Wind Samsung Galaxy s3 Cyanogenmod 10 - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

So... I've checked out a ton of xda-developer posts on cyanogenmod 10 versions for t999v samsung galaxy s3(the wind one). I haven't found a dedicated post as to how i should install it on that phone. Or if it's even fully compatible. If someone could point me to a post that would tell me how to install it for this phone, that would be great! I don't mind if it's a nightly either, as long as it's relatively stable. Thanks!

Install d2tmo from get.cm
And do the typical full wipe and gapps install

Oh kk thanks alot! Where should i get cyanogenmod itself from? The nightly listings don't seem to have a download for this phone it seems. Thanks again!!!!
EDIT: LOL, sorry, i just realized you told me where to get cm from, i misread Thanks!!!

The ones for T-Mobile will work for u

KK thanks a bunch guys! So the root for t-mobile should work as well? I don't really care if it increases the flash counter. Hope so, since there dosen't seem to be wind specific tuts for that as well.. ( i am quite new to rooting as well, so thanks for putting up with my questions)

Anyone please? Sorry for the trouble, been dying to get this set up! I really apreciate it

Just did. Its gonna be more work than I thought. Endless fc's. The devs will definitely be able to use it though.
And, now that I think about it, this probably wont do us much good. Ill see if I can get those guys to deodex it for me.

Out of curiosity i flashed one of their roms. No major issues if i flashed jugs kernel except downloading apps from the market causes a reboot. Doesn't do that on their kernel but screen rotation is weird with theirs

I haven't tried twrp2 and don't know that I will. That's three confirmed errors on the download, so I'm going to assume the uploaded file is bad. It did seem small to me (146 megs) considering the other roms are over 400 mb (I think).

[Q] (Answered) Why do I have an I747M on AT&T?

I searched around for the differences between the I747 and I747M, and apparently it is the location... That brings up my question.
I got an I747M, but live in the US and am with AT&T. Should I be worried about anything?
Thanks!
EDIT: I have found that it is because I flashed KyanROM, which changed it from I747 to I747M. Is there any way to revert this change? I did try to change it in the build.prop, like a bunch of places said, but when I did, the phone would get to the Samsung screen the crash. I did a nandroid restore and everything was fine, except it is still showing I747M.

Flash only modems that are for your carrier.
The reason I asked that is because Kyan ROM is based on the 747m firmware. It still works with the 747, but the build.prop shows it as a 747m.

Exactly. Look at the title in the Kyan forum... notice the M after the 747?.. so.. youve entered the world of ROMs?.. time to study!! Read read and read again my friend or youll get flamed like crazy around these parts. The answer to this question and probably all your questions are available in Kyans forum.. theres a thing called the OP that has all the info you need about the ROM you flash.. make sure you read it in its entirety atleast twice before flashing , sop. The OP is the very first post.. also, how to get around your issue and get the AT&T bloat back is also found in that forum.. theres a search function that will reveal all your questions and dreams.. its like magic except its just the search function.

Thanks guys, I feel a little bit better about it now.
I am only worried about the model number, because I can't download any of the AT&T stuff from the market because it is restricted from I747M's (as they are Canadian, and AT&T has no use on those devices). Is there any way to change it back to I747 and get rid of the M? @daddymatt, I have spent a good 30 minutes searching, and can't find any way to revert it.
I did try to change it in the build.prop, like a bunch of places said, but when I did, the phone would get to the Samsung screen the crash. I did a nandroid restore and everything was fine, except it is still showing I747M.

Try changing device id to I9300 instead of I747. It's the international version and will serve the same purpose. Don't know for sure if this'll work, but i think I've seen it somewhere else.

I don't think it will work. Att uses i747m not the international version
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
How many lines in the build.prop did you change? I had to change 4 in order to get Bell mobile tv working while running an AT&T rom. Try this, change
- ro.product.name=d2att
- ro.product.device=d2att
- ro.product.model=SGH-I747
- ro.build.product=d2att
This should make your phone think it's an AT&T phone again, remember keep a nandroid handy just in case...

I've got the Canadian version, and other than bloat apps and some carrier settings are they not the same phones for the most part? I might be talking out of my ass here, but should the devs not have too much trouble porting a custom Rom from one variant to the others.
Also, it really hasn't even been two weeks since the phone hit the market and it is already unlocked. I am making the assumption that all the variants will be getting some custom Rom love pretty soon. I'm sure it takes a bit of time.

idk what happened to the signal..

i was rooting my friend's s2 and he wanted paranoid android. so i downloaded that, installed the rom and gapps and his signal gave out. he had the phone for over a year and he used it to tell me he was outside so for sure it isnt stolen. i thought maybe it was the rom so i installed slim bean and still nothing. i tried my sim and nada. i didnt mess with any of the apn settings. the signal with no data would come in for about 3 seconds then give out again. maybe i should update the firmware? would anyone know where i could find the latest one? im so lost hah.. thanks xda community
