for. I change the homescreen and lockscreen regardless so Touchwiz doesn't even come into play. It's simple ICS guts though that's hard to find.
Like FlagshipX said, its not a bust. Its an awesome stock alternative rom for people who prefer something stock but with tweaks. I personally like debloated roms, but this type of rom is great if you want to sell your phone and want to give the new owner a stock looking rom.

check out cm10 or aokp, probably the most solid Jellybean roms we have right now. Touchwiz Jellybean is shaping up nice as well, but there are some bugs in fk09 so i would wait if i were you.
All the jellybean ROMs are based on the same source code therefore they all have the exact same battery life.

GPS Fix?
Installed the Universe S4 ROM on my T-Mobile SIII SGH-T999 and it is great, being able to use flash and the S4 style keypad are probably the best features right off the bat aside from the speed and removing a lot of pointless apps.
I have had the ROM installed a week or two now and finally installed a couple apps that use GPS and noticed that GPS does not work at all. I was hoping there is some workaround or something I can do to get it going because that is something I don't think I can do without.
Any help would be appreciated.

This isn't a theme. Is an ACTUAL port of HTC sense. It says that in the OP of that thread. It's been said this was impossible. I'm SHOCKED more people aren't interested in this. I would think it would be HUGE news!

Oh yeah! I know it's an AWESOME theme. I've used it before and LOVED it. In fact I think I was one of the first people to comment on that thread. SG is a BEAST. The FULL HTC launcher and system ui working on a Samsung device though? How is this not front page news?!?!? LOL I was always under the impression that IF anyone ever got it working, it would be pulled for copyright reasons since Sense is NOT open source. Yet here it is!
It's not fully functional yet. My fellow Reject cnexus is still hard at work on it and is reaching out for help as well. He has already promised to teach me once it's fully functional.

That's awesome bro! Glad to hear it. I knew he was part of the Rejects which is why I was shocked none of you guys had mentioned it. Ingenious idea using cm as the base. I'm still not sure how he's made it work but this is as close as anyone has come to my knowledge. Using cm would mean ports would be ridiculously easy for cross platforms. Sounds amazing!

I will have to find a Sense 4/5 device with the same processor and screen resolution, that's the problem. For a port of that magnitude, the s3 just isn't close enough.

Sure, there is a Sense ROM but nothing works. It just boots and that's it. But what do you expect from HTC firmware on a Samsung device? And no, there will not be any future development for Sense on the Epic 4G Touch.

If I remember correctly. Someone about a year or 2 ago had some beta version for testers. Wasn't publicly released, it never was. Since there is no release. They dropped the ball on it.

It was released after everyone got incredibly upset with he who shall not be named for promising everyone he was still working on it and everyone thought he had just taken the device the community donated and ran with it. He released a very broken Sense ROM that should still be buried in the development section.
There's only one person I can think of that can fix what is broken with it and that would be TD. But I seriously doubt he would even want to bring back the drama that unfolded last year.

Not sure what it is exactly that you prefer with sense, but Shadow_God built a sense theme, smooth as silk, and bilgerryan built Sensewiz, which is a sense-themed ROM for the e4gt, and is cool as heck. Here's the links to both:

That was a Sense 2.3 port, and was very broken... However I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss. We just need to find a good HTC device with the matching specs of our device. Probably no Sense 5 tho.
