Yesterday my HTC Excalibur stopped receiving calls, text messages and would not make calls.
I turned the phone off, took the battery and SIM Card out, put it in 5 minutes later hoping it would work again, it did not.
I did a reset of the phone (accessories, clear storage, 1234), that did not work.
This morning I tried swapping SIM cards with someone else (to see if was the service provider). Both SIM Cards worked in my friends Sony Ericsson but neither worked in my HTC Excalibur.
I have the 3V0 Windows Mobile 6.5 installed.
Is there a way I can fix this?

No, I don't know how.
The phone came with it installed. I bought it new, but the seller installed WM 6.5 before shipping, so it's more like open box.
How long does it take? Should I leave that as a last resort?
Is there anything I can tweak on my phone right now?

Where can I find the most up to date and fastest Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM?
EDIT: OP shared more info related via PM, thread re-open.
As I sent you via PM, hard reset or reflash your device. If that doesn't work get a new sim from your carrier since it can be network related.

reflashed to 6.1 but still no luck.
Again I tried another working sim from the same carrier, both sims work in my friends phone, but neither work on my s620.
I'v been in contact with jockyw2001 for his Excalibur Sim Unlock.
I just don't understand why I have to pay someone for this, I just bought the phone less than a month ago and it's been working perfectly.
How did this happen? How did my phone get locked?

Probably is your internal antenna (hardware). Have you made sure that phone radio is on?

Yes, the phone radio is on.
Now sometimes it says Rogers Wireless rather than searching.
But when I call someone, it does everything but complete the call. It just beeps twice and says 00:00.

Should I open the phone and pull the antennas closer together like I read in a thread on this forum?

That's the last resort my friend....when a doctor doesn't know what the patient has...he opens to see what's the problem .
This is something that you do it at your own risk, maybe you have some dirt inside that needs to be clean.
Good luck,
jockyw2001 says my IMEI is unlocked.
Hey guys,
I am now able to send texts. But I can't receive texts, make calls or receive calls.
any suggestions?
I filed a claim on eBay. That seems to be the best option.
Hi All,
I have bought an unlocked HTC about 3 years ago, and basically, this works with any SIM. I have used it all over Europe, with no problems. However I am having trouble using it here in the UK.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
How about some more information, eg what sim, what troubles, etc.

The SIM is Vodafone, and I cannot connect to the network, ie no calls or sms. I tried the SIM in another phone and it works. So it is the HTC that is giving problems. And I am sure that the HTC is unlocked, since I have tried other SIM cards when in Europe and all of them worked.
I have another SIM from Vodafone from another country in Europe, and it does not work either inside the HTC.
Possible cure?
If you don't have a SIM PIN, try setting one. If you already have one, skip that step. Then, try changing your screen security, for example from Slider to a PIN and then back to Slider.
I put a known good SIM in my phone in the UK and had no wireless connectivity until I forced the phone to ask me for my SIM pin while it was running (i.e., not on boot - rebooting didn't help). For some reason, changing the screen security triggered a request to enter the SIM pin, and then suddenly wireless was back.
I can't repeat the cause of the lost connectivity, but I have repeated this cure on subesquent occasions when I've lost wireless.
Take your HTC to Vodafone. There might be some settings missing.

Actually I did not need it!
And an update, I took the phone to the store and they fixed the problem. They guy at the counter entered something on the phone and it started working. Guess I had some missing setting.

Good news. But you're still gonna need that PUK code one day if there's a SIM pin and you don't know it!

Using my old Tilt 2 on AT&T overclocked to 768 MHz - it still gets the job done.
Recently started considering switching to Straight Talk to save $40/mo but realized I'd need to unlock the device to do so.
Requested and received an unlock code from AT&T, but have not applied it as of yet.
My question is:
1. Can I use an old Tracfone sim during the unlock procedure
2. Most importantly, when I unlock the phone, will it still function the same? Will the unlocking cause a hard reset, or change my connection settings, or wipe out my contacts and other data?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
When I unlocked my AT&T Tilt, it worked just the same as it did before. No change in operations. To be on the safe side, back up your phone before you do the job, and if it has an sd card I'd pull it out...

the SIM it's new, got it 2 weeks ago with another new phone i bought from metropcs, but do you know what that error means or something ? because i've seen different ones, like MM#6 & MM#4
Is the phone blacklisted?
Not a clue on the error. Never seen anyone else report one like that before.

I'm in Canada and I use this website to check for black lists: http://www.protectyourdata.ca/check-the-status-of-your-device-in-canada/
If you want, could input your imei as another check.
I see Metro PCS uses AWS bands which the i747 and i747m does not natively support (http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1498...-network-frequencies-and-phone-compatibility/).
Yeah.wanna to unlock your phone try galaxsim unlock apk from play store.
Features:
Easily sim unlock your Samsung Galaxy family smartphone/tablet (S, S2, S3, some S4, Tab, Tab2, Note, Note2...) so you can use any other network operator.
No need for unlock code on most devices: as simple as one button click, and you can change your carrier sim card !
GalaxSim Unlock is*. Even with recent ICS or JB roms update, your GS2, GS3, GS4 or Note2 won’t relock after reboot.
Hit thanks?

Does anyone know of another way to unlock my SIM other than the before method because I believe it has been patched cuz I woke up this morning hadn't reset my phone nothing and it would tell me my sim was not supported
You might want to be more specific. Which variant of Pixel 6 do you have (which carrier)? Which previous method are you talking about?
To clarify, are you looking for SIM (carrier) unlock, or bootloader unlock, or both?
Also, do any of these threads in this search result for the word unlock in thread-titles only in this section help?
Yeah you're right. I didn't think of that lol Stoner moment I have the T-Mobile Google Pixel 6 pro and I was doing the factory reset and then enter ADB command and shell to temporary unlock SIM and now it's not working at all. So I was just trying to see if anyone knew of another workaround other than you know the usual call T-Mobile and give them the sob story

You have to pay for the phone.. if you can somehow switch to verizon you might be able to get them to turn off sim lock, but the phone has to be paid off by you or verizon/att

Hi I tried this method and yes it works I have a p6p from att and did this phone worked great on verizon I used it like that for a couple of days . But I ended up paying for a code using a site now that I got the confirmation I did a factory reset and I'm now able to toggle the oem unlock setting under develor options. Also it worked with my verizon sim with no problem after the reset.
Now just need to find some free time and try the adb bootloader unlock command.

It told me it needed 1 to 3 days to get the code. I did it on a Friday at around 1:30 got my confirmation email on yesterday Monday at around 7pm. Sundays and Saturdays don't count as business days. Now it turns out that they unlock it on their own or something like that. I didn't received a code on the email it was just stated that it was unlock. I was worried at first because I was expecting a code. I check the developer options and the oem unlock was greyed out I wasn't able to toggle it on. I said I'm going to try a factory reset. I did just that on the setup process I put my Verizon sim and it work with no problem and I was now able to turn on the oem setting
