Perseus kernel sound tweaks conflict - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Is there a way to remove the audio tweaks from the Perseus kernel? Because i think they are co routing and preventing the awesome beats from working on my note 2.

I never had an issue. I found the audio adjustments on kernel level sound world's better than awesome beats though. The tweaks here allow you to take advantage of the Wolfson DAC in the phone. Have you tried playing around with them?

Music questions

I've had power amp since the original Evo, but with the acid audio mod I wanted to try it and see if it improved blue tooth audio.. But I can't seem to find out if it has any benefits.
I know that the acid mod doesn't work with power amp, but what players receive the benefits? Can I use the stock player?

I still use poweramp...always gave me the best audio results even with DSP manager on AOSP ROMs or awesome beats on TW ROMs. Tweak the audio equalizer to your liking and you get great audio.

anyone notice music causes a wakelock? on stock music apps on the latest aokp
What players do not get any benefits from acid? I'm not hearing any difference on stock or power amp

The only difference I've noticed is that it's a bit louder

Does fayxsound fix low recording volumes?

Some of the later aosp ROMs support faux sound and I'm wondering if anyone has tried that out and can tell me if it fixes the low recording volume

I'm on intergalactic, a tw based ROM, and have no issues with recording volume, in both voice recorder, and in video.

No, it doesn't fix low recording volume in AOSP ROMs...
Yes I'm on csrom right now too and have no issue but would like to run an aosp ROM .
Thanks for the replies.

[Q] Voodo

Does anyone know what custom kernel voodoo comes with?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
It doesn't come with any kernel but the saber kernel supports it.

U know if Perseus alpha kernel supports it?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
if you install the Perseus kernel, the app STweaks does all sorts of mods for it, including audio mods...Voodo can be installed with it, but you wont use it, as STweaks has all sorts of audio tweaks in it..

Sound output

Will the sound output increase if I flash a custom Rom? Or is the sound output bound to the hardware?

Some roms which supports dsp manager increases the volume. But also it is earpiece depended

Viper4android is a great mod... Has some great gain settings...! Also if your kernel has faux sound support that's good too

Volume...

I have notice the touchwiz 4.4.2 has a better sound volume then asop roms. I feel asop speaker is low. Like in app like espn watch touchwiz gave me a better sound quality. And I'm not using that viper audio app.
What's your opinion and what kind of tweaked did you do to get asop rom loud
And clear
Thank you
