Hey guys, I bought the white wireless charging kit from Alibaba express and it works perfectly however I wasn't too happy about the indicator lights as they were too bright for me and I couldn't sleep at night with those bright LED's..so I went ahead and carried out a small mod. This might be helpful to someone so thought I'd share it here.
I opened up the charger and placed a thick piece of tape on one of the sides right next to the LED's. This side faces my bed so I wanted to make sure all that light bleed was taken care of.

Then I cut out small pieces of black tape and placed them right above the LED's.
Here's how it looks.
I also stuck an NFC sticker on the inside which I've programmed to toggle between silent modes and use before going to bed.
Here's how it looks, a good round LED with no light bleed and NFC functionality as a bonus
Sorry I didn't take any before pictures but those who own this charger will know how it looks and is not very pleasant.
Cheers.

you should of opt for a black base, not light bleed and less bright.
I personally just used a single strip of black electrical tape.solved all that within seconds.
Do you happen to have any before pics for comparison?

Galaxy S Battery Charger w/ Stand
samsung.com/us/consumer/mobile/mobile-phones/mobile-phone-accessories/ET-CHGPKNVGSTA/index.idx?pagetype=acc_detail&subsubtype=chargers&tab=accFeatures
but i can't quite tell how it works. does that flat part flip down to cover the spare battery as it charges? or is that the back of the stand? do you just set the phone up in that groove toward the rear of the device? is there a charging connector built into the stand part, or do you still have to manually plug it in?
sorry for the stream of questions - does anyone have experience with this?
I have the battery stand and it can hold the phone only if the cover is tilted. When you do use it to hold up the phone, battery is exposed

Being mobile and on the go during and after work, 1 battery wont be enough for me and an external charger will help greatly.

Ph00ny...perfect, now I see how it works. Sitting in the stand, there is no integrated charging solution since the micro usb is on the top, right?
Well that's great for an extra battery, but the phone just sits there and doesn't get charged. Some body must have a better solution.

Samsung has another Dock that holds the phone Horizontally and charges it:
They call it a multimedia dock
http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=accessories
ph00ny, can you lay the phone horizontally, or does it have to stand up?
It works great in horizontal orientation. You don't even have to open the battery cover
I will take some more pics tonight

Cool, I don't know how I missed that as I had been through their accessories pages quite a few times. Does it actually have a media out of some sort? I can't tell from the pic but it looks like there is another port on the back of it. And ofcourse it's out of stock.
Hi
I have found a case wich seems great, but I can't find any review or test (appart the one of the official site, like "OMG when I received this case it was the best day ever")
http://www.spigen.com/spigen-sgp-samsung-galaxy-note-leather-case-leinwand-series.html
It seems pretty good... but a little bulky, no ? And maybe to pricy for the quality ?
Besides, according to amazon or wathever, the product weight 227 g (8 onces), which is like 2 times the weight of the GN ! Is it the whole box or just the product ?

Could you make a small review if the case? For example does it have any magnets? Also is it stable enough when used as a stand?

yup thats what i based my decision on. the stand however is a bit tipsy and the case needs some flexing before it will stand properly. other than that, no complaint.

Regarding the stand position could you also place it horizontally rather than vertically as shown in the video?

it works in both portrait and landscape mode, but it is highly recommended in landscape for videos and such because it's super flimy in portait.
What I ment was placing it in landscape mode but more horizontal rather than vertical as shown in the video. To be more accurate I mean using the bigger part as the stand rather than the small one as displayed.
I think what he meant was if he could get more angle when using the flip as a stand.

I just got my replacement phone from Sprint and there are some things that are different from the phone that I got at Radio Shack in July. The pictures were taken with my old S2, which is now my mom's so that's why it has a pink care.
First, the colors of the phone are different. The new phone is more of a grayish color. The replacement phone is on the left and the old phone is on the right.

Next, the power buttons have different sized icons and again you can see the color difference. New phone on top old one on bottom.
Finally, the home buttons are completely different. The new one is a purplish color and is long and short while the old one is a gray color and is short and tall. The new one is on the left and the old one is on the right.
Also, the buttons are much more clicky and I like that, but they squeak sometimes.
So, which phone do you have?
I got the exact one you got in July. Also got my at launch .I think they changed a few things because the pebble blue was in such demand and they couldn't keep up with production and probably used a third party to help. Which is why some are different .

I got the white phone so I don't know
There was some cosmetics issues that kept appearing in the original pebble(the one you previously had) and Samsung fixed those issues with the next pebble blue(the one you have now).

It must've been pretty shortly after the main production where they switch the color. I bought my phone maybe a month or 2 months after lunch and it too also has more of a gray appearance like the replacement you received. However I'll be getting that phone replaced because it's dead now so make sure to let you know what my replacement looks like.

I've used it for about a week now and I like it a lot better. The screen seems to also be improved. My other phone had scratches all over it after the first week and this one still looks brand new. The only complaint I have is the squeaky buttons.

All of the dials are Android Wear by default but they can all be changed to Nixon or Moto360 but adjusting the opacity of the logo images.

Nice.... The design kinda reminds of Ulysses Nardin watches for some reason, albeit a bit more on the simpler side. It would be awesome if someone made a UN face

Thanks for the great watch face, the black and orange is my go to face.
The recent update still has the day off for me, it says Monday, but its Sunday at 9:30 am.
I guess we have to wait for Facer to really get to the bottom of it.
That's really strange, I use 1 of these everyday and it has never been wrong for me. Noe it would be a lot easier to adjust though. If you go into Tue settings for that hand you should just be able to adjust the +2.
My watch shows Sunday, see attachrd screenshot

I'm not sure what you mean by +2.
Where do I add that in the rotation code?
The updated face should use the following for the rotation
((((#DD#+((#Dyy#+2)%7))%7)+(#DH#/24))*(360/7)) if yours doesn't display that, its not the updated version.

At the back
Inside is this thingymajig. I'm pretty sure this is some sort of a dock or something
Rear view
Tried putting it together. With all my best efforts, I've failed.
Only got this far. I dunno how to build the back part.
I tried searching for it on the interwebz but to no success.
Can anyone please point me out to a tutorial on how to build this?
Extra info: My OPO doesn't come with the Cyanogenmod logo at the back (dunno if this is a good thing). And it's got ColorOS bundled (Now using temasek's).
TIA!!
Have you scanned that qr code? May be some info will be there.

Thank you very much!
How is the slot made? Is it folded inwards? If so, guess I'll have to work a bit with scissors and glue ?
Can you provide the measure of that big horizontal fold near the top, so that I could calculate its dimension (preferably in metric)? ☺
Thank you again! ?
no idea if this is right or not (dont have the dock) but it looks like it might be an opening for a "speaker"
if you look in the bottom of the slot where the phone sits, you can see that its open for the speakers.....so maybe the sound gets directed down and out the back side of the dock.....maybe?
dont have anything that I can draw, but the opening at the back might point towards the phone....so the sound kinda loops around.
