Sry for double posting but i don't want to open a new thread
I can't install Facebook, it gaves me "Not compatible with your device"
My XPlay is displayed as SEMC Sony Ericsson r800i
It might only work with default dpi, 240. Set it back and factory reset. Or if not, then you might have to flash a different rom, like FXP CM10. There are too many factors for this.
You were right with the DPI
I changed it back to normal and it works
Thx

i want to use xperia s home.apk but i cant change it on cyanogen mod (it uses trebuchet as default)
can anyone explain me how can i change it?
thanks!
(should i only rename home.apk to trebuchet.apk? jaj)
"i cant change it on cyanogen mod" is a bit vague - u gotta explain your problem...
r u sure installing unsigned apps is enabled?
Is the xperia s home not dependant on stock firmware? If so then you can't use it on cm9, aokp, miui etc. There's an xperia home for any rom in Android general, if that's any use.
install the apk or if you already did go to Trebechuet launcher in settings n pick clear defaults
Hi Good day, I changed the LCD density of my epic to 190 & now play store says "Your device isn't compatible with this version" I understand that a good fix for this is to revert back to the default density, however somewhere in the past I heard about a fix that will enable me to patch the market but I cant seem to find the right one. .I would really appreciate anyone's help thanks
Help anyone? thanks
You need to set the density to 240, go to settings>apps>all and clear the data for playstore, reboot, open playstore and hit accept when it asks about terms and conditions, set your density back to 190 or whatever you want(you can't go below 185 with out a modded phone.apk) then reboot and your market will work normally. This needs to be done anytime the market updates itself to have the market think the density is at stock value. I haven't found an updated playstore with the mod and the playstore auto updates itself in the background so using an old version with the mod will just update itself to the newest version anyways

Please direct that to someone that better knows this device, it's a completely different brand and so the issue could be different as well.
hi guys, just wanna to ask. recently, i have ported paranoid cm9 xperia arc to xperia pro. now, backlight keyboard is not working. i think there are some missing files from paranoid rom. so, the main question is where the backlight keyboard files in /system ?. my base rom from cm9 nightly build 2012-9-4.
I'm apologize for my bad english.
EDIT:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
never mind. i found it under framework-res.apk by editing .xml..
Here you go
The keyboard backlight is in the boot image, and the actual file that controls lights, /system/lib/hw/lights.n1.so may be missing some stuff or missing permissions.
Hit "Thanks" if anyone helped you. :good:

Hi! Brothers and Sisters......
Good day to you from Myanmar.:fingers-crossed:
I'd like to know how to customize my arc S?
Don't want to use any custom ROM or something custom. I already tried and using the following:
1. Xperia S Live with Walkman port
2. Notification Toggle port
3. Default Themes change
4. Infinite View change
5. Onscreen button (already tried, but not work)
6. Xperia S Launcher (already tried but not using now)
So.... how can I customize or port something another great to my stock rom .587, Unlockedbootloader? Any great things left to add to my devices?
And also with stock firmware .587, my wifi signal is frequently lost especially when i enter to new address or new download even I stay beside the router. How can I fix this as Sony still don't fix that problem?
Thanks in advance for reading and your advices.
Sorry for my poor English language which makes you to fell something uncomfortable.
Have a nice day to all of Members and Guest. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
You'll need to learn to theme and/or develop.

Hi everybody, I wonder if it is now possible to sign system apk for the stock firmware.
I'm currently on the 4.0.4 build 6.1.A.2.45 and try to instal the zerosms app I had on my previous x10 with Cyanogen.
I know it's a hard question/problem but I didn't fellow the xperia scene for a while and we never know^^
The fact is I'm not ready to "rape" my Xperia S like I do to my x10 XD
Anyway, have a nice day and sorry for my poor english.
Vilam
EDIT : another little question : is it possible to update manually from 6.1.A.2.45 to 6.1.A.2.55 ?
There is a way to sign apps
There is a app for linux and windows called signapk it is a java app and I suggest you Google it
Ps
And yes you can manualy upgrade
Just download a stock ftf or flashable zip of your desired version
Thanks for your answer, the problem is the app I want to sign is a system app so I guess I need the private key or something similar that is not avaible to stock firmware, or maybe I miss something big ?
