Well, technically not... You could get your hboot version and the CID using getcid from the store and figure it out, but a PC is needed to relock and flash the RUU, or flash the boot.img.
Sv: [Q] cant check to update htc one x
You can still update, just not through ota unless your custom rom supports it. You can update when your ROM developer releases an update, check his forum

You need stock recovery to install an OTA update.
Well you are not on full stock that's why it get stuck !
Stock not rooted rom (original nandroid)
Stock boot.img (kernel)
Stock recovery
Or use the right RUU
Is what you need
Search for getting back to stock ! Q&A is full with these posts......
I'm not the one who's gonna spoonfead you ! It's damn easy to use a search button

Download the 4.03 ruu for your device and run it which will make sure everything is stock then do the OTA update to 4.04 then to 4.1.1 jb.

You have to unroot your rom, there is an app that can turn on and off the root function. I saw someone mention it in another thread ...don't know if it's in the playstore !
And you should have taken a nandroid backup from the official rom before you applied root !
The app is called ota root keeper ....
Okay. I am a total noob and i managed to unlock my HTC One V bootloader and i think i rooted my phone. Now when i try to turn on my phone it gets stuck at the HTC quietly brilliant white screen with red words at the bottom somewhat saying "This build is for developers only blah blah blah" and it stays there. I am using TWRP as the recovery and i just want to erase everything so i can atleast turn on my phone and use it i honestly dont care if its rooted anymore or not someone please help. :silly:

i changed the image name and it helped! now the bootloader says relocked without any security warning (earlier there used to be a security warning when I tried to fastboot oem lock).
But the RUU failed. I guess it's because the radio version is 3831.19.00.120 whereas the RUU is 3831.17.00.18

No, it ain't working. May be I am not able to follow the correct procedure but I am sure that the radio versions doesn't match . So, I've very little hope with that RUU. May be you could try another ROM. There are some ROMs that are very much similar with the stock one. I am using one of its kind and it's working fine. Very much similar to the stock ROM.

Well, I was searching for a kernel and flashed one for the ORIGINAL One X.. I have TWRP and s-off. After I flashed it it said there was no os installed when trying to reboot. When mounting USB storage it tells me it's not formatted then says it's write protected. I try to use adb to push a rom to the storage (internal and sdcard) but nothing shows up despite saying it transferred. Did I brick my phone?!
You've definitely done goofed.

I guess it was for a different version of the one x (international maybe?). I have the ATT version
It was this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44061483#post44061483
Oke, well what does this command give you for a number ?
Fastboot getvar version-main
And you can run any ruu for for your phone because you say you have s-off.
But what does the bootloader say :
A : Endeavoru ?
B : Evita ?
C : something else ?

A : Endeavoru ?
B : Evita ?
C : something else ?

3.18.502 - Also, it says Evita at the bootloader
As i thought, at this moment you are in the wrong forum, this is for the endeavouru one x and not the evita one xl.
Go to the AT&T HTC one XL forum and continue there.
Well to be helpful i guess you can try this :
Put the phone in the bootloader and relock the bootloader, then run this ruu with admin rights
http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/3...radio-024p320906-101303234-release-signedexe/
It should flash the phone back to full stock and you can restart again after that.
