Does this even work on the n4? On the play store says it is not compatible, is it true, or maybe is my rom that isn't supported?

It's your ROM, I can get on CM10.1, I would suggest just doing a nandroid backup, flashing CM10.1 downloading the game, then do titanium backup of the game and restore. Should work.

You're probably using a custom dpi. Yes?

He probably changed his DPI. I tried playing this game on stock and the graphics were all messed up. Basically unplayable.

Yes i think, i'm on paranoid...
What is the default dpi?
My problem is that i can't even Download the game.
Set your ui dpi back to 320.
Delete Google frame services data in settings > app.
Flash this hacked market apk for multi dpi.

Enjoy full market compatibility for your device no matter the dpi.

I remember buying gta 3, nova 2 and modern combat on my gnexus. I updated it to gummynex 4.0.4. Now I cant find the apps on google play. Is there something on my ROM saying that my device isnt compatible?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I know it's compatible cause I've bought theese games before.. I don't understand why I can't find them anymore
Have you tried searching and installing them from the web interface?
Try this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rockstar.gta3
Thanks, but that's not the real issue. I'm wondering why I suddenly CAN'T search for ANY of theese games on my google play account any more... It's so annoying!
More than likely an issue with info in the build.prop
Compare the build.prop of your previous ROM to your current one to see what's different.

Yes, but when you clicked my link above what did it say? Did it give you the "not compatible" error?
Yeah.. Not compatible :S Why in earth would gummynex change the build prop to not support theese games? Can it be because I've changed the dpi?

I tried that too and it didn't help. I even did a restore of my old build prop file without luck :/
You can download LCD Density Modder. This app can solve the incompatibility issues you are having. (only with paid version) I had the same problems like you. This app tricks the market into thinking you are at the rigt dpi settins.
Thanks man! Bit first I need to change it back so that google play can recognize it. Isnt 320 the right dpi? Because I STILL have the issue..
I take it that this lcd density program needs to be installed on a device that ALREADY works with google play at first hand...?

Anyone else finding this phone is not compatible with a lot of android apps?. All the apps I purchased (about 75) were compatible with my Samsung Galaxy W. Now half of them, if not more, are not compatible with the S2X. A phone that's twice as powerful.
Is there any way of fixing this?

I realized this is main problem, thank you. DPI was set to 200 and now I reverted back to 240, many of the apps are working again. Although some apps are still not compatible

Your dpi needs to be that of a native resolution. 160 240 or 320.
Or you can use a hacked market and Google services framework which always returns a constant value for your display resolution.

The second link looks more promising. I've tried a couple and have gotten a lot of other errors not related to compatibility. So I modded my own. It has simply JUST the dpi hack nothing more nothing less.

i flashed the 2nd link, i can now see all my apps and update them (sweet!) but still missing the movies and book section of the market and the categories of apps like "top apps" and "top paid" only show like 5 apps... weird. i posted there to see what he says.
UPDATE: I can confirm the second link works perfectly. The whole market is there, all apps are there, displays all currently installed apps and able to update all apps.
Running CM10 #3
Can we change the density of our n4 already and use a modded google play?
I don't see why that would be an issue.

if you do it correctly play wont be a problem.
set it all up standard, except all the stuff at first launch.
and then just edit the build prop and reboot. simple
i dont think it would work..u will probably end up getting a bootloop

You can edit build.prop or download an app that will do it for you. For the least amount of headaches you should download the modified version of the play store which will allow you to have various densities with having to wipe Play Store data.

You do that if you use not standard PPI, like 280, 240 and 320 are both standard and don't need modified play store

why exactly would that happen?
I want to change it to 260 ppi but I'm going to have problems with google store. I stil have not found a modded google play for 3.10.9
Playstore compatible ppi are:
ldpi low-density (ldpi) screens (~120dpi)
mdpi medium-density (mdpi) screens (~160dpi).
hdpi high-density (hdpi) screens (~240dpi).
xhdpi extra high-density (xhdpi) screens (~320dpi).
So go for 240 if you want the stock playstore working
It is so perfect the way it is! Why would you want to change it? That was actually one of the first things I noticed. I was like, "Yay! I don't need to mess with build.prop."
I tired changing my dpi to 240 and for some reason i can't get past the google logo now. think i will have to sideload a stock img to fix.

Yeah. It happened to me. There is no way.
I'm running 200 dpi and I haven't encountered any compatibility issues with the Play Store or any other apps.
However, after a couple hours, I have to relog into the Amazon app store. Not sure if this is dpi related (pretty sure it isn't).
Are y'all using an app to change dpi or manually editing the build.prop. I'd definitely recommend the latter to avoid any issues.

I have the t-mobile samsung galaxy note 2 and am currently running the liquidsmooth rom, I was previously running the Jedi-X14 and Carbon Rom. I bought NBA2k13 in the google play store and have played the game on my phone before, but I am currently am not able to play the game while on the liquidsmooth rom. I made changes to the build prop file (from GT-7105 to SGH-T889) and even installed the multi dpi play store cause i read that it might have been a dpi issue to try to fix the problem and still am not able to download and install the game as the play store always says that the phone is not compatible. Can anyone help me in this issue?
The only thing I can suggest is make a backup with titanium and then restore. Or let google be it friend

the things I have tried or what I figured out through searches on the forums here and through google. don't really understand why it's giving me this compatibility issue when I have not ever had this before!
maybe someone who reads this thread and has NBA2k13 installed on their phone can upload their build prop for me or something!
