AOKP JB-MR1 Unofficial Nightlies for the toroplus
What is it?
A pure, untampered with AOKP Nightly based on Google's Android OS 4.2.1 direct from source, compiled by myself and uploaded for your pleasure.
Unless noted otherwise, these are straight merged nightlies from AOKP's github.
What's the difference between a nightly, a milestone, and a PUB release?
A nightly is only the officially merged changes to AOKP, added whenever it passes review codes and tests, as the changes come. A Milestone release is whenever there are enough significant changes to the ROM to where the AOKP team decides it is time to officially publish it and showcase it, and a PUB (Project Unicorn Butter) release is from a member of Team AOKP that adds different changes that haven't officially been merged yet. While most of the time these changes are considered stable, they have not been officially checked off yet.
Why?
Why not? I started compiling them for myself and decided to share with whomever also wanted the latest and greatest, free of buzz words and hype.
NOTICE!
For anyone that uses their phone in spanish it is a reported bug about force closes. If you are experiencing this, you will need to factory reset, setup the phone in english, then change the language used to spanish. I apologize, this is nothing particular to my build, but to AOKP in general for the time being. Thanks for your patience!
Changelog
Can be found Here and the current list of cherry picks is as follows:
Chronus built in as system app, updated direct from CM source
Features chronus preferences in rom control--->clock--->clock widget
Downloads
AOKP TORO+ 3/15/13 CP
AOKP TORO+ 3/24/13 CP
AOKP TOROPLUS 4/11/13
AOKP TOROPLUS 4/13/13
These nightlies will ONLY work on the Sprint Galaxy Nexus (toroplus), flashing these will require a custom recovery, for your sake I hope you are on the latest either CWM or TWRP2. If not on the latest recovery you will receive the 0/0/0/0 folder error
The gapps package I recommend using can be found at this link, gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
The usual disclaimers and everything else still apply, so if you install this on a non toro+ phone, please don't blame me.
gapps flashing is still required, and I recommend nexus louder beta.
Credits
Team AOKP, in particular Pro Tekk for his amazing guide on compiling at RootzWiki
Dizzy Thermal, for supporting my crack flashing habit for quite some time

It's been such a long time since I've been on sprint. Can you flash a new baseband? Unfortunately, as stated in op, this was a request to build. This is the one I can't physically test myself. If the radio doesn't work for anyone, I will pull the thread down. Any suggestions to get it going? If this doesn't work I don't want to mess peoples days up. This is literally one more line in a script to build this "./build/envsetup.sh && brunch toroplus" let me know if there is any working basebands. Again, I apologize for the problem, and I'll be looking into this, unfortunately I will have no way to test.

what radio .img does it list that you guys have crespo or toroplus?
has anyone tried this?

I replaced the libsec-ril_lte.so file (located in the System>Vendor>lib folder with a file of the same name from a Rom w/ working data ( I used Euroskank), and 2) I replaced the TelephonyProvider.apk from the folder System>App with a file of the same name from the same Rom w/ working data (again i used Euroskank) (I am not sure if this 2nd step is required, but I know Step 1 was for sure). Anyway, this fixed the no data issue in Liquid (check that thread as others verified it worked). OK. I am told the other one failed as well. I don't know if it is something that might have gotten broken on my side, AOKP's gerrit, something to do with Sprint, without any actual sprint nexus I will probably never know. I am not in the business of intentionally messing up peoples days so I am pulling links. I apologize for anyone who got time wasted out of there day on this one.

Don't delete it looks like you just need to add the new lte driver from the sprint ROM also if you are using the device tree from AOSP or if AOKP didn't update the device tree. The issue is that the .mk files and the recovery in the AOSP toroplus device tree don't communicate with the radios period so you just need to get a working device tree you can use mine if you want as a base to build your own.

Radio Test
The above link has another compile, with a new device tree that should allow the radio to work. If anyone is feeling brave enough to test for me as I have i9250, not this phone, I can not personally test to see if baseband unknown is resolved or not. If you do flash this, and it works, please respond back either in forum or a PM, that way I know I can safely compile for sprints version
Sorry but baseband still unknown.
Don't give up. I believe in you lol
Did u check to see if your build is using the cdma apns conf as opposed to the standard apns conf.
Im going to repo sync aokp. And run a build now too see whats missing. But i can tell you the fact that it has the wrong networks. In the network mode selection. And no apns. Your missing some needed sprint files

Continuing on from the success of the EOS ICS roms, we present to you EOS3, based on JELLYBEAN!
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. For the latest news on Team EOS releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #teameos.

NOTE: Team EOS, it’s members, friends, dogs, cats, and associates are in no way responsible for any loss of data or device functionality. Use this at your own risk!
--
A quick note on Nightlies: NIGHTLIES ARE DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. They are automatically generated every now and then, and represent the compilation of the latest commits to the code repository. While every effort is made ensure that the commits that are accepted are stable and do not have a negative impact to the overall performance and function of the builds it is not possible to test every aspect of a commits impact to the overall repo prior to it’s inclusion in a given build. As a result it is entirely possible that instabilities may be introduced as a result of a given days commits. That is the nature of the nightly system, and the risk that is taken using the latest code changes to the project.
EOS is an AOSP based rom. It is developed and maintained by Team EOS and is the culmination of our own in house development efforts.

G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:
Temporary Gapps package gapps

Kernel Note: This rom is currently using the stock kernel, so you can find the sources from aosp.

Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery.
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY ICS or JB based rom.

Yes. This is built from AOSP. This is not a port from a system dump. And because these are nightlys (more likely 2-3 times a week-lys) new features will be popping up.
Well you are correct. This is a BEAST right off the line. Appreciate all the hard work.

Just flash the new nightly over the top, no need to wipe or install gapps again.
this is horrible. non-stock, the first boot is heavily modified (does not ask you to back up/restore, does not ask about location)
battery percentage mod that cannot be removed
edited the boot animation.
Very disappointed, would never have installed this. I recommend the Are U Jellin RC3 to anyone considering this one.
Do we need to wipe/factory reset if coming from the ACS port? I would think so right? I can't wait to get on to a true AOSP ROM, those ports just feel too....hacked

About the battery percentage, Go into settings, scroll down to "EOS SETTINGS", click on "Interface", then disable "Show battery text"

Parents just don't teach their kids respect these days, do they? If you have something to say about the ROM say it but watch your mouth and show some proper respect. Right now you are in someone else's house and eating their food, don't be rude. And I'm pretty sure Google backup and restore comes from the Gapps, not the ROM.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
What are Nightly build ? : auto compile build from the CyanogenMod github, each time there are new corrections on it.
This version change each night, and aren't support officialy, if you find bugs/issues you can/must discuss here.
There are no Google Apps bundled with CM ROMs, because Google asked Cyanogen to remove copyrighted apps from his roms,

Cherry pick list
* CyanogenMod's latest merges: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:cm-12.1,n,z
* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about and building CyanogenMod and Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes to their kernel causing custom kernels to break things until they catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

So, I've been doing unofficial nightlies for geeb for about 2 months now, and everyone seems happy with them on the AT&T forum. I was getting bored, so decided to see what I could do with the gproj kernel. Apparently a few others had the same idea at the same time.
No support for external SD cards in this one, Canadian ONLY
I'll be building this in addition to my mako-based geeb build. I've added a ton of governors to the kernel, and BLX is included. Autofocus works on this one!
Thanks to mathsz, paulicat, and the CM devs.
Downloads will be on my Google drive or my androidfilehost.
Please note, androidfilehost sucks a lot of the time.
CHANGELOG:
02/13 - This first build is based off of the stable/cm-11.0 branch, and is M3. Default governor is ondemand, I meant it to be wheatley but it's definitely changeable in performance settings after you enable developer options. This one is only on google drive.
02/14 - Fixed the issue with the governor being overridden by ondemand. This is based off stable, so no more updates until the next M build or an RC, which is probably next based on features already in...
Weird that we all the same idea.

I think we all hit a wall with how far we could take the mako stuff. I wish there was a newer gproj kernel but it works well.

03/09 - Building M4 w/ GCC 4.7 for kernel, linaro 4.8 for ROM. Will put up on google drive once it's done (probably tomorrow morning because I like sleep)

Sorry about the delay, ROM is up on android file host. Use 03/12
I only see one for e973, do you have a geeb version for the 03/12 build? My wifi wasn't working with the e973 versions.

are you using a jelly bean modem?
#1 cause of lost wifi : JellyBean modem is not flashed.
#2 cause of lost wifi : bad recovery.
Please make sure you are using a JB modem then, make sure you are using a recent recovery.
Then, when both these things are fixed, report back with a full log report for debug purposes.
Cheers man!

I was not at the time of testing the e973 build. I then flashed the jellybean modem (as per your suggestion, thanks again mathsz) to resolve my cell network going down at random intervals. And now the geeb version of this rom is the best I've had yet, very stable and everything I use is working.
So am I correct in assuming that the e973 and the geeb builds are interchangeable? what's the reason for making separate builds then? Sorry if I'm asking questions that have been answered somewhere else...

Oh man, sorry, I had not seen that it was you.
I read your PMs on the tablet
geeb, e973,
depends.
It depends on the source being used to build. gproj sources are device specific (mostly) and geeb should all work on e970,e971,e973.
soooooo e973 sources (Official cm based) should work on e970, but they will lose sd card and NFC (Although, by the way, Ron, if you delete the nfc product copy thing in the device tree, kernel takes care of it properly). And then, they can flash another nfc firmware to correct this and get working nfc. (or the other way around if canadians flash att roms)
the merge/seperation of models happened before me, I *THINK* this has to do with making the optimus G official for Cyanogenmod, but I am not sure, this is only speculation.
But mostly, this is good to know and should be stickied : you can flash att roms on canadian OG, and the other way around.
Differences I'm aware of are these :
Between geeb models :
e970 vs e973,e971 = nfc,sd card
Geeb to gee (e975, ls970):
same as above + camera module is different and FM radio support.
So, if vendor files are the same in a GEE rom, you can flash a geerom, then get a geeb boot.img and get everything working.
makes sense?
HA!
Yep, thanks very much for the explanation, basically I can flash both and should be fine.
And your post should be stickied for other Canadian users to see... Who moderates the stickies?

How'd it go?
I've been running this rom for weeks now, very stable, I haven't had any issues with it at all.

I just uploaded a new build, 03/31. It's on androidfilehost.
Still M4, but the kernel has some additional features now, including kernel mode neon and some linaro commits. It's not much faster, but a little better on battery.

Thanks! I'll try this out soon, battery life is always nice.
M5 build is up, some nice additions to the kernel. Mathsz did some testing, kernel is on par with mako sources now.
So, I was having problems with M5 and phone fc's. I built a nightly this morning and put it up on androidfilehost if anyone else is having issues. This one is working 100%

Hi, any chance on a new nightly? Hasn't been a new one in 3 months, if not I'll try and learn how to build it myself.
Thanks.

Nightlies can be found at get.cm for cyanogenmod and my official PAC ROM forum in this thread for your device.
I've been building for geeb, but there's a new e973 build too. Look under the stable/cm-11.0 branch folder

These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another rom:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data
Flash the rom
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both Dalvik. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

None that stuck out to me. I don't use this device regularly though, so it's up to you users to fill me in on anything that isn't obvious when I test a build.

OK. What device do you own, exactly. LS970? E970? In this forum I always have to ask.
Ls970. But with ukrainian cdma carrier.

Do you have a copy of your apns needed? If so, make a pastebin with them and post it, I'll add them in source
Using a ls970 whenever I install something using the package installer it will give the following "unfortunetly package installer has stopped " but the apps will have been successfully installed.
echo issues
My LS970 is on Freedompop, so I use SIP calling with both native dailer sip stack and csipsimple.
Echo is very bad on both.
This rom works and battery is great. But basic phone has major echo issue.
Is anyone else having same issue, can you help.
I have switched to rastapop, that one has no echo issues, but 3g does not work with that rom. There is no echo issues on stock or ART stock MOD kitkat.
I wish to use this rom, but can not, due to echo issues. Same echo issues on CM12 rom.
I want to go to some working lollipop rom without echo issues, but a working 3g. Can anyone help please?

ok, my bad. I was trying all lollipop roms here and confusion. No echo issue in this rom. But 3g does not work for me with this rom.
So bottom line is AOSP roms dont have echo issues. Where as CM roms have echo.
Only AOSP rom with working 3g for me is Liquid Smooth Lollipop.
Thank you OP for the effort. Wish someone could help me to get 3g working. I did all the usual switching to stock, EFS restore, but no go for 3g on this rom.

Well for one, EOS pulls commits from cm repos that would apply to this issue, so apparently it's not all cm roms. For your 3g issue, I can't tell you much. Even when my LS970 was activated I didn't have 3g, only 4g and could never figure out why. Also, last time I checked, liquid was cm based as well. I'll look at some things and see if something can be done though. Have you updated your profile, prl, on the latest firmware?

I tried a different nightly last time. Its possible echo is fixed in 6/18 that I tried.
I did the usual switching to stock, updating prl, profile and reverting to this. but no go.
Is 3g on this rom working for you or anyone with LS970 ?
Is there any specific nightly that has working 3g and no-echo?
