Am I wiping everything or not?

i read somewhere (yet to test) if you wipe data in CWM that it doesnt wipe virtual sd (pics, videos, songs, etc..)...but if u wipe from the factory reset option under settings in the phone, then it does wipe everything...is this true?
Wiping data and cache in CWM do not wipe the virtual SD card but yes, factory resetting will.

[Q]Can't format internal storage

So I recently flashing task650's 12/2 aokp ROM and I wanted to format my internal storage but I can't seem to do so. I've tried setting-back up and reset- factory data reset and tried formating SD card from recovery mode but none have worked. Any help?

[Q]Formatting Internal SD Card

Hi!
I have tried googling answers, but I can't seem to find a clear one. My question is, how can I format the internal SD card? I remember from my past android phones (skyrocket, infuse, HTC vivid) I was able to format the internal through settings. I can't seem to do that now...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In cwm, go to mounts and storage, there should be an option that says format external sd.
While the phone is on, go into system settings and the syorage, scroll down it ahould let u format the sd card from there aswell.

[Q] Cm 10.1 and storage

Does anyone know why after installing CM10.1 I only have 3 gb left?
Because you haven't done a complete wipe of your phones internal memory.

Can I get some help here? It's the first time I root/flash a custom rom. I did it with CWM, my steps were these:
1.- Back up with CWM.
2.- Wipe data/factory settings.
3.- Wipe Cache partition
4.- Wipe dalvik cache
5.- Install CM10.1/gaaps from external sdcard
Did I miss something?
I did the same steps as you but when in recovery I can see the old files in the memory even though I did factory reset.

Try installing Philz recovery and choose the option "Install new ROM". It wipes all necessary things automatically. Never failed me!
